DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN Trophy Roadmap

EARLY GAME

Welcome to Detroit, where androids are becoming human and every decision seems determined to ruin someone's day. This Platinum requires at least two full playthroughs, plus some Chapter Select cleanup, because many trophies depend on conflicting choices. Your best approach is to complete a peaceful playthrough first, followed by a more aggressive run. Start collecting magazines immediately for BOOKWORM, as several only appear after specific story decisions. There are 46 numbered magazine articles to discover, and you'll need to read every required entry across your playthroughs.

During your first run, prioritize keeping everyone alive for SURVIVORS. As Connor, build a strong friendship with Hank, save him during The Nest, spare the Tracis, and refuse to shoot Chloe. These decisions also help with PARTNERS and ONE OF US. As Markus, favor peaceful actions, protect your companions, and maintain positive public opinion. As Kara, keep Alice and Luther safe, avoid unnecessary confrontations, and continue collecting magazines along their journey. Try to win every fight you encounter for UNDEFEATED, since successful quick-time events will also help keep your characters alive.

Chapter Select is useful for individual trophies, but there's an important catch: changing an earlier decision won't affect later chapters unless you replay the intervening chapters with saving enabled. You can replay isolated chapters without saving to earn certain trophies and collect magazines, but major story outcomes require continuous progression. Check your magazine collection in the Extras menu regularly, and read both articles whenever you find a magazine. Apparently, even during an android uprising, keeping up with current events is essential.

MID GAME

As the story develops, focus on the decisions that shape each character's ending. For Markus, complete the Stratford Tower broadcast without losing anyone for WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER, choose peaceful actions during Capitol Park for SEND A MESSAGE, and avoid attacking the police during Freedom March for STAND YOUR GROUND. Later, choosing a peaceful demonstration rather than a revolution will put you in position for MORAL VICTORY. Keep Simon, North, and Josh alive whenever danger arises, and maintain favorable public opinion to protect your chances of earning SURVIVORS.

Connor's decisions are equally important. Save Hank rather than chasing Rupert during The Nest, allow the Tracis to escape during The Eden Club, and spare Chloe during Meet Kamski. These choices strengthen Connor's relationship with Hank and increase his chances of becoming deviant. Make sure Connor gathers enough evidence to locate Jericho during Last Chance, Connor, then choose to become deviant during Crossroads. This prepares you for ONE OF US, AN ARMY OF ME, and MY TURN TO DECIDE. You can worry about making Hank absolutely miserable during your second playthrough. He'll have plenty of reasons to dislike you then.

For Kara, concentrate on keeping Alice and Luther alive while progressing toward Canada. Escape Zlatko's mansion, successfully handle the police visit during Midnight Train, and protect Luther during the attack on Jericho. When Kara and Alice are pursued by soldiers outside, choose Play Dead and Don't Move to avoid drawing attention. These decisions help preserve the group for HAPPY FAMILY and SAFE HARBOR. Continue checking each area for magazines, especially those tied to whether Kara was detected by police earlier in the story.

LATE GAME

Your peaceful playthrough should end with Markus leading a successful demonstration, Connor supporting the androids, and Kara reaching the Canadian border with Alice and Luther. During Battle for Detroit, keep public opinion supportive and choose peaceful options when confronting the soldiers. When Markus's group is cornered, choosing to sing or kiss North can convince the soldiers to stand down, earning MORAL VICTORY. At CyberLife Tower, protect Hank and successfully convert the androids for AN ARMY OF ME. If CyberLife attempts to take control of Connor during Markus's victory speech, locate the emergency exit mechanism in Amanda's snowy garden and use it to regain control for MY TURN TO DECIDE.

For Kara's ending, recover the bus tickets at the station and reach the Canadian border with Alice and Luther. If public opinion supports the androids, choose No Sacrifice at the checkpoint. This can earn SAFE HARBOR and HAPPY FAMILY while preserving the characters needed for SURVIVORS. Remember that SURVIVORS also requires Hank, Simon, North, Josh, and Jerry to remain alive, alongside the three playable characters, Alice, and Luther. Keep your important allies safe throughout the final chapters rather than relying on a last-minute rescue.

Your second playthrough should focus on the aggressive and conflicting trophies. Have Markus push Leo for DEFEND YOURSELF, choose destructive actions during Capitol Park for BURN THE PLACE, attack the police during Freedom March for CONFRONTATION, and pursue a successful revolution for LIBERATION. As Connor, choose harsher responses, kill the Tracis for RUTHLESS, shoot Chloe for PRIORITIES, and remain a machine during Crossroads for COMPLIANT. This is also the ideal run for I'LL BE BACK, which requires Connor to die and return at eight specific opportunities before the end of Night of the Soul. These deaths must occur along a continuous story route, so don't skip ahead using Chapter Select. Your mission is essentially to make every possible bad decision while ensuring CyberLife keeps sending a replacement Connor.

TROPHY CLEANUP AND EXTRA TIPS

After both main playthroughs, use Chapter Select to finish any remaining trophies. Many conflicting choices can be handled by replaying individual chapters without saving, including CATCH IT versus SAVE HANK, KINSHIP versus PRIORITIES, and DEFEND YOURSELF versus SELF-CONTROL. However, trophies requiring consequences across multiple chapters must be approached differently. Replay from the relevant decision point with saving enabled and continue through every intervening chapter until the required outcome occurs. For I'LL BE BACK, follow the complete sequence of Connor's eight required deaths, including the optional Interrogation encounter and the death during Last Chance, Connor. Missing one can invalidate the attempt, so plan this route carefully before starting.

BOOKWORM will likely require additional cleanup because some magazine articles are exclusive to particular decisions. Notable examples include Markus's response to Leo, Kara being detected or escaping the police, the violent or peaceful outcomes of Capitol Park and Freedom March, and Markus choosing revolution or demonstration near the ending. Use the numbered collection in Extras to identify missing entries, then revisit the necessary chapters or story routes. For THESE ARE OUR STORIES, spend a total of 20,000 bonus points in the Extras menu. These points are earned by discovering new flowchart branches, so exploring alternative choices naturally contributes toward the requirement.

If UNDEFEATED remains unfinished, focus on successfully completing every fight and avoiding outcomes where your character loses a confrontation. Switching to Casual difficulty can simplify the quick-time events without preventing trophies from unlocking. Finally, double-check any missing character-specific endings before committing to another lengthy replay. Once all 48 other trophies are earned, DETROIT MASTER will unlock automatically. Congratulations! You've experienced enough versions of Detroit's future to make even Connor question whether free will was such a good idea.
