A Plague Tale: Innocence Trophy Roadmap

EARLY GAME

Welcome to A Plague Tale: Innocence! Get ready for an emotional journey through medieval France, where deadly soldiers are hunting you, rats are absolutely everywhere, and keeping your little brother alive is somehow your responsibility. Being an older sibling has never been more stressful.

Your first goal is simple: enjoy the story, learn the stealth mechanics, and survive all 16 chapters. Some sections require careful sneaking, while others will test your ability to think quickly and use the environment to your advantage. Take your time exploring, because useful crafting materials are scattered throughout the game.

Your biggest priority should be upgrading your pockets first. Increasing your carrying capacity allows you to store more crafting materials, which becomes especially important for later upgrades. After that, focus on fully upgrading either your Sling or Equipment rather than splitting resources between both. There aren't enough materials to comfortably complete both upgrade paths in a single playthrough, so planning ahead will save you some cleanup later.

MID GAME

As you progress through the chapters, you'll unlock new ammunition types, crafting options, and tools to help Amicia survive increasingly dangerous situations. Keep collecting materials whenever possible, but be mindful of how you spend them. Every upgrade counts, and wasting resources early can leave you short when you're trying to finish your chosen upgrade path.

You'll also encounter plenty of collectibles, including Flowers, Curiosities, and Gifts for the orphans. Grab anything you discover naturally, but don't worry about finding everything immediately. Chapter Select allows you to return for missed collectibles, and collectibles save as soon as you pick them up, even if you die or leave the chapter afterward.

Keep an eye out for Alchemist Carts and opportunities to complete miscellaneous trophies during certain chapters. Some require specific interactions or choices, such as playing hide-and-seek, helping characters, or discovering hidden locations. You'll eventually need to enter all five Alchemist Carts, so it's worth investigating them whenever you spot one.

LATE GAME

As you approach the final chapters, continue focusing on your chosen upgrade path. You'll need to fully upgrade both the Sling and Equipment for their respective trophies, but completing one during your initial playthrough is the most practical approach. Don't spread your materials too thin trying to finish everything simultaneously.

Make sure you've also been crafting ammunition throughout the story. The Alchemist trophy requires you to craft 100 ammunition, which should come naturally if you're regularly using Amicia's tools. If not, you can easily work on the remaining crafts during cleanup.

Finish the main story by completing Chapter 16, "Coronation." Along the way, you'll earn the individual story trophies for completing each chapter, followed by Knights! for finishing all 16. Enjoy the ending before worrying about everything you've missed. You've survived soldiers, rats, and some truly terrible family circumstances. A few leftover collectibles can wait.

TROPHY CLEANUP AND EXTRA TIPS

Once the story is complete, use Chapter Select to collect anything you've missed. You'll need all Flowers, Curiosities, and Gifts, along with all five Alchemist Carts. You can also revisit specific chapters for miscellaneous trophies such as More Practice, Feeding the Hungry, Found!, Savior, Tribute, The Hard Way, Merciful, Captain Sidekick, and The Blacksmith.

The good news is that collectibles are saved immediately when picked up. You don't need to finish the chapter afterward, making cleanup much quicker. Simply grab what you're missing and move on to the next location.

Your final challenge will likely be the upgrade trophies. If you fully upgraded your Sling during the story, replay from approximately Chapter 9 onward and concentrate on Equipment upgrades, or vice versa. Collect as many crafting materials as possible, prioritize your remaining upgrades, and avoid spending resources unnecessarily. If you still need the Alchemist trophy, use these replays to finish crafting 100 ammunition as well.

Once you've fully upgraded both paths, collected everything, completed the miscellaneous trophies, and finished the story, the Innocence Platinum will be yours. It's a manageable Platinum that rewards exploration and a little planning rather than punishing difficulty. Just remember the golden rule of A Plague Tale: keep your brother close, your sling ready, and absolutely do not pet the rats.
