CRISIS CORE FINAL FANTASY VII REUNION Trophy Roadmap

EARLY GAME

Welcome to SOLDIER, where oversized swords, questionable experiments, and corporate secrets are all part of the job. Your Platinum journey begins with Zack Fair's story, spanning a prologue and 10 chapters. Combat is fast-paced, so get comfortable with dodging, guarding, materia, and the Digital Mind Wave (DMW) system. Take time to explore between story missions, speak with NPCs, and complete available side missions. Unlike many RPGs, CRISIS CORE REUNION has no chapter select, and numerous trophies become permanently missable as the story advances.

The early chapters are packed with activities you'll want to complete immediately. In Chapter 1, defeat every enemy group inside Fort Tamblin for Hero of the Wutai War?. Chapter 2 introduces the Banora Treasures and Slicin' SOLDIER challenges, while Chapter 3 includes rescuing everyone during the Shinra Building assault and completing Hojo's Training Room simulations. Chapter 4 brings several minigames involving Aerith, along with Hojo's experiments. Complete these activities when they become available, because Zack might be a talented SOLDIER, but he hasn't quite mastered traveling backward through time to fix missed trophies.

Keep multiple manual saves throughout your adventure, especially before leaving major areas or beginning important story events. Start unlocking missions by speaking with NPCs in Midgar, and pay attention to fan clubs, mail senders, and optional conversations. Several mission chains and collectibles depend on interactions that can easily be overlooked. Following a chapter-by-chapter missables guide alongside your playthrough is strongly recommended if you want to earn the Platinum without starting over.

MID GAME

Chapters 5 through 7 are where careful planning really begins to pay off. Complete Shinra's Squat Champion and track down the Wutai spies before leaving Midgar in Chapter 5, then successfully infiltrate the mako excavation facility without being spotted. Chapter 6 introduces the Junon perimeter defense challenge, where you'll need to stop every enemy from reaching the gate. You'll also want to speak with Cissnei afterward to unlock an important fan club opportunity. Between battles, keep unlocking missions and gathering equipment that will make the tougher challenges easier.

Chapter 7 is the major point of no return for Midgar. Before leaving, finish every available Midgar side activity, collect the required flower wagon components, and construct all three flower wagon types for Midgar Full of Flowers. Complete Fan Club Aficionado and Fan Club Savior, secure any remaining missable mail senders, and unlock every mission chain tied to Midgar NPCs. Once you leave for Nibelheim, you won't be able to return to finish these activities during the same playthrough.

Before advancing, review your mission unlocks and unfinished trophies carefully. Completing all 300 missions is required for the Platinum, and missing even one NPC-triggered mission can ruin an otherwise perfect run. You don't need to finish every mission before leaving Midgar, but you must unlock the missable ones while their NPCs are accessible. Shinra may have questionable workplace policies, but apparently nobody thought to implement a convenient return-to-Midgar feature.

LATE GAME

Chapters 8 through 10 introduce the final major missables. In Nibelheim, begin the Seven Wonders sidequest and complete its first six mysteries during Chapter 8, including collecting the Phoenix Materia needed for Limit Break Collector and DMW Master. The seventh wonder becomes available in Chapter 9, so pay attention to the associated mail and collectible before leaving the area. Chapter 9 also includes Zack the Sniper, Waterfall Chaser, and the missable Research Dept. QMC+ shop found in a treasure chest in Gongaga.
During Chapter 10, explore the underground areas of Banora and complete Cage Opener before finishing the story. You'll eventually reach the final encounters, but don't rush into the ending without preparing your character and checking your remaining trophies. Keep a separate manual save near the final boss so you can return to unfinished missions, collectibles, and optional challenges without restarting the story. You've survived monsters, experimental superweapons, and Shinra management. Losing hours of progress to an overlooked save would be a particularly disappointing final boss.
For SOLDIER of Legend, the game must be completed on Hard difficulty. Fortunately, you don't need to play the entire story on Hard. You can play on Normal, change the difficulty to Hard before the final boss, and defeat the final encounter to satisfy the requirement. Consider finishing your toughest optional missions and strengthening Zack's equipment beforehand, since the final battle becomes considerably more demanding on Hard.

TROPHY CLEANUP AND EXTRA TIPS

The biggest Platinum challenges are completing all 300 missions, collecting every DMW image, achieving 100% DMW progress, unlocking every shop, obtaining mail from every required sender, and collecting the four Genji accessories. Most of this work can be completed near the end of Chapter 10 before the final boss, provided you've secured the missable prerequisites earlier. Mission rewards unlock valuable equipment and powerful materia, while materia fusion allows you to create devastating attacks and significantly improve Zack's stats. Don't overlook the optional Minerva battle in Mission 9-6-6, one of the toughest encounters in the game and required for Divine Rule Broken.

For difficult endgame encounters, focus on improving your HP, damage output, and defensive stats. Accessories that break the normal HP and damage limits are especially useful, while abilities such as Costly Punch can make powerful enemies much more manageable. The DMW trophies may require additional grinding to unlock every character memory, so consider working on them while farming missions and strengthening materia. Sometimes the greatest enemy in CRISIS CORE isn't a terrifying superboss. It's waiting for three little reels to finally cooperate.

The Platinum can be earned in one carefully planned playthrough, but there is no chapter select, and New Game+ does not preserve your completed mission progress. Always finish missable activities before advancing the story, maintain backup saves, and save your most demanding mission cleanup for when Zack is properly equipped. Once you've completed every mission, defeated Minerva, mastered the DMW, collected the remaining equipment, and finished the game on Hard, My Living Legacy will be yours. Embrace your dreams, protect your SOLDIER honor, and maybe take a well-earned break from squats.
