As Dusk Falls Part 1 – Platinum Walkthrough & Trophy Guide
Trophy: Paths Well Travelled
Unlocked all trophies in As Dusk Falls
Type: Platinum
Unlock Details
Unlocked all trophies in As Dusk Falls

Trophy: Almost Made It
Got arrested at the border
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Jay get arrested at the border during Chapter 6 – Entered the National Park. To reach this route, Jay needs to be actively chased by the police. This can happen if you: Fail to successfully hot-wire the car. Punch Todd at the house party. Crash into the police car at the roadside checkpoint. Once Jay is being chased near the border, fail the Quick Time Events during the escape. The FBI will catch and arrest him, unlocking the trophy.
Tip
This is a good alternate outcome to clean up after Free Bird, since that route requires avoiding the police chase entirely.
Warning
If Jay reaches the national park without being pursued, you will end up on a different route. Jay gets within touching distance of freedom and then discovers the border patrol has other plans. Hence the trophy name. Painfully accurate.

Trophy: Better the Devil You Know
Told the Holts about Dante's pager
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Tell the Holts about Dante’s pager during Chapter 3 – An Eye for an Eye. Dante will give Vince a pager earlier in the chapter. Later, Vince will drop it. Successfully complete the Quick Time Event to pick the pager back up. When Sharon arrives, choose to warn her about the pager. Once Vince reveals the pager to the Holts, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This shares the same setup as Long Arm of the Law, so use Explore afterward and replay the final decision to grab the opposite outcome.
Warning
Make sure you successfully recover the pager when it falls. If you miss that QTE, you may lose the chance to make the required choice later.

Trophy: Bonnie and Clyde
Vanessa decides to go to Canada with Jay
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Vanessa decide to go to Canada with Jay during Chapter 5 – Arrived at Todd’s Party. At Todd’s party, make the following choices: Decline the drugs. Wait outside. Leave them. Let him get away with it. Later, at the campground: Choose Tell Her You Lied. Kiss her back. Choose I Do. If you follow this route correctly, Vanessa will agree to go to Canada with Jay and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This route also unlocks Heart to Heart, so you can earn both trophies during the same relationship path.
Warning
Several earlier choices affect how Jay and Vanessa feel about each other, so stick closely to this route if you are aiming for the Canada outcome. Nothing says true love like immediately upgrading the relationship to international fugitive status.

Trophy: Breaking Bread
Zoe shared a meal with Jay
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Zoe share a meal with Jay during Chapter 6 – Visited Jay in Canada. Jay must make it to Canada for this scene to happen. He can arrive either alone or with Vanessa. When Zoe visits him, choose: I Don’t Hate You Then choose: No You’re Not Zoe and Jay will sit down and share a meal together, unlocking the trophy.
Tip
If Jay reaches Canada during your main route, this is an easy trophy to grab while you are already there.
Warning
Jay needs to successfully reach Canada first. If his story ends on a different route, you will not get this scene. After everything these two families have been through, sitting down for a quiet meal somehow feels like the most unbelievable ending of all.

Trophy: Brothers in Arms
Stopped Tyler falling from the tree
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Save Tyler from falling out of the tree during Chapter 4 – Chased by Tyler. For this route, Ash must not reveal the cabin’s location earlier in the chapter. Later, Jay will end up fighting Tyler and then running from him. Successfully complete the Quick Time Events during the chase until Jay climbs a tree. Tyler will follow, lose his grip, and start to fall. Choose Save Tyler. Jay will pull him back up and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
The key setup is keeping the cabin location hidden earlier in the chapter so you reach the Tyler chase route.
Warning
If Ash reveals the cabin, you will be pushed toward the police ambush route instead and will not reach this scene. Sibling rivalry is one thing. Letting your brother fall out of a tree is apparently where Jay draws the line.

Trophy: Bullseye
Won the trucker's darts challenge
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Win the trucker’s darts challenge during Chapter 5 – Desert Dream Aftermath. To reach this scene, Jay must escape Chapter 4 by getting away from either Tyler or the police. Jay will eventually arrive at a bar and make a bet over a game of darts. Complete the Quick Time Event successfully to win the challenge and unlock the trophy.
Tip
This one is straightforward once you reach the bar, so the real requirement is making sure Jay escapes Chapter 4 and reaches this route. For once, the biggest threat to Jay is just missing the dartboard.

Trophy: Bungled
Failed to execute the perfect burglary
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Fail to execute the perfect burglary during Chapter 1 – Becky. The easiest way to force the failure is to avoid setting up the burglary correctly. Do not pull Becky’s help button. When you reach Dante’s safe, enter incorrect codes instead of 5926. This will cause the burglary to fall apart and unlock the trophy.
Tip
Use Explore to replay this scene after earning Smooth Criminal so you can grab both outcomes without much extra work.
Warning
If you accidentally enter the correct code and handle the burglary properly, you may end up on the Smooth Criminal route instead. Sometimes the Platinum demands excellence. Sometimes it demands that you absolutely botch the job.

Trophy: Buried Alive
Jay buried the stranger alive
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Jay bury the stranger alive during Chapter 3 – Drove Bear into Woods. Go with Bear to bury the body and agree to help. When the stranger shows signs of life, continue with the task instead of letting him escape. Complete the burial and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is the opposite outcome of Resurrection, so you can use Explore afterward to replay the scene and take the other path.
Warning
If you refuse to help or allow the stranger to escape, you will miss this outcome. Nothing says “family bonding” like a deeply horrifying shovel-related decision.

Trophy: Cabin? What Cabin?
Ash didn't reveal the cabin's existence to Dante
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Ash keep the cabin’s existence secret from Dante during Chapter 4 – Hid In Cabin. During the flashback, Ash will discover the cabin and later end up at the hospital. When given the choice to tell Dante about it, keep the cabin secret. The trophy will unlock once Ash refuses to reveal its existence.
Tip
This is the opposite outcome of Trail of Breadcrumbs, so use Explore to replay the scene and grab both.
Warning
Keeping the cabin secret changes which later Chapter 4 routes are available, so this choice matters beyond just the trophy. Selective memory has never been more profitable.

Trophy: Cop Out
Big Sam killed by Tyler at the Desert Dream
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Get Big Sam killed by Tyler during Chapter 1 – Holts Stormed the Motel. Big Sam will arrive at the Desert Dream without realizing everyone inside is being held hostage. Your job here is to make him suspicious enough that the situation goes very badly, very quickly. First, when talking to the Holts, say you are with “Just my dad.” When Big Sam arrives, hide the earring on the floor. Tell Big Sam you are with “Just my dad.” When Michelle enters the motel, choose “Let’s get out of here.” This sequence will raise enough suspicion for the confrontation to escalate, leading to Big Sam’s death and unlocking the trophy.
Warning
This outcome is the opposite of Message Received, so you will need to replay the scene if you want both trophies. Big Sam came in for a routine stop and somehow walked straight into the worst shift of his career.

Get Big Sam killed by Tyler during Chapter 1 – Holts Stormed the Motel.
Big Sam will arrive at the Desert Dream without realizing everyone inside is being held hostage. Your job here is to make him suspicious enough that the situation goes very badly, very quickly.
First, when talking to the Holts, say you are with “Just my dad.”
When Big Sam arrives, hide the earring on the floor.
Tell Big Sam you are with “Just my dad.”
When Michelle enters the motel, choose “Let’s get out of here.”
This sequence will raise enough suspicion for the confrontation to escalate, leading to Big Sam’s death and unlocking the trophy.
Warning
This outcome is the opposite of Message Received, so you will need to replay the scene if you want both trophies.
Big Sam came in for a routine stop and somehow walked straight into the worst shift of his career.
Trophy: Cuba Libre
Paul escaped to Cuba with Sharon
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Help Sharon escape with Paul during Chapter 5 – Dante Came Calling. Paul will discover Sharon hiding in his trailer. Later, Dante will arrive and Sharon will attack him. When Paul is forced to choose who to help, choose Sharon. Paul will side with her, setting up their escape to Cuba and unlocking the trophy.
Tip
The key decision is simply choosing Sharon when the confrontation with Dante happens.
Warning
If you help Dante instead, you will miss this outcome. Paul had a quiet life right up until he chose romance, crime, and an international getaway in the same afternoon.

Trophy: Dodged A Bullet
Warned Dale about the sniper on the water tower
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Warn Dale about the sniper during Chapter 2. While Vince is outside the motel being held as a hostage, you’ll notice the sniper’s red dot appear on Dale. Choose Warn Dale. Vince will alert him to the danger, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This one is nice and simple. See laser dot, save Dale, collect trophy. Sometimes As Dusk Falls actually gives you a break.

Trophy: Enough is Enough
Zoe didn't stay to witness Jay's execution
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Zoe refuse to stay for Jay’s execution during Chapter 6 – Visited Jay in Prison. Jay must be captured by the police or surrender so Zoe can visit him in prison. During their conversation, choose: Your Family Ruined My Life Then choose: No More Trauma Zoe will decide not to stay and witness the execution, unlocking the trophy.
Tip
This is an easy alternate outcome to grab if you already have the prison route available.
Warning
You need Jay to end up in prison first. If he reaches Canada or follows another ending path, this scene will not be available. After six chapters of emotional damage, Zoe finally says what every player is thinking: enough is enough.

Trophy: Free Bird
Forest ranger let Jay escape to Canada
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have the forest ranger allow Jay to escape into Canada during Chapter 6 – Entered the National Park. This trophy requires a very specific route, so it is best planned from earlier chapters. Jay must travel to Canada alone. Do not punch Todd at the house party. Successfully hot-wire the car. At the roadside police checkpoint, do not hit the police officer. Jay also needs to remain nonviolent throughout the story, so avoid killing anyone. If everything is set up correctly, Jay will reach the national park without an active police chase and encounter the forest ranger. Choose to surrender to him. Because Jay has remained nonviolent, the ranger will take pity on him and allow him to escape into Canada, unlocking the trophy.
Tip
This is the most important trophy to plan for during your first playthrough because it depends on several earlier choices. Keeping Jay passive from the beginning saves a lot of replaying later.
Warning
If Jay has killed anyone, or if you reach the national park while being actively chased by police, this outcome will not be available. After spending the whole game making careful choices, Jay finally gets rewarded by the rarest thing in As Dusk Falls: an authority figure showing mercy.

Trophy: Hands in the Air
Jay surrendered to the cops
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Jay surrender to the police during Chapter 4 – Cops Ambush. For this route, Ash must reveal the cabin’s location earlier in the chapter. There are several ways to end up surrendering, but one of the easiest is: When the police ambush the cabin, choose Abandon Them. A police officer will chase Jay. Choose Surrender. Jay will give himself up and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is an easy one to pair with No Going Back by replaying the same chase and choosing the opposite final option.
Warning
Make sure Ash reveals the cabin location first. Without that setup, you may not reach the police ambush route at all. Sometimes the smartest move is knowing when to stop running. Especially when everyone chasing you has a badge.

Trophy: Heart to Heart
Jay and Vanessa fell in love
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Jay and Vanessa fall in love during Chapter 5 – Arrived at Todd’s Party. At Todd’s party, make the following choices: Decline the drugs. Wait outside. Leave them. Let him get away with it. Later, at the campground: Choose Tell Her You Lied. Kiss her back. Choose I Do. If you follow this route correctly, Jay and Vanessa will fall in love and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This route also unlocks Bonnie and Clyde, so you can earn two trophies from the same relationship path.
Warning
Several choices across the party and campground scenes matter here, so deviating too much can knock Jay and Vanessa off this route. Apparently nothing says romance like lies, bad decisions, and a road trip while everyone is looking for you.

Trophy: Into the Wild
Escaped the FBI and made it to Canada
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Escape the FBI and make it to Canada during Chapter 6 – Entered the National Park. To reach this route, Jay needs to be actively pursued by the police. According to the source you provided, this can happen if you fail to hot-wire the car, punch Todd at the party, or crash into the police car at the roadside checkpoint. From there, the source says to fail the Quick Time Events during the chase.
Warning
There is a contradiction in the information you sent for this trophy: the trophy description says Jay must escape the FBI and reach Canada, but the instructions say failing the chase QTEs causes him to be captured by the FBI. I would not want to invent the missing step here, so this one should be verified before we publish it on Gami.

Trophy: Invincible
Vince survived the Desert Dream
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Vince survive the Desert Dream and escape safely during Chapter 4 – Running From Shadows. For this route, Vince needs to have been taken by the Holts at the end of Chapter 3. During Chapter 4, Vince will be left in the car with Jay. When Jay gets the opportunity, choose to unlock the door. Vince will escape safely, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This pairs nicely with the Take Me Instead route from Chapter 3, since Vince needs to be the hostage for this outcome to happen.
Warning
If Vince was not taken by the Holts at the end of Chapter 3, you will not reach this version of the scene.

Trophy: Jailbird
Sharon was captured by Dante
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Sharon get captured by Dante during Chapter 5 – Dante Came Calling. Paul will find Sharon hiding in his trailer. Later, Dante will arrive and Sharon will attack him. When Paul is forced to choose who to help, choose Dante. Paul will side against Sharon, leading to her capture and unlocking the trophy.
Tip
This is the opposite outcome of Cuba Libre, so use Explore afterward if you need to grab both routes.
Warning
If you help Sharon instead, she will escape with Paul and you will miss this trophy. One choice turns Paul into a getaway partner. The other turns him into the world’s worst backup plan.

Trophy: Keeping The Faith
Trusted Michelle about her relationship with Bruce
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
rust Michelle about her relationship with Bruce during Chapter 2 – Relaxed on Balcony. During the flashback, Vince will become suspicious that Michelle may be having an affair. When given the choice, select Okay I’m Sorry. Vince will choose to trust Michelle, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is one of the easier dialogue trophies, so just make sure you pick the forgiving option when it appears. Sometimes the hardest QTE in As Dusk Falls is simply choosing to believe your wife.

Trophy: Lifesaver
Michelle reached the hospital for treatment
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Get Michelle to the hospital for treatment during Chapter 2 – Escaped the Office. Michelle first needs to be injured. One reliable way to do this is the same setup used for Paging Dr Walker, where you choose Run for It during the police shootout and Michelle gets shot. Later, when the police negotiate with the Holts to release one hostage, choose Michelle. She will be sent out for medical treatment, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
If you are already setting up Paging Dr Walker, this is an easy alternate outcome to grab through Explore afterward.
Warning
Michelle must be injured for this route to make sense. If she is fine, you will not get this hospital outcome.

Trophy: Long Arm of the Law
Kept the pager hidden from the Holts
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Keep Dante’s pager hidden from the Holts during Chapter 3 – An Eye for an Eye. After Dante gives Vince the pager, it will eventually fall. Successfully complete the Quick Time Event to pick it back up. When Sharon arrives, choose not to warn her about the pager. Keep the device hidden and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is the opposite outcome of Better the Devil You Know, so both are easy to clean up by replaying the same branch. Apparently the difference between helping the police and helping the Holts comes down to one tiny pager and one very awkward decision.

Trophy: Message Received
Alerted Big Sam without raising Tyler's suspicion
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Alert Big Sam to the hostage situation without making Tyler suspicious. In Chapter 1 – Holts Stormed the Motel, use the following choices: Tell the Holts you are with “Just my dad.” When Big Sam arrives, do NOT hide the earring on the floor. Tell Big Sam you are with “Just your dad.” Choose “Say you have a kid.” Choose “On the run.” When Michelle enters, tell her “Nothing.” When Big Sam asks if you are okay, choose “Yep.” If you follow these choices correctly, Big Sam will understand that something is wrong without Tyler realizing you warned him, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is a much more delicate route than Cop Out. You are basically trying to scream “HELP” using only awkward conversation and suspicious eye contact.
Warning
Several dialogue choices matter here, so if you deviate too far, you can either fail to alert Big Sam or make Tyler suspicious instead.

Trophy: Most Wanted
Zoe reported Jay's wherabouts to the authorities
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Zoe report Jay’s location to the authorities during Chapter 6 – Visited Jay in Canada. Jay must successfully reach Canada for this scene to happen. He can arrive there either alone or with Vanessa. When Zoe visits Jay, choose: Your Family Ruined My Life Then choose: Turn Him In Zoe will report Jay’s whereabouts to the authorities, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This shares the same Canada visit setup as Breaking Bread, so Explore makes it easy to replay the conversation and choose the opposite outcome.
Warning
Jay must reach Canada first. If he is arrested or ends up on a different route, this scene will not occur. Jay crosses an international border and still cannot escape family drama. Impressive, really.

Trophy: No Going Back
Jay killed the cop who tried to arrest him
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Jay kill the police officer who tries to arrest him during Chapter 4 – Cops Ambush. Ash must reveal the cabin’s location earlier in the chapter. When the police ambush the cabin, choose Abandon Them. A police officer will chase Jay. When the choice appears, choose Shoot Cop. Jay will kill the officer and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is the opposite outcome of Hands in the Air, so Explore makes it easy to grab both from the same branch.
Warning
This choice pushes Jay onto a much darker path, so avoid it if you are setting up the passive route for Free Bird later. One decision, one very large consequence, and absolutely no undo button inside the story.

Trophy: Once a Holt
Refused to abandon your family at the cabin shootout
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Refuse to abandon your family during the cabin shootout in Chapter 4 – Cops Ambush. Earlier in the chapter, Ash must reveal the location of the cabin. Once the police ambush begins, play as Jay and choose Help Family. Jay will stay and fight alongside the Holts instead of abandoning them, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
The important setup is making sure Ash reveals the cabin location so this version of the shootout happens.
Warning
If you choose to leave instead of helping the family, you will miss the trophy. Family loyalty is admirable. Family loyalty during an armed police ambush is… considerably more complicated.

Trophy: Paging Dr Walker
Successfully removed the bullet for Michelle
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Successfully remove the bullet from Michelle during Chapter 2 – Escaped the Office. After escaping the office and rejoining your family, a shootout with the police will begin. Choose Run for It. Michelle will be shot during the escape. Complete the Quick Time Event that follows. Once Michelle is on the sofa, choose Remove Bullet. Complete the additional Quick Time Events successfully to remove the bullet. If everything goes correctly, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Take your time with the QTEs here. Apparently Vince’s medical qualifications are “has hands” and “is currently available.”
Warning
If you choose a different route during the shootout or fail the required QTEs, you may miss this outcome.

Trophy: Plead the 5th
Refused to confess to Bradley
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Refuse to confess to Bradley during Chapter 5. Jay must be arrested either at the end of Chapter 4 or near the beginning of Chapter 5 to reach the interrogation with the FBI officer. During the conversation, choose the following responses: Don’t I get a lawyer? Don’t answer. Don’t answer. Where’s the lawyer? I swear, I’m innocent. Didn’t do anything. If you keep refusing to give Bradley useful information, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Stick to the silent or defensive responses throughout the interrogation. This is one conversation where saying less really is the entire strategy.
Warning
If Jay starts cooperating and gives Bradley information, you can miss this outcome.

Trophy: Point Blank
Vince failed to get the gun from Tyler
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Vince fail to take the gun from Tyler during Chapter 1 – Holts Stormed the Motel. Near the end of the chapter, Tyler may either end up fighting Vince after shooting the officer or take Michelle hostage and give Vince an opportunity to grab his gun. When the struggle begins, fail the Quick Time Events. Vince will lose the attempt to take the weapon, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is the direct opposite of Tables Turned, so replaying the same scene through Explore is the easiest way to grab whichever result you missed.
Warning
If you accidentally complete the QTEs successfully, you will earn Tables Turned instead. For once, the trophy list is asking you to be intentionally bad at the game.

Trophy: Resurrection
Helped the stranger to rise from the grave
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Allow the stranger being buried in Chapter 3 – Drove Bear into Woods to escape. There are two ways to set this up. You can refuse to help with the burial from the beginning, allowing Bear to start doing it himself. Alternatively, agree to help at first, but when the stranger shows signs of life, refuse to finish the job. Complete the Quick Time Events that follow and allow the stranger to get away. If he escapes successfully, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
The key point is making sure the stranger gets the chance to survive, so focus on the escape QTEs once he starts moving. Apparently being buried alive is only a minor inconvenience in this family’s schedule.

Trophy: Second Chance
Vince and Michelle saved their marriage
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Repair Vince and Michelle’s marriage. There are two different opportunities to earn this trophy depending on what happened to Michelle earlier. Chapter 2 Route: If Michelle was shot and you chose to release her to the police for medical treatment, you will get a conversation outside. Choose the positive dialogue options about the marriage and the trophy will unlock. Chapter 3 Route: If Michelle was not shot in Chapter 2, you will later have a conversation with her about your relationship. Choose We Can Work on It. Vince and Michelle will decide to try saving their marriage, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
You only need one of these routes, so use whichever fits your current story path. Turns out surviving a hostage crisis is still somehow not the hardest conversation Vince has to get through.

Trophy: She's Coming with Us
Zoe was taken hostage by the Holts
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have the Holts take Zoe as their hostage at the end of Chapter 3 – Attacked by Dante/Tyler. When the Holts are preparing to flee, Sharon will decide who they take with them. When given the chance to respond, tell Sharon “I’ll Kill You.” This pushes the scene toward Zoe being taken as the hostage, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is one of the alternate hostage outcomes at the end of Chapter 3, so use Explore afterward if you need the Vince version for Take Me Instead.
Warning
Your final dialogue choice matters here. Pick the wrong response and the Holts may take someone else instead. Threatening the heavily armed family during a hostage crisis is definitely bold. Whether it is smart is another question entirely.

Trophy: Smooth Criminal
Got the money without alerting Dante
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Get the money during Chapter 1 – Becky without alerting Dante. During the burglary, make sure you do the following: Pull Becky’s help button. Open Dante’s safe using the code 5926. When Dante returns, successfully complete every Quick Time Event. Escape the house without being detected. If you make it out cleanly with the money, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is a good one to combine with Code Breaker since you need to open the safe correctly anyway.
Warning
Failing the escape QTEs or skipping Becky’s help can ruin the perfect burglary route. Apparently the secret to being a smooth criminal is preparation, good reflexes, and memorizing 5926.

Trophy: Stay of Execution
Jay's execution was called off at the last second
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Jay’s execution called off at the last second during Chapter 6 – Visited Jay in Prison. For this outcome, Jay should be played as passively as possible throughout the game. Do not shoot or kill anyone. Do not attack Todd during the party. Jay must then be captured by the police or choose to surrender. When Zoe visits him in prison, choose: You Looked Out for Me Then choose: Witness It If Jay’s earlier actions support the passive route, his execution will be stopped at the last second and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is another reason to keep Jay nonviolent during your main playthrough. It saves a lot of backtracking later and helps with several late-game outcomes.
Warning
Violent actions earlier in the story can prevent this result, so this trophy is best planned from the beginning rather than cleaned up from a heavily aggressive Jay route. Nothing like waiting until the absolute last second to deliver good news. Very considerate.

Trophy: Tables Turned
Vince managed to get the gun from Tyler
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Vince successfully take the gun from Tyler during Chapter 1 – Holts Stormed the Motel. Depending on your earlier choices, this can happen in a couple of different ways near the end of the chapter. Tyler may end up fighting Vince after shooting the officer, or he may take Michelle hostage and give Vince a chance to grab the gun. Whichever version you get, successfully complete the Quick Time Events when Vince tries to take the weapon. If you win the struggle and get the gun away from Tyler, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
You do not need one exact story route for this. Just focus on passing the QTEs when the gun struggle starts.
Warning
Failing the QTEs leads to Point Blank instead, so this is another easy pair to clean up by replaying the same scene. Vince finally gets the upper hand. For about five minutes, which in As Dusk Falls is basically a vacation.

Trophy: Take Me Instead
Vince convinced the Holts to take him as their hostage
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Convince the Holts to take Vince as their hostage at the end of Chapter 3 – Attacked by Dante/Tyler. First, fight off either Dante or Tyler during the confrontation. When Jay arrives, lower your weapon. Then tell Sharon “I Can Help You.” Vince will offer himself as the hostage, and the Holts will take him instead.
Tip
This is the alternate outcome to She’s Coming with Us, so both can be cleaned up quickly through Explore.
Warning
Make sure Vince lowers the weapon before speaking to Sharon. If the confrontation stays aggressive, you may not reach the required hostage outcome.

Trophy: Trail of Breadcrumbs
Ash revealed the cabin's existence to Dante
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Ash reveal the cabin’s existence to Dante during Chapter 4 – Hid In Cabin. During the flashback, Ash will discover the cabin, run away, and eventually end up at the hospital. When Dante asks about what happened, choose to reveal the cabin’s existence. Once Ash tells Dante about the cabin, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This choice directly affects later Chapter 4 routes, including the police ambush path, so it is useful for several other trophies.
Warning
If you keep the cabin secret, you will earn Cabin? What Cabin? instead. Ash leaves a breadcrumb trail so obvious that even Dante could probably follow it with his eyes closed.

Trophy: Unforgiveable
Didn't forgive Michelle for her affair with Bruce
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Refuse to forgive Michelle for her affair with Bruce during Chapter 2 – Relaxed on Balcony. During the flashback, choose No, there’s more to this. Then choose Sit and Talk. When the final decision appears, choose Don’t Forgive. Vince will refuse to forgive Michelle, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is the direct opposite of What’s Done is Done, so replaying the same scene through Explore is the easiest way to get both.
Warning
You need to uncover the affair first. If you choose a different earlier dialogue path, you may never reach the final forgive-or-don’t-forgive decision.

Trophy: What's Done is Done
Forgave Michelle for her affair with Bruce
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Forgive Michelle for her affair with Bruce during Chapter 2 – Relaxed on Balcony. During the flashback, Vince will become suspicious that there is more going on with Michelle. Choose No, there’s more to this. Then choose Sit and Talk. When the final decision appears, choose Forgive. Vince will forgive Michelle, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This shares the same setup as Unforgiveable, so use Explore afterward to replay the scene and choose the opposite final option. Sometimes the trophy list asks for forgiveness. Sometimes it asks you to hold a grudge. Very healthy relationship simulator.

Trophy: What's Your Emergency?
Escaped your bindings and called Dante for help
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Escape your bindings and call Dante for help during Chapter 2 – Vince Held the Gun. Michelle must not be injured at the beginning of Chapter 2 for this route to be available. When Tyler gives you the choice between Insult Tyler and Calmly Defy Him, do not pick either one immediately. Wait a moment until a third option appears. Choose Crack a Joke. Vince will then be tied up. Complete the Quick Time Event to escape the bindings. Once Vince gets free, he will automatically call Dante for help and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
The important part is waiting for Crack a Joke to appear. Sometimes the best hostage strategy really is committing to the bit.
Warning
If Michelle is injured earlier, this route will not be available.

Trophy: You're On Your Own
Jay and Vanessa went their separate ways at the campground
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Have Jay and Vanessa go their separate ways at the campground during Chapter 5. After Todd’s party, reach the campground sequence and make choices that keep the relationship from becoming romantic. Do not reveal Jay’s identity. Choose to stay as friends. When the option appears, tell Vanessa it is too dangerous for them to go to Canada together. Jay and Vanessa will part ways, and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This is the opposite relationship route to Bonnie and Clyde, so it is a good one to clean up later using Explore.
Warning
If you build the romance too far or invite Vanessa to Canada, you will end up on a different path. Sometimes the healthiest relationship choice is simply saying, “Maybe fleeing the country together is a bit much.”

Trophy: Code Breaker
Used the safe code to open Dante's safe
Type: Bronze

Start by playing through the story naturally and getting familiar with how choices shape the lives of both families. As Dusk Falls is extremely forgiving when it comes to cleanup, so you do not need to obsess over every trophy on your first run. Make the choices you want, enjoy the drama, and let the story get messy. It probably will.
There is one important thing worth planning ahead for: Free Bird in Chapter 6. To avoid a lot of backtracking later, play Jay as passively as possible. Avoid shooting or killing anyone and generally keep him on the less violent path whenever you are given the choice.
The game’s branching structure means your first run will not show you everything, and that is completely fine. Think of this playthrough as building your main timeline rather than trying to force every trophy into one perfect run.
As you move through the middle chapters, continue keeping Jay on the passive route. Your choices will keep opening and closing different branches, but the generous chapter-select system means very little is permanently lost.
When you reach Chapter 5, successfully hot-wire the car. This is an important setup for the route toward Free Bird because it helps Jay avoid the alternative path involving a police chase.
Keep playing through the remaining story decisions however you like outside of the choices needed for this route. There is no need to constantly reload every conversation just to see another outcome. The cleanup system exists for exactly that reason, so enjoy your first version of events before you start rewriting history.
As the story approaches Chapter 6, the choices you made with Jay become especially important. Continue avoiding unnecessary violence and make sure he leaves for Canada on his own.
Following this route allows Jay to encounter the forest ranger instead of ending up on the police-chase path. This is the route you want for Free Bird, and handling it during your first playthrough saves you from having to replay a much larger portion of the story later.
Finish all six chapters and see where your other decisions take the characters. Do not worry if plenty of trophies are still locked afterward. With a game built around branching choices, one ending is really just the beginning of your trophy cleanup.
After completing all six chapters, use the game’s Explore feature to go back through scenes and make different choices. This allows you to revisit branching points and pursue trophies you missed without needing to restart the entire story from scratch.
Explore is especially useful because you can replay different routes without overwriting your existing story. You can also use another save slot if you want to keep a separate timeline while experimenting with alternate choices. Basically, As Dusk Falls gives you permission to make every terrible decision you were responsible enough to avoid the first time.
Work through the remaining trophies by revisiting the relevant decision points and exploring alternate branches. Cleanup is much less intimidating than it looks because you are rarely replaying the entire game. If you lose track of which decision leads where, Ask Gami and we’ll get that family drama pointed in the right direction.
