There are 56 Memory Chips hidden throughout Death Stranding. Collecting every Memory Chip unlocks the Fount of Knowledge trophy, which is required for the platinum trophy.
Most Memory Chips only appear after receiving the appropriate emails from connected facilities, so make sure you increase connection levels and regularly read your mail before searching for collectibles.
You can find Conan O'Brien through the Cosplayer prepper shelter northwest of South Knot City during Episode 3. After completing a delivery to the Cosplayer and connecting the shelter to the Chiral Network, Conan appears as a special NPC cameo.
Speaking with him rewards you with the Sea Otter Hood, a unique cosmetic item that helps Sam float more easily in water while adding one of the funniest outfits in the game.
To unlock the All-Terrain Skeleton in Death Stranding, you must complete Order No. 47 and deliver the High-Bounce Springs to the Roboticist during Episode 6. After connecting her facility to the Chiral Network, she will reward you with the blueprint for the All-Terrain Skeleton Level 1.
The Roboticist is located southeast of Mountain Knot City in the snowy mountains. Once unlocked, the All-Terrain Skeleton improves movement on rough terrain, increases stability in snow, and makes carrying heavy cargo much easier.
In Death Stranding, Sam can use the bathroom either inside a Private Room or while exploring the open world. Using the toilet in a Private Room helps create special equipment used against BTs, while peeing outdoors causes mushrooms to appear where Sam relieves himself.
To urinate outside, open the equipment menu, select Urinate, hold L2 to aim, and press R2. Just don't forget to zip up afterward.
The fastest way to earn more Likes in Death Stranding is by making successful deliveries, building useful structures, completing Premium Deliveries, and helping other players through the game's social strand system.
You can also gain Likes by delivering lost cargo, clearing MULE Camps, placing useful signs, and creating structures that other players regularly use. The more helpful you are, the more Likes you'll receive.
The most useful items to carry in Death Stranding are Ladders, Climbing Anchors, PCCs, Blood Bags, Hematic Grenades, a Bola Gun, and a spare pair of Boots. These tools help with traversal, combat, deliveries, and emergency situations.
As you unlock vehicles, carrying extra building materials is also highly recommended since they can be used to construct roads, bridges, generators, and other structures that make future deliveries much easier.
To build large structures in Death Stranding, place a foundation using a PCC and then contribute the required materials to complete construction. Large projects such as Bridges and roads often require hundreds or even thousands of resources before they become usable.
The fastest way to gather materials is through facility terminals, where you can claim stored resources, recycle materials, and increase available stock by completing deliveries and raising connection levels.

Trophy: Greatest of Great Deliverers
Obtain all trophies.
Type: Platinum
Tags: Grind
Unlock Details
Obtain all trophies.
Trophy: A Helping Hand
Issue your first supply request.
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Tags: Multiplayer
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by issuing your first supply request from the menu, which becomes available after reaching the Wind Farm in Episode 2 following Order #10. You do not need anyone to actually fulfill the request, so just submit one item and you are done, making this one of the quickest trophies you can grab once the feature unlocks.
Trophy: A Shout in the Dark
Send and receive a shout.
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Tags: Multiplayer
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by shouting and getting a response back. Just use the touch pad to call out while exploring, and eventually you will hear a reply, which feels surprisingly cool the first time it happens.
Trophy: Any Porter in a Storm
Trade with another porter.
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Tags: Multiplayer
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by successfully trading with an NPC porter found roaming the world. First build up enough Likes with porters, then drop a usable item like a weapon or equipment in front of them and pick up their item when they offer it, because the trade only counts if you accept their exchange.
Trophy: Building Bridges
Reach Bridge Link Grade 1.
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Tags: Multiplayer
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by reaching Bridge Link Grade 1, which happens after receiving a few Likes from other players. As long as you are playing online and interacting with structures, this will happen naturally without any effort.
Trophy: Giver of Gifts
Donate items to other players.
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Tags: Multiplayer
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by donating any item through a facility’s Share Locker. Just drop off a piece of equipment or weapon and it counts immediately, making this a quick and easy online-related trophy.
Trophy: Like and Be Liked
Give your first Like.
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Tags: Multiplayer
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by giving your first Like, which you can do by interacting with a structure, sign, or player object using the touch pad. This happens very early and naturally, so just tap anything you see and you will get it without even thinking about it.
Trophy: A Thirst for Knowledge
Restore your first memory chip.
Type: Bronze
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by restoring your first memory chip at any facility terminal. If you happen to find one while exploring, always pick it up because some are easy to miss early and grabbing them as you go saves you time later.
Trophy: Fount of Knowledge
Restore all memory chips.
Type: Bronze
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
You need to restore all memory chips, but many of them are locked behind story progress, emails, or max connection levels. It is best to leave this until after finishing the story and working toward five stars with all facilities, otherwise you will waste time searching for chips that have not unlocked yet. Check MULE and terrorist camps regularly since they often contain memory chips, and keep an eye out for player signs because they can point you directly to hidden ones and make this much less painful.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/XPsb5RCdsuE
Trophy: Best Beloved
Reach maximum connection level with all facilities.
Type: Silver
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to reach five stars with all 39 facilities and prepper shelters, making this one of the longest grinds in the game. The best approach is to first connect every location to the chiral network so you can use online structures, which makes future deliveries much faster and less frustrating. Focus on building efficient routes like zip lines and roads before fully committing to the grind because this saves a huge amount of time later. Mixing in Lost Cargo and high-value Standard Orders works best, and if you build a good network early, this trophy becomes far more manageable instead of a slow grind.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/LaZKTIYYAAM
Trophy: Birth of a Legend
Complete 10 premium deliveries in each category with a high evaluation.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to complete 10 unique Premium Deliveries in each of the four categories with a high evaluation rank. Even though this can be done on lower difficulty, it is much smarter to play on Hard so your progress also counts toward Growth of a Legend, saving you a huge amount of time later. Focus on larger and longer deliveries whenever possible because they give significantly more Likes and progress than short ones, even if they take longer. This sounds counterintuitive at first, but one big delivery is far more efficient than repeating small ones over and over, so always go for the highest reward routes to speed this up.
Trophy: Childminder
Reach maximum connection level with BB.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to reach the maximum connection level with BB, which builds slowly over time through interactions. The easiest way is to regularly soothe BB using the cufflink menu, but you can also gain progress by checking on BB in private rooms or successfully dealing with BT encounters. This one takes time, so just stay consistent and treat BB well during your journey, and it will eventually max out without needing to grind it directly.
Trophy: Deliveries Done
Complete 36 standard orders.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You will unlock this after completing 36 different Standard Orders, which become available after Order #9. This will likely come naturally while working toward maxing facility connections, so just keep mixing Standard Orders into your route instead of relying on Lost Cargo since that is much slower and less efficient.
Trophy: Great Deliverer
Reach Grade 60 in all delivery categories.
Type: Silver
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to reach Grade 60 in all delivery categories, including Bridge Link, making this one of the biggest grinds in the game. The key is to focus on high-value deliveries instead of quick ones, because longer and heavier orders give far more Likes and progress even if they take more time. Stick to major hubs like Lake Knot City, South Knot City, Mountain Knot City, and large distribution centers since they offer the best rewards. If you consistently choose bigger deliveries and combine this with your other grind trophies, this will come together naturally instead of feeling overwhelming.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/ChtVXk1jNNU
Trophy: Growth of a Legend
Complete 20 premium deliveries in each category with a top evaluation.
Type: Gold
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to complete 20 unique Premium Deliveries in each of the four categories on Hard difficulty with Legend of Legends rank. This is one of the biggest grinds in the game, so make sure you are always playing on Hard early to avoid doing everything twice. Always prioritize the heaviest and longest deliveries because they give far more Likes and progress than short ones, even if they seem slower at first. Focus your runs around high-yield locations like Lake Knot City, South Knot City, Mountain Knot City, and major distribution centers since these consistently offer the best orders and will make this grind much more manageable.
Trophy: Homo Faber
Fabricate all weapons and equipment.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to fabricate every weapon and piece of equipment at least once, which is best done after finishing the story and reaching five stars with all facilities. This ensures you have unlocked every blueprint, otherwise you will waste time trying to craft items that are not available yet. The easiest approach is to craft everything at a large facility with plenty of materials, then recycle the items afterward to recover most of your resources. It looks overwhelming at first, but once you have everything unlocked this becomes more of a checklist than a grind, so just work through it methodically and it will pop.

Trophy: Hooked on Delivering!?
Deliver 700 pieces of cargo.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to deliver 700 pieces of cargo, which sounds like a lot but happens naturally over time. Do not focus on this directly because it will unlock while working toward other grind trophies, especially when building connections and completing deliveries across the map.
Trophy: In Sam We Trust
Connect all facilities to the UCA.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to connect all 39 facilities and prepper shelters to the UCA network by raising their connection level high enough. This is not just about unlocking the chiral network, so make sure you keep delivering to each location until they are properly linked or this will not count. The easiest way to do this is by focusing on Standard Orders and Lost Cargo for each facility, and it will naturally overlap with other grind trophies, so treat this as a long-term goal rather than something to rush.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/ckhoxAvl08U
Trophy: Master Builder
Build every type of structure.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to build every type of structure at least once, including PCC structures, ladders, anchors, bridges, roads, and signs. It is best to wait until Episode 5 when you unlock the Zip-line so you can finish everything in one go instead of tracking missing pieces later. Make sure you use a PCC Level 2 to access all structure types, and do not forget smaller items like signs and ladders since those are easy to overlook and can be the reason this does not unlock.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/LfBiHXcPCxM
Trophy: Prominent Porter
Reach Grade 10 in a delivery category.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by reaching Grade 10 in any delivery category, which happens naturally as you complete orders. There is no need to focus on this at all, because just playing the game and taking on deliveries will get you there without trying.
Trophy: Pumped Porter
Deliver 3,000 kg of cargo.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to deliver a total of 3,000 kg of cargo, which will happen naturally as you work on other grind trophies. Do not focus on this at all because the weight adds up quickly just by playing normally and taking on larger deliveries.
Trophy: The Past Guides the Present
Read 100 interviews.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to read 100 interviews, which are unlocked through story progression and collecting memory chips. This pairs naturally with the memory chip grind, so as long as you keep checking your data menu, this will unlock without any extra effort.
Trophy: The People's Porter
Earn 2,400 total Likes.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to reach a total of 2,400 Likes, which comes naturally as you complete deliveries and interact with the world. Do not worry about farming this because it builds up quickly just by playing, especially if you take on extra orders and use online features.
Trophy: The Post Guides the Present
Read 100 mails.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to read 100 emails, which you earn through story progress and building connections with facilities. This will come naturally while going for other trophies, so just remember to open your mail regularly or you might be sitting on this without realizing it.
Trophy: The World's Most Popular Porter
Earn 50,000 total Likes.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to reach 50,000 total Likes, but this will unlock naturally while working on other grind trophies. Focus on efficient deliveries and building useful structures for other players, and the Likes will stack up faster than you expect without needing to go out of your way.
Trophy: Trail-Blazer
Upgrade all structures to maximum level.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
You need to upgrade every type of structure to level 3, including things like bridges, generators, postboxes, and zip-lines. The easiest way to do this is by upgrading existing player structures instead of building everything yourself, which saves a lot of materials and time. Focus on upgrading structures you actually use, especially zip-lines, because you will naturally interact with them often and can level them up along the way. Just remember that Auto-Pavers do not count, so do not waste resources there thinking it will help.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/q9WrFBPZk04
Trophy: Well-Traveled

Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details

Trophy: Catcher Crusher
Defeat a Catcher.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
You will unlock this during Order #16 when you defeat your first Catcher, which is a larger BT encounter. This is part of the story, so just focus on surviving the fight and you will get it naturally without needing to go out of your way.
Trophy: Pathfinder
Help another porter in a hostile area.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by clearing out a MULE or terrorist camp, either by knocking everyone out or eliminating them. Once the area is cleared, NPC porters will safely move through it, so this is a nice bonus for making routes easier while you are already dealing with hostile zones.
Trophy: Rest In Pieces
Cut a BT umbilical cord undetected.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
You will unlock this by cutting a BT’s umbilical cord without being detected using the cord cutter. Make sure enemies are not alerted before attempting this, because if you are spotted it will not count, so take it slow and approach carefully for an easy stealth kill.

Trophy: We're Whole Again
Complete Episode 5: Mama.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
You will unlock this after completing Order #46, Mama Delivery to Mountain Knot City. This is one of the more emotional deliveries in the game, so take it steady and keep your cargo safe because the journey itself is part of the experience here.
The early hours are all about learning how to walk, literally. Death Stranding throws you into rough terrain and expects you to figure things out, so take your time and get comfortable with balance, stamina, and route planning. The first few deliveries might feel slow, but that is the game teaching you how to survive.
Do not rush through this section because understanding movement is everything here. A good tip is to always scan ahead and plan your path before moving, since going straight is almost never the best route. It might feel like a walking simulator at first, but once it clicks, it really clicks.
This is where the game opens up and things start getting interesting. You will unlock vehicles, better equipment, and more ways to optimize your deliveries, which makes everything faster and more satisfying. Start focusing on building roads and using other players’ structures because this will save you a huge amount of time later.
You should also begin working on Standard Orders and Premium Deliveries here, but do not grind too hard yet. Just mix them into your routes naturally while progressing the story. A smart approach is to always carry extra cargo going in the same direction so every trip feels productive.
As you approach the final chapters, the game becomes more intense with tougher encounters and longer deliveries. Make sure you are stocked with gear and not rushing through objectives, because preparation makes everything smoother.
This is also a good time to start thinking about your long-term trophies like delivery ranks and connection levels. If something feels difficult, slow down and adjust your approach instead of forcing it, because efficiency matters more than speed here.
Once the story is finished, you will have full freedom to explore and clean up everything you missed. This is where you will finish connection levels, premium deliveries, and the remaining grind trophies, so do not worry if things are not complete yet.
Focus on building efficient routes like zip-lines and roads, because this turns long grinds into something much more manageable. If you ever feel stuck or unsure about the fastest way to finish something, just Ask Gami and get back to playing without wasting time.
The platinum is a grind, but it is a satisfying one. Stay consistent, take smart routes, and before you know it, you will be delivering your way to 100 percent completion.
