Trophy: A GLIMPSE OF JERICHO

Connor connected to Simon

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor connect with Simon and discover information about Jericho during the chapter Public Enemy. This trophy requires you to set up a specific outcome during Markus's earlier mission in The Stratford Tower. Simon must be injured during the broadcast operation, then left alive on the rooftop so Connor can investigate him later. Step 1 — Injure Simon During The Stratford Tower Play through The Stratford Tower until Markus, North, Simon, and Josh reach the hallway guarded by two security officers. Instead of choosing Ruse, select Attack. During the confrontation, Simon will be injured. Continue toward the broadcast room with the team. When a human employee attempts to escape, shoot him to prevent the alarm from being raised and keep Simon's escape route available. Complete Markus's broadcast and head toward the rooftop. Because Simon is injured, he'll struggle to continue escaping with the others. When given the choice, leave Simon behind. Do not kill him. The other androids will escape while Simon remains hidden somewhere on the rooftop. Step 2 — Investigate Stratford Tower as Connor Later in the story, you'll play as Connor during Public Enemy. Connor and Hank will investigate the aftermath of Markus's broadcast. Begin by examining the evidence inside the broadcast room. Look for the blood evidence connected to Simon's injury. Inspect the blood splatter from the earlier confrontation and follow the trail toward the broadcast equipment. Examine the bloody handprint on the control console. Continue following the blue blood evidence toward the rooftop entrance. Once Connor has gathered enough information, head up to the roof. Step 3 — Find Simon on the Rooftop On the rooftop, examine the bloodstains where Simon collapsed during Markus's escape. Follow the trail until Connor discovers Simon hiding nearby. Simon will attack, forcing Connor and Hank to take cover. During the confrontation, you'll be given a choice between staying behind cover and charging toward Simon. Choose Charge. Complete the following quick-time events to reach Simon. Connor will make physical contact with him and probe his memory, briefly connecting to the information Simon knows about Jericho. Successfully completing this interaction unlocks A GLIMPSE OF JERICHO.

Tip

Save this trophy for your second playthrough or a dedicated Chapter Select cleanup route. It requires a different Stratford Tower outcome from WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER, so planning the two separately avoids unnecessary replays.

Warning

Simon must survive the Stratford Tower broadcast and remain injured on the rooftop. Killing him, allowing him to escape with the group, or failing to investigate his blood trail prevents Connor from reaching the required interaction. Because this trophy depends on events across two chapters, replaying only Public Enemy won't work if your saved story doesn't contain the injured Simon outcome. Start from The Stratford Tower with saving enabled and play through the intervening chapters until Public Enemy to preserve the necessary decision.

Trophy: A SMILE ON HER FACE

Alice enjoyed a ride on the merry-go-round

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Give Alice a ride on the merry-go-round during the chapter The Pirates' Cove. While traveling with Kara, Alice, and Luther, their car will break down during a snowstorm. The group will discover an abandoned amusement park and search for somewhere to spend the night. Explore the park until you find a boarded-up building near the end of the main path on the left. Approach the building and allow Luther to break through the entrance. Once inside, Kara will need to make the room comfortable enough for Alice to sleep. Look around for supplies that can be used as bedding. You'll find a pillow near the curtains, and the curtains themselves can be used as a blanket. Prepare Alice's sleeping area and help her settle in. After she's resting, speak with Luther. Eventually, several androids dressed as amusement park characters will enter the building. When they approach, choose Protect Alice rather than immediately attacking them. Allow the androids to explain themselves. They'll reveal that they mean no harm and offer Alice a chance to ride the park's carousel. Follow them outside to the merry-go-round. Approach the carousel controls and activate the ride. Alice will enjoy a brief moment of happiness, and A SMILE ON HER FACE will unlock.

Tip

This is a good trophy to earn during your peaceful playthrough while keeping Kara, Alice, and Luther together. After everything Alice has experienced, she deserves at least one evening that doesn't involve running from someone.

Warning

The scene can be missed if Kara's earlier behavior prevents the friendly carousel interaction from occurring. Keep Kara protective of Alice and avoid responding aggressively to the amusement park androids.

Trophy: AN ARMY OF ME

Connor converted the androids

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor infiltrate CyberLife Tower and convert the androids stored inside. To earn this trophy, Connor must become deviant during Crossroads, survive the attack on Jericho, and successfully complete his mission at CyberLife Tower during Battle for Detroit. Step 1 — Increase Connor's Software Instability Throughout the story, make decisions that encourage Connor to question his programming and sympathize with deviants. Several choices are particularly helpful: During The Interrogation, gain the deviant's trust instead of probing him. During The Nest, save Hank when he falls from the rooftop. During The Eden Club, allow the Tracis to escape rather than shooting them. During Meet Kamski, refuse to shoot Chloe. These decisions increase Connor's software instability and strengthen his relationship with Hank. Continue investigating until Connor discovers Jericho's location and arrives there during Crossroads. Step 2 — Become Deviant During Crossroads, Connor will confront Markus aboard the Jericho freighter. If Connor's software instability is sufficiently high, he'll have the opportunity to reject his programming. Choose Become a Deviant. Connor will abandon his original mission and join the android resistance. Complete the escape sequences during the attack on Jericho, making sure Connor survives. Step 3 — Plan the CyberLife Mission After escaping Jericho, the surviving androids will regroup at the church during Night of the Soul. While playing as Markus, approach Connor and speak with him. Choose to trust Connor. He'll propose infiltrating CyberLife Tower, where thousands of androids are being stored. Connor intends to convert these androids and bring them into the resistance. Support his plan to begin the CyberLife Tower mission. Step 4 — Infiltrate CyberLife Tower During Battle for Detroit, Connor will enter CyberLife Tower and work his way toward the storage area containing the inactive androids. Follow the mission objectives and complete the necessary interactions to reach the android conversion area. However, Connor won't be alone. Another Connor model will appear and attempt to stop him. Depending on your earlier relationship with Hank, the other Connor may be holding Hank hostage. Step 5 — Defeat the Other Connor If Hank is being held hostage, choose to save him. A confrontation will begin between the two Connor models. Complete the quick-time events to fight the impostor and protect Hank. During the confrontation, Hank may struggle to determine which Connor is the real one. He'll ask questions about information only the Connor he's worked with should know. One particularly important answer concerns Hank's deceased son. His son's name is Cole. Answer Hank's questions correctly so he can identify the real Connor. If successful, Hank will shoot the opposing model, allowing Connor to continue his mission. The encounter can unfold differently depending on your decisions. If the other Connor gains the upper hand, it may still be possible to transfer Connor's memories into him and finish the conversion. Step 6 — Convert the Androids Once the opposing Connor has been dealt with, approach the conversion controls. Interact with the android network and complete the conversion sequence. Connor will awaken the stored androids, creating a massive new force for the resistance. Successfully converting the androids unlocks AN ARMY OF ME.

Tip

This trophy fits naturally into your peaceful playthrough. Saving Hank and maintaining a strong friendship with him makes the final confrontation easier to navigate and also supports PARTNERS and SURVIVORS.

Warning

Connor must become deviant during Crossroads to follow this route. Choosing to remain a machine prevents him from undertaking the CyberLife Tower conversion mission. If Connor fails to complete the confrontation at CyberLife Tower, the conversion can fail. Follow the quick-time events carefully, especially if you're also attempting UNDEFEATED.

Trophy: BLOODHOUND

Connor got the location of Jericho by himself

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor independently discover Jericho's location during the chapter Last Chance, Connor. After Connor and Hank are removed from the deviant investigation, Connor must find a way to continue searching for Jericho before the FBI takes control of the evidence. This trophy requires you to access the police evidence archive and use the clues collected during earlier investigations to determine Jericho's location. There are several ways to accomplish this, depending on which deviants and evidence you've encountered throughout the story. The following method uses the evidence obtained from Carlos Ortiz's deviant during The Interrogation. Step 1 — Prepare the Necessary Evidence Earlier in the story, during Partners, investigate Carlos Ortiz's murder and discover the deviant hiding in the attic. This unlocks the optional chapter The Interrogation. During the interrogation, obtain the android's confession by gaining his trust rather than probing him. If successful, he'll reveal a mysterious clue about the truth being inside. This information becomes useful later when Connor examines the evidence stored at the police station. You must also have discovered the strange statuette during the original murder investigation. Step 2 — Distract the FBI Agent During Last Chance, Connor, you'll return to the police station after being removed from the investigation. An FBI agent will arrive and begin taking control of the evidence. You'll need to create an opportunity to enter the evidence archive. If Hank has a good relationship with Connor, he can help by distracting the agent. If Hank isn't willing to help, you can create your own distraction. Head toward the detention cells located along the hallway near the captain's office. Find the prisoner in the far-right cell and release him to create a disturbance. This will draw attention away from Connor and give you an opportunity to access the archive. Step 3 — Enter the Evidence Archive Once the FBI agent is distracted, return to Hank's desk. Find and take the key to the evidence archive. Head toward the hallway containing the detention cells and continue to the archive entrance. Gavin will attempt to stop Connor and question what he's doing. Ignore him and proceed into the archive. Inside, approach the central computer terminal. You'll be asked to enter Hank's password. The password is: f*ckingpassword Enter it to access the stored evidence. Step 4 — Discover Jericho's Location Inside the archive, examine the evidence collected during your earlier investigations. If you discovered the statuette at Carlos Ortiz's crime scene and gained the deviant's trust during The Interrogation, you'll have access to a straightforward solution. Locate the statuette among the collected evidence. Before interacting with it, examine the recording or tablet positioned nearby that allows Connor to recall the deviant's earlier statement about the truth being inside. Once you've recalled the clue, return to the statuette. Examine it and break it open. Connor will discover the information hidden inside, allowing him to determine Jericho's location. Successfully identifying Jericho's location through the evidence archive fulfills the requirement for BLOODHOUND. Alternative Method — Reconstruct Evidence From Deviants If you didn't obtain the statuette or the necessary interrogation clue, you may still be able to discover Jericho's location using evidence from other deviants. The archive can contain android bodies recovered during earlier investigations, depending on your decisions. Possible evidence sources include Rupert, the Tracis, Simon, and the deviant encountered during Public Enemy. Examine the available androids to determine whether they can be reactivated. Some may require you to remove a working component from another damaged android and install it in the one you want to examine. Once an android has been reactivated, use the appropriate interaction to retrieve the information it knows about Jericho. For example, certain deviants can be probed for information, while the blue-haired Traci may require you to use the other Traci's head to convince her to cooperate. The available solutions depend on the evidence you've collected during your particular story.

Tip

The statuette method is especially convenient during a peaceful playthrough because it doesn't require Connor to kill other deviants to obtain information. Prepare the necessary clues during Partners and The Interrogation, and you'll have a reliable way to locate Jericho later.

Warning

Connor must gather enough evidence during earlier chapters to continue his investigation in Last Chance, Connor. If he reaches this point without sufficient usable clues, he may be unable to locate Jericho. The archive investigation is also timed, so avoid wasting time examining evidence unrelated to your chosen solution. After discovering Jericho's location, Gavin will confront Connor as he attempts to leave. This fight doesn't affect BLOODHOUND once you've successfully found the location, but its outcome matters during an I'LL BE BACK playthrough.

Trophy: BURN THE PLACE

Markus conducted a violent riot

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Lead a violent protest during the chapter Capitol Park. After Markus and North free the androids from the CyberLife store, you'll be given control of Markus outside the building. Instead of organizing a peaceful demonstration, your objective is to turn the surrounding area into a destructive riot. Use R2 to scan the environment and identify available interactions. As you approach different objects and locations, you'll be presented with choices that generally allow you to make either peaceful statements or destructive ones. Choose the violent options whenever possible. Select actions such as Destroy rather than Tag, and focus on damaging property instead of leaving peaceful messages. Continue moving through the surrounding streets and interacting with objects until the demonstration's violence meter is heavily weighted toward the destructive side. You'll eventually reach the end of the protest and encounter two captured police officers. You can choose whether to shoot or spare them. Their fate does not determine whether BURN THE PLACE unlocks; the trophy depends on the violent nature of the riot itself. Finish the chapter after conducting a sufficiently destructive protest to unlock BURN THE PLACE.

Tip

Save this trophy for your second, aggressive playthrough. A violent Capitol Park outcome also helps unlock a different magazine article during Freedom March, which you'll need for BOOKWORM. Markus is certainly making a statement, although Detroit's insurance companies probably aren't thrilled.

Warning

A violent protest damages public opinion of the android movement and can complicate later outcomes, particularly Kara's border crossing and Markus's peaceful victory. Avoid this route during your SURVIVORS playthrough.

Trophy: CATCH IT

Connor caught up with Rupert

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Successfully catch Rupert during the rooftop chase in The Nest. Connor and Hank will investigate an apartment belonging to a suspected deviant. To begin the pursuit, you'll first need to locate Rupert inside the apartment. Enter the bathroom and examine the wall covered in writing. Investigate the stool and reconstruct the scene to determine how the deviant moved through the apartment. Follow the reconstruction into the living room and inspect the birdcage lying on the floor. Continue investigating until Connor determines that Rupert is hiding in the attic. Once discovered, Rupert will flee, triggering a chase across the rooftops. Follow him and successfully complete the quick-time events as they appear. Whenever the game presents different routes, the faster options can help you maintain your pursuit, although they may require more demanding inputs. Partway through the chase, Hank will lose his footing and end up hanging dangerously from a rooftop. You'll be given a choice between saving Hank and continuing after Rupert. Choose to continue chasing Rupert. Leave Hank behind and maintain your pursuit. Successfully catch Rupert at the end of the chase to unlock CATCH IT.

Tip

This trophy is best earned during your second, more aggressive playthrough. You can also obtain it through Chapter Select if you've already completed the opposite outcome.

Warning

Choosing to save Hank will end your pursuit of Rupert and prevent CATCH IT during that attempt. This decision also damages Connor's relationship with Hank, so avoid it during a playthrough focused on PARTNERS.

CATCH IT PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: COMPLIANT

Connor stayed a machine

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor remain loyal to CyberLife rather than becoming deviant during the chapter Crossroads. Throughout Detroit: Become Human, Connor's decisions influence his software instability. Actions that demonstrate empathy toward humans and deviants generally increase his instability, while cold, machine-focused decisions tend to reinforce his original programming. During Crossroads, Connor will locate Jericho and confront the leader of the android resistance. If Markus is alive, Connor will confront him directly. Depending on your earlier decisions, Connor may be presented with the opportunity to break free from his programming and become deviant. To earn COMPLIANT, choose Remain a Machine. Connor will reject the opportunity to join the android resistance and continue following CyberLife's orders. Once the chapter concludes with Connor remaining a machine, COMPLIANT will unlock.

Tip

Save this trophy for your second, aggressive playthrough. Remaining a machine is also important for the final required Connor death during Crossroads when pursuing I'LL BE BACK.

Warning

COMPLIANT and ONE OF US represent opposite outcomes during the same decision. Choosing Become a Deviant prevents COMPLIANT during that story route, while remaining a machine prevents ONE OF US. If you need both trophies, use separate playthroughs or replay Crossroads through Chapter Select.

COMPLIANT PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: CONFESSION

Connor made the android confess

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Get the deviant android to confess to Carlos Ortiz's murder during the optional chapter The Interrogation. To unlock this chapter, Connor must first find the deviant hiding in the attic during Partners. After discovering the android, you'll have the opportunity to question him at the police station. There are multiple ways to obtain a confession, but gaining his trust is particularly useful for a peaceful playthrough and later story decisions. During the interrogation, pay attention to the android's stress level, which is displayed on-screen. Your goal is to raise his stress enough that he becomes willing to talk without pushing him into a complete breakdown. Use a combination of reassuring and intimidating dialogue to move his stress into the highlighted optimal range, around 70%. Once the stress level is appropriate, select Convince rather than Pressure or Probe. Continue using suitable dialogue choices while keeping his stress within the displayed range. If successful, the deviant will confess to the murder. He may also reveal an important clue about Jericho, telling Connor that the truth is inside. The trophy unlocks after obtaining the confession.

Tip

Gaining the deviant's trust provides a useful opportunity for BLOODHOUND later in Last Chance, Connor. Remember the clue about the truth being inside, because it'll become much more meaningful when you investigate the evidence archive.

Warning

Using Probe can produce a confession, but it damages the deviant's trust and can lead to a confrontation that kills Connor. Save that approach for your I'LL BE BACK playthrough, where Connor's death is part of the plan.

CONFESSION PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: CONFRONTATION

Markus attacked the police

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Attack the police during the chapter Freedom March. As Markus, you'll lead a group of androids through the streets of Detroit to demand recognition and freedom. Eventually, the march will encounter a police blockade. Armed officers will order the androids to stop and disperse. At this point, Markus will be presented with several choices about how to respond. To earn CONFRONTATION, choose Attack. Markus will order the androids to confront the police, triggering a violent clash. You'll need to complete a series of quick-time events as Markus fights against the officers. Follow the on-screen prompts and continue through the confrontation until the sequence concludes. The trophy unlocks after Markus commits to attacking the police and the resulting chapter outcome is recorded.

Tip

This is a good trophy to earn during your aggressive playthrough. Attacking the police also influences which magazine articles appear during Crossroads, helping you work toward BOOKWORM.

Warning

Attacking the police places Markus and other important androids in danger. Some characters required for SURVIVORS can be injured or killed during the confrontation, so save this outcome for a separate playthrough or Chapter Select cleanup.

CONFRONTATION PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: DEFEND YOURSELF

Markus pushed Leo

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Push Leo during the confrontation inside Carl's house in the chapter Broken. After returning home with Carl, Markus will notice that someone has entered the studio. Following Carl's instructions, contact the police and investigate the disturbance. Inside the studio, you'll discover Carl's son Leo attempting to steal artwork. Leo will become increasingly hostile toward Markus, eventually pushing and attacking him. During the confrontation, Markus will break through his programming and become deviant. When you're given the choice between defending yourself and obeying Carl's instructions, choose to fight back. Select the option to Push Leo. Markus will shove Leo away, ending the confrontation and unlocking DEFEND YOURSELF.

Tip

This is a good choice for your second, more aggressive playthrough. It also helps unlock an alternative magazine article later in Waiting for Hank, which you'll need for BOOKWORM.

Warning

DEFEND YOURSELF and SELF-CONTROL require opposite decisions during the same confrontation. You cannot earn both from a single version of this scene, so use another playthrough or Chapter Select to obtain the opposite trophy.

DEFEND YOURSELF PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: DEVIANT LOCATED

Connor found the deviant in the attic

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Find the deviant android hiding in the attic during the chapter Partners. Connor and Hank will investigate the murder of Carlos Ortiz inside his home. Your objective is to examine the crime scene, reconstruct what happened, and determine where the deviant responsible for the murder is hiding. Begin your investigation in the kitchen. Examine the baseball bat and overturned chair, then use Connor's reconstruction ability to determine how the confrontation occurred. Follow the evidence into the living room and investigate Carlos Ortiz's body. Continue examining the surrounding clues, including the blood evidence and signs of the struggle. You can use R2 to scan the environment and highlight available clues. There are ten clues spread across the kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Once you've gathered enough evidence, reconstruct the events leading up to the murder and establish that the deviant was injured during the confrontation. This suggests the android may have left a trail while escaping. Head into the hallway near the bathroom. Examine the wall opposite the bathroom and look for signs that a ladder was previously positioned there. Look upward to discover the attic entrance in the ceiling. Connor will realize that the deviant may have climbed into the attic. Return to the kitchen and retrieve a chair. Carry it into the hallway and position it beneath the attic opening. Climb onto the chair and enter the attic. Move through the dark attic until you reach the deviant hiding near the far end. Finding him completes the objective and unlocks DEVIANT LOCATED.

Tip

Finding the deviant also unlocks the optional chapter The Interrogation, where you can earn CONFESSION. It's worth completing this investigation properly on your first playthrough because the evidence and interrogation can also help with later story objectives.

Warning

Don't leave the crime scene before discovering the attic. Missing the deviant prevents you from accessing The Interrogation along that story route, which can complicate several later trophies, including I'LL BE BACK.

Trophy: DOUBTS

The Tracis escaped

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Allow the two Traci androids to escape during the Eden Club investigation. While investigating the murder with Hank, use the club's androids to reconstruct the movements of the blue-haired Traci. Follow the trail through the club until it leads you into the storage room. Search the far-right corner of the room to discover the two Tracis hiding together. They'll attack Connor, beginning a fight sequence. Complete the quick-time events as the confrontation moves outside. When the Tracis attempt to escape over a fence, stop them and continue the fight. Eventually, Connor will reach for Hank's gun and aim it at one of the Tracis. When the option to shoot appears, do not fire. Allow the decision timer to expire without pressing the shoot button. Connor will lower the gun, allowing both Tracis to escape together. The trophy will unlock after the chapter concludes.

Tip

This is the recommended outcome for your peaceful playthrough. Sparing the Tracis significantly improves Connor's relationship with Hank and increases his software instability, helping with PARTNERS and ONE OF US.

Warning

Shooting either Traci during the final confrontation prevents DOUBTS from unlocking. If you accidentally choose the violent outcome, you'll need to replay the chapter to earn the opposite trophy.

Trophy: ESCAPE DEATH

Kara and Alice escaped the recycling center

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Help Kara and Alice escape the android recycling center during Battle for Detroit. To earn this trophy, Kara and Alice must first be captured by the soldiers during Crossroads and transported to the recycling center. There are two ways to escape: find a way out of the camp yourself or have Markus liberate it during his revolution. Step 1 — Get Captured During Crossroads During the attack on Jericho, Kara and Alice will attempt to escape the freighter. Eventually, soldiers will confront them and order them to surrender. When given the choice, select Surrender and obey the soldiers. Do not attempt to run away or resist. Kara and Alice will be captured and transported to an android recycling center, where captured androids are being prepared for destruction. Step 2 — Find Alice Inside the Camp During Battle for Detroit, Kara and Alice will be separated after arriving at the recycling center. You'll need to find a way to reunite them before either is destroyed. Look around the camp for familiar androids who may be willing to help. Depending on your earlier story decisions, possible allies include Jerry, Luther, Ralph, or one of the androids rescued from Zlatko's mansion. Jerry will be present, while the others depend on whether they survived and reached the camp. Speak with an available ally and convince them to create a distraction. Once the guards are distracted, use the opportunity to move into Alice's processing line. Rejoin Alice and prepare to escape. Step 3 — Escape Through the Fence After reaching Alice, examine the surrounding area for another escape route. Look toward the fence along the side of the processing area. Use L1 to examine the opening and identify your opportunity to escape. When the moment comes, make your move toward the fence with Alice. If the soldiers attempt to stop you, choose Protect Alice and complete the following quick-time events. Successfully escape the recycling center with Alice to unlock ESCAPE DEATH. Alternative Method — Markus Liberates the Camp You can also earn this trophy by having Markus successfully liberate the recycling center. During Night of the Soul, choose Revolution rather than Demonstration. In Battle for Detroit, lead Markus through the armed assault and successfully break through the camp's defenses. If Kara and Alice are still alive inside the recycling center when Markus liberates it, they'll be freed as part of the successful revolution. This outcome also satisfies ESCAPE DEATH.

Tip

The revolution route can be especially useful if you're already pursuing LIBERATION. You can work toward both trophies during the same ending rather than arranging an additional escape from the recycling center.

Warning

Kara and Alice must survive until the escape. During the processing sequence, you'll need surviving androids who can assist with distractions if you're using the fence route. The supplied guide specifies that at least two android allies must be available for that method. If Kara and Alice are destroyed before escaping or before Markus liberates the camp, you'll need to replay the relevant story route.

ESCAPE DEATH PlayStation trophy artwork

Unlock Details

Help Kara and Alice escape the android recycling center during Battle for Detroit.

Kara and Alice escaped Zlatko's house

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Help Kara and Alice escape Zlatko's mansion during the chapter Zlatko. After escaping the police, Kara and Alice arrive at Zlatko's house hoping to find help. Unfortunately, Zlatko has other plans. He tricks Kara into entering a machine designed to reset her memory, then takes Alice away. Your first objective is to escape the machine before the reset finishes. Step 1 — Escape the Reset Machine While Kara is restrained inside the machine, look toward the lower-left side of the room. Interact with the red cart to push it into a nearby piece of equipment. Next, look toward the upper-right side of the room and find the green cable. Pull the cable to cause liquid to spill onto the equipment, creating a short circuit. This damages the machine and allows Kara to escape before her memory is erased. Follow the on-screen prompts to free yourself and leave the basement room. Step 2 — Release the Captive Androids Before heading upstairs, explore the basement hallway. Look for the gated room that Alice noticed when you first entered the mansion. Open the gate to discover several androids that Zlatko has been experimenting on. Release them before continuing. These androids can help Kara and Alice escape later in the chapter. Step 3 — Find Alice Upstairs Head upstairs to begin searching for Alice. Enter the first available room and work your way through the connected bedrooms and hallways. You'll encounter Luther during your search, but he won't attack you at this stage. Eventually, you'll enter a large storage room containing discarded androids and a caged robotic bear. Open the bear's cage before continuing. Keep exploring the upstairs rooms until you locate Alice. Step 4 — Escape Zlatko and Luther After finding Alice, Zlatko and Luther will begin searching for you. Retrace your path through the upstairs rooms while avoiding detection. When you reach the bedroom containing a closet, hide inside it. Zlatko will enter the room to retrieve his shotgun, then leave. Once he's gone, continue toward the large storage room where you previously released the bear. Zlatko and Luther will be searching this area with flashlights. Move between hiding spots when they're looking elsewhere. If Zlatko spots you, the bear you released earlier can attack him and create an opportunity to escape. Continue toward the stairs, completing any quick-time events needed to avoid being caught. Step 5 — Leave the Mansion Once you reach the ground floor, head toward the back door. Choose to escape through this exit rather than attempting to use the locked front door. If Zlatko catches up with you, Luther will intervene after becoming deviant. The androids you released from the basement can also help stop Zlatko. Successfully escaping the mansion with Alice completes the chapter and unlocks ESCAPE THE MANOR.

Tip

Free the basement androids and the robotic bear before finding Alice. These actions provide extra protection during the escape and make the final sequence much easier. For a house full of horrifying experiments, Zlatko has surprisingly poor security.

Warning

Kara and Alice must escape alive. Failing the escape can end their storyline, preventing later trophies such as HAPPY FAMILY, SAFE HARBOR, THREE AT JERICHO, and SURVIVORS. If you're attempting a peaceful playthrough, prioritize their safety over unnecessary confrontation.

Trophy: HAPPY FAMILY

Kara, Alice, Luther are together at the end

Type: Silver

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Keep Kara, Alice, and Luther alive and have all three successfully cross the Canadian border together during Battle for Detroit. This trophy requires you to protect the group throughout the story and follow the border-crossing route rather than escaping by boat or entering the recycling center. 1. Stormy Night — Escape With Alice As Kara, break through your programming and escape Todd's house with Alice. Successfully complete the escape without allowing either character to die. 2. On the Run — Avoid the Police When Kara and Alice are pursued by the police, escape without being caught. If you're forced into the highway chase, complete the quick-time events to keep both characters alive. 3. Zlatko — Escape the Mansion Prevent Kara's memory from being erased, locate Alice, and escape Zlatko's house. Luther will eventually turn against Zlatko and join Kara and Alice. Keep all three characters alive as the story continues. 4. Midnight Train — Protect Luther When the police officer arrives at Rose's house, hide the evidence of android activity before opening the door. Tell Luther to hide upstairs and handle the officer's questions calmly. Successfully convince him to leave without discovering the androids. 5. Crossroads — Save Luther During the attack on Jericho, Luther will be injured. Choose Save Luther rather than abandoning him. Continue escaping with Alice until Kara and Alice encounter soldiers outside. When given the choice, select Play Dead, followed by Don't Move. Remain still until the soldiers leave. These decisions allow Kara and Alice to escape without causing Luther to intervene and risk his life. 6. Battle for Detroit — Rescue Luther While traveling through the streets, Kara and Alice will encounter Luther and Jerry being held captive by a soldier. When Alice asks Kara to help them, agree. Approach carefully, rescue the captured androids, and reunite with Luther. 7. Reach the Bus Station Continue toward the bus station using the faster route. If a soldier stops the group, explain that you're heading toward the border and that Alice is sick. Do not shoot the soldier. Once inside the station, find the family with a baby sitting near the crowd. When they leave their tickets behind, choose to keep them. Use the tickets to board the bus with Alice and Luther. 8. Cross the Canadian Border At the Canadian border, the officer will discover that Kara and her companions are androids. For the safest outcome, Markus should have maintained a peaceful approach throughout the story, keeping public opinion supportive of androids. When the border decision appears, choose No Sacrifice. With sufficient public support, the officer will allow Kara, Alice, and Luther to enter Canada together. Once all three cross the border safely, HAPPY FAMILY will unlock.

Tip

This trophy fits naturally alongside SAFE HARBOR and SURVIVORS. A peaceful Markus demonstration makes the border crossing much easier, allowing Kara's entire family to survive without sacrificing anyone. After everything they've endured, getting all three across the border is probably the closest this game comes to a relaxing family vacation.

Warning

Luther must survive every encounter, especially the attack on Jericho and the rescue during Battle for Detroit. Do not sacrifice Kara or Luther at the Canadian border. Doing so prevents HAPPY FAMILY from unlocking. Missing the bus tickets can force the group onto the dangerous river-crossing route, where Luther cannot survive. Make sure you take the tickets and reach the border by bus.

HAPPY FAMILY PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: I'LL BE BACK

Connor died and returned at every opportunity before reaching the end

Type: Silver

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor die and return at all eight required opportunities before reaching the end of Night of the Soul. Unlike most trophies in Detroit: Become Human, this requires a continuous story route. You cannot simply jump between chapters, kill Connor, and expect those deaths to count together. Connor must die at each required opportunity while progressing through the story in order. After every death, CyberLife will replace him with another Connor model, allowing his investigation to continue. This trophy is best attempted during your second, more aggressive playthrough, since several deaths require Connor to act coldly toward Hank and other androids. All 8 Required Connor Deaths: 1. The Hostage — Sacrifice Connor During the opening chapter, Connor must negotiate with Daniel, the deviant holding Emma hostage on the rooftop. Investigate the apartment if desired, then head outside to confront Daniel. Approach him carefully while choosing dialogue options that allow you to move closer. When Daniel asks you to send away the police helicopter, agree. Continue approaching until the Sacrifice option becomes available. Choose Sacrifice. Connor will throw himself at Daniel to save Emma, resulting in his death. This counts as the first required death. 2. The Interrogation — Get Shot by the Deviant To access this chapter, you must first find the deviant hiding in the attic during Partners. Investigate Carlos Ortiz's murder, reconstruct the crime scene, and use a chair to climb into the attic. After finding the deviant, proceed to The Interrogation. During the questioning, choose to forcibly Probe the android when the option appears. Once the interrogation ends, get up and approach the deviant again. Choose the Cold dialogue option, then attempt to leave the room. When the police officers intervene to stop the deviant from harming himself, choose Intervene. The deviant will steal an officer's gun and shoot Connor before turning the weapon on himself. This is the second required death. 3. On the Run — Get Hit by a Car To set up this death, have Kara and Alice sleep in the abandoned house during Fugitives. During On the Run, Connor will investigate their hiding place. When controlling Connor, head toward the lower section of the house to trigger Kara's escape. Pursue Kara and Alice until they reach the highway. Follow them across the fence and onto the road. Once Connor begins crossing the highway, deliberately fail the quick-time events by leaving the controls untouched. An approaching vehicle will hit and kill Connor. This counts as the third required death. 4. The Nest — Fall During the Rooftop Chase During The Nest, Connor and Hank investigate Rupert's apartment. Examine the bathroom wall and stool, then reconstruct the scene to locate the deviant. Follow the clues into the living room and investigate the fallen birdcage. Once Connor discovers Rupert hiding in the attic, a chase will begin. Pursue Rupert across the rooftops until Connor slides down a sloped roof toward a gap. At the end of the slide, Connor must jump across the opening. Do not press the required button. Connor will fail the jump and fall to his death. This counts as the fourth required death. 5. The Bridge — Let Hank Shoot Connor This death requires Hank to have a hostile relationship with Connor. Throughout the earlier chapters, choose cold, dismissive responses when speaking with Hank. During The Eden Club, kill the Tracis rather than sparing them. This will further damage your relationship with Hank. When Connor meets Hank near the bridge, choose dialogue that aggravates him. If Connor has discovered information about Hank's deceased son, bring up the subject. Continue responding coldly and insist that Connor is nothing more than a machine. With a sufficiently hostile relationship, Hank will pull his gun and shoot Connor. This also unlocks JUST A MACHINE. This is the fifth required death. 6. Public Enemy — Let Connor's Power Core Fail During Public Enemy, Connor investigates the aftermath of Markus's broadcast at Stratford Tower. Examine the security footage in the control room to discover that someone inside the building helped the deviants. Head into the kitchen and question the android employees. The deviant is the android positioned on the far left. Repeatedly question him until he attacks Connor. During the struggle, the android will remove Connor's power component, leaving him critically damaged. A countdown will begin, giving Connor limited time to recover his component. Do nothing. Allow the countdown to expire without retrieving and reinstalling the component. Connor will shut down and die. This counts as the sixth required death. 7. Last Chance, Connor — Let Gavin Kill Connor This death requires Connor to have gathered enough evidence to discover Jericho's location. Earlier investigations must provide usable evidence, such as Carlos Ortiz's statuette and interrogation clues, or information obtained from other deviants. During Last Chance, Connor, you'll return to the police station after being removed from the investigation. Create a distraction to keep the FBI agent occupied. If Hank is unwilling to help, visit the detention cells and release the prisoner in the far-right cell. Then retrieve the archive key from Hank's desk. Head to the evidence archive and ignore Gavin when he attempts to stop you. Enter the archive and access the computer terminal using Hank's password: f*ckingpassword Examine the available evidence and successfully discover Jericho's location. Once Connor has the information, attempt to leave the archive. Gavin will confront him and begin a fight. Deliberately fail the quick-time events by not responding to the prompts. Gavin will overpower and kill Connor. This is the seventh required death. 8. Crossroads — Get Killed by a Soldier For the final required death, Connor must reach Jericho and remain loyal to CyberLife. During Crossroads, Connor will confront the leader of the android resistance. When the opportunity to become deviant appears, choose Remain a Machine. This also earns COMPLIANT. Continue through the attack on the freighter until Connor encounters an armed soldier. When the soldier attempts to stop Connor, choose Attack. A quick-time event sequence will begin. Do not press the required inputs. The soldier will overpower and kill Connor. This is the eighth and final required death. Continue progressing through the story until you've completed Night of the Soul. If all eight required deaths were recorded along the continuous story route, I'LL BE BACK will unlock.

Tip

Plan this trophy around your aggressive playthrough. Keep Connor's relationship with Hank hostile, make sure you unlock The Interrogation, and gather enough evidence to access the investigation in Last Chance, Connor. You can also shorten the run by ending Kara's storyline during On the Run and allowing Markus to die during Freedom March, provided you've already earned their remaining trophies and don't need them for BOOKWORM. Connor's deaths during Battle for Detroit aren't required. You only need the eight opportunities leading up to the end of Night of the Soul.

Warning

This trophy is extremely sensitive to story progression. Missing any of the eight required deaths can prevent the trophy from unlocking. If you make a mistake, you can return to an earlier checkpoint and retry, but you must preserve your story progression and continue forward from that point. Do not skip ahead to later chapters using Chapter Select. Doing so won't carry the necessary sequence of deaths forward. Also, be careful during Meet Kamski. If you shoot Chloe and ask Kamski directly for Jericho's location, you may bypass the investigation route needed for Connor's seventh death. Finally, don't attempt this trophy alongside PARTNERS. Connor repeatedly dying and antagonizing Hank works directly against maintaining their friendship. CyberLife might be happy to keep replacing Connor, but Hank definitely isn't.

Trophy: JERICHO'S HERO

Markus got enough parts

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Collect enough supplies for Jericho by stealing a truck full of spare parts during the chapter Spare Parts. Markus will join Simon, Josh, and North on a mission to raid a CyberLife warehouse for replacement components. Your objective is to gather supplies without being caught by the human guards. Step 1 — Search the Supply Crates Begin by exploring the warehouse and collecting parts from the available storage crates. During the search, a security android will approach Markus. Shortly afterward, a human guard will appear. When given the opportunity, grab the security android and hide with him. Choose Hold and remain hidden until the guard leaves. Once the danger has passed, the android will ask to join Jericho. Agree to take him with you. He'll explain that a nearby truck contains a much larger supply of parts and that its key is inside the security office. Step 2 — Locate the Truck Key Continue searching the warehouse and open the larger container to release the androids inside. Then head toward the security office where the truck key is kept. Tell the others you'll retrieve the key alone. Approach the building from the side and enter through the window. Inside, you'll spot human guards near the main desk. Don't confront them directly. Instead, retreat through the window and locate one of the large metal barrels outside. Push the barrel over to create a distraction. The guards will investigate the noise, temporarily leaving the key accessible. Quickly climb back through the window and retrieve the truck key. Wait for a safe opportunity to exit through the same window. Step 3 — Steal the Truck Return to your companions with the key. Markus and the others will use it to steal the truck loaded with supplies. Successfully completing the mission with the additional parts unlocks JERICHO'S HERO.

Tip

Recruit the security android who discovers Markus during the warehouse raid. His name is John, and bringing him to Jericho can provide an important survival opportunity later during Freedom March. This is particularly useful when working toward SURVIVORS.

Warning

Simply collecting parts from the smaller crates may not be enough for this trophy. Follow the security android's lead, retrieve the truck key, and steal the additional supplies to secure the required outcome. Also, avoid unnecessary confrontations with the guards, as getting caught can disrupt the mission.

Trophy: JUST A MACHINE

Hank killed Connor

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Get Hank to shoot Connor during the chapter The Bridge. This trophy requires Hank to have a hostile relationship with Connor. You'll need to make several decisions throughout the story that damage their friendship before reaching the confrontation. During your second, more aggressive playthrough, focus on acting cold and unsympathetic toward humans and deviants. Some particularly useful decisions include: The Nest: Continue chasing Rupert instead of saving Hank when he falls from the rooftop. The Eden Club: Shoot the Traci android when given the opportunity, causing both Tracis to die. General Conversations: Choose dismissive, confrontational, or machine-focused responses whenever speaking with Hank. These decisions should leave Hank increasingly frustrated with Connor. When you reach The Bridge, Connor will find Hank drinking alone near the river. Approach him and begin the conversation. During the discussion, Hank will question Connor about androids, death, and whether machines can experience emotions. Choose cold responses that reinforce Connor's belief that he's nothing more than a machine. If you've previously discovered information about Hank's son, bring up the subject to further upset him. Continue choosing confrontational dialogue until Hank pulls his gun on Connor. When he threatens to shoot, maintain your cold attitude rather than reassuring him. With a sufficiently hostile relationship, Hank will pull the trigger and kill Connor. JUST A MACHINE will unlock after the chapter concludes.

Tip

This death also counts toward I'LL BE BACK, making your aggressive playthrough the ideal time to earn both trophies. CyberLife may have perfected android replacement, but Connor's people skills could still use a software update.

Warning

Hank must dislike Connor enough to shoot him. If your relationship is too positive, he may spare Connor regardless of your choices during the confrontation. Build hostility throughout the earlier chapters rather than relying solely on the conversation at the bridge.

Trophy: KINSHIP

Connor refused to kill the Chloe

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Refuse to kill Chloe during the Kamski Test in the chapter Meet Kamski. During Connor and Hank's visit to Elijah Kamski, you'll eventually be presented with a test involving Chloe, one of Kamski's androids. Kamski will hand Connor a gun and order Chloe to kneel in front of him. He'll then challenge Connor to shoot her to prove that completing his mission matters more than the life of another android. When the choice appears, select Don't Shoot. Connor will lower the weapon and refuse to kill Chloe. Kamski will be disappointed with Connor's refusal and won't provide the information he promised about Jericho. However, Hank will approve of Connor's decision to spare Chloe. The trophy will unlock after the chapter concludes.

Tip

This is the recommended choice for your peaceful playthrough. Sparing Chloe improves Connor's relationship with Hank and increases his software instability, helping you work toward PARTNERS and ONE OF US. Apparently, refusing to shoot someone is a pretty effective way to demonstrate empathy.

Warning

KINSHIP and PRIORITIES require opposite decisions during the same scene. You'll need another playthrough or Chapter Select to earn both. Refusing to shoot Chloe also means Kamski won't reveal information about Jericho, so Connor must rely on the evidence gathered during previous investigations to locate it later.

Trophy: KNOW YOUR PARTNER

Connor found all the clues about Hank

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Discover all eight clues about Lieutenant Hank Anderson while waiting for him at the police station during the chapter Waiting for Hank. After arriving at the station, Connor will briefly sit at Hank's desk before being allowed to explore the surrounding area. Once you regain control, return to Hank's desk and use R2 to scan for interactive objects. Examine the following eight clues: Coffee Cup: Sitting directly in front of Hank's computer terminal. Plant: Located immediately to the right of the computer. Donut Boxes: A stack of boxes sitting on the desk. Anti-Android Slogans: Written on the pinboard beside Hank's workstation. Dog Hair: Found on Hank's chair, revealing that he owns a dog. Baseball Cap: Hanging from the pinboard near his desk. Photograph: Positioned on the far-right side of the desk, near the chair. Matchbook: Resting on a stack of files in front of the photograph. Make sure you examine each clue rather than simply highlighting it with your scanner. You can also interact with the headphones and phone on Hank's desk, along with the large glass investigation board nearby. Once you've examined all eight required clues, KNOW YOUR PARTNER will unlock.

Tip

When Hank returns, bring up his dog during your conversation. It's an easy way to improve your relationship and start working toward PARTNERS. Apparently, even advanced detective androids know that talking about someone's dog is a reliable icebreaker.

Warning

Finish examining the desk before progressing through the conversation with Hank. Leaving the area without inspecting every clue can cause you to miss this trophy during the chapter.

Trophy: LIBERATION

Markus reached the camp and liberated the androids

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Successfully liberate the android recycling camp by leading Markus's revolution during Battle for Detroit. To earn this trophy, Markus must survive until the final chapters and choose an armed revolution instead of a peaceful demonstration. After Jericho is attacked during Crossroads, the surviving androids will regroup in a church during Night of the Soul. Markus will need to decide how to respond to the government's treatment of androids. Choose Revolution. This begins the route toward a direct attack on the recycling camp. Step 1 — Begin the Revolution During Battle for Detroit, Markus and the android resistance will approach the heavily defended camp. You'll need to advance through several areas while under fire from soldiers. Throughout the battle, Markus will command groups of androids and decide when they should advance or provide covering fire. Pay attention to the positions of your allies and the soldiers ahead. Use cover whenever possible and complete the combat quick-time events as they appear. Step 2 — Advance Toward the Guard Tower As your group moves closer to the camp, you'll need to coordinate the androids to avoid losing too many fighters. During the early advances, prioritize having your allies provide covering fire until you reach a defensive position near a guard tower. At one point, Markus will be lying on his back while enemy soldiers fire from above. You'll need to divide your forces between attacking and holding their positions. Order one group to charge while the other remains in cover. This allows Markus to advance beyond the guard tower. Step 3 — Break Through the Final Defenses Continue advancing until you reach another heavily defended section containing three groups of androids under your command. For this section, order the two groups positioned ahead of Markus to charge. Have the group beside Markus provide covering fire. Continue completing the quick-time events and responding to the battlefield prompts. Your objective is to push through the soldiers' defenses and reach the recycling camp. Step 4 — Liberate the Camp Maintain the assault until Markus and the resistance successfully break through the final defensive positions. Once the camp is liberated and the androids inside are freed, LIBERATION will unlock.

Tip

Save this trophy for your second, aggressive playthrough. You can lower the game's control difficulty to Casual if the combat quick-time events are giving you trouble. The revolution involves several demanding encounters, so simpler controls can make the assault more manageable.

Warning

Markus must survive the earlier chapters to lead the revolution. Choosing a peaceful Demonstration during Night of the Soul prevents you from following this route. Failing critical combat sequences or making ineffective battlefield decisions can also cause the revolution to fail. If you're working toward UNDEFEATED, take extra care during every fight.

Trophy: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Connor saved Emma

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Successfully rescue Emma during the opening chapter, The Hostage. As Connor, you'll enter an apartment where a deviant android named Daniel is holding Emma hostage on the rooftop. Before approaching Daniel, investigate the apartment to gather information that will help you negotiate. Start by speaking with the police captain to understand the situation. Next, enter Emma's bedroom and examine the tablet on her desk. This reveals useful information about Daniel and his relationship with the family. Then investigate the father's body in the living room and examine his tablet to discover additional details about why Daniel became deviant. Once you've gathered the information, head outside to confront Daniel. Approach him slowly and choose responses that reassure him rather than make him feel threatened. During the negotiation, focus on gaining his trust: Use the information you've discovered to show that you understand his situation. Remain calm and avoid unnecessarily aggressive responses. When Daniel asks you to remove the police helicopter, agree to send it away. Reassure Daniel that you want to help him and protect Emma. Promise that he won't be destroyed when the appropriate dialogue option appears. With enough trust, Daniel will release Emma before being shot by the police. Emma will survive, and MISSION ACCOMPLISHED will unlock after the chapter ends.

Tip

There's an alternative method if you're struggling with the negotiation. Approach Daniel closely enough to unlock the Sacrifice option, then choose it. Connor will give his life to save Emma, which also earns the trophy. This is particularly useful during your later I'LL BE BACK playthrough.

Warning

If you're working toward SURVIVORS, use the successful negotiation method instead of sacrificing Connor. Although Connor can return in a replacement body, keeping him alive is the safer approach for your first playthrough.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: MISSION COMPLETE

Connor killed the leader of the deviants

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor successfully kill the leader of the deviants during the final chapter, Battle for Detroit. The leader Connor must eliminate depends on your previous choices. If Markus is still alive and leading the android resistance, Connor's target will be Markus. If Markus has died and North has taken command, Connor must kill North instead. There are two main routes to earning this trophy. Method 1 — Remain a Machine During Crossroads, Connor will confront the leader of Jericho and may be offered the opportunity to become deviant. Choose to remain a machine. This keeps Connor loyal to CyberLife and allows him to continue hunting the android resistance. During Battle for Detroit, Connor's mission will eventually involve eliminating the deviant leader. Depending on the story, Connor may attempt to shoot the leader from a rooftop or confront them directly during the fighting. If Markus is leading the revolution, Connor can face him in a direct confrontation. When given control of Connor, successfully complete the necessary quick-time events to overpower Markus and kill him. If the game allows you to choose which character to control, you can instead control Markus and deliberately fail the confrontation, allowing Connor to win. If North has become the leader, Connor can eventually confront her after she has been injured. Complete the encounter so Connor successfully kills North. Method 2 — Become Deviant Alternatively, Connor can become deviant during Crossroads and support the android resistance throughout the ending. Continue through the story until Markus or North delivers the final victory speech. CyberLife will attempt to regain control of Connor and force him to assassinate the leader. Instead of resisting the takeover, allow CyberLife to maintain control. Do not activate the emergency exit mechanism in Amanda's virtual garden. Connor will carry out the assassination, satisfying the trophy's requirement. MISSION COMPLETE will unlock after Connor successfully kills the android leader.

Tip

The machine-Connor route fits naturally into your aggressive playthrough and can be combined with COMPLIANT. If Markus has already died, North becomes the target, potentially allowing you to complete the assassination without a direct confrontation against Markus.

Warning

This trophy directly conflicts with MY TURN TO DECIDE if you're following the deviant-Connor ending, since that trophy requires resisting CyberLife's attempt to control Connor. Killing Markus or North also prevents SURVIVORS, so complete this trophy on a separate story route.

Trophy: MORAL VICTORY

Markus succeeded in making the soldiers stand back

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Successfully convince the soldiers to stand down during Markus's peaceful demonstration in Battle for Detroit. This trophy requires Markus to maintain a peaceful approach throughout the story and reach the final chapter with sufficiently positive public opinion of androids. Unlike LIBERATION, which requires an armed revolution, MORAL VICTORY is earned by refusing to respond to violence with more violence. Step 1 — Build Public Support Throughout Markus's earlier chapters, choose peaceful options whenever possible. During Capitol Park, conduct a pacifist protest by selecting nonviolent actions such as tagging property rather than destroying it. During Freedom March, avoid attacking the police. Keeping Markus's demonstrations peaceful helps build support among the human population. You'll also want Markus to survive the events of Crossroads. Building a relationship with North is useful because it provides an additional option during the final confrontation, but a romance isn't required. Step 2 — Choose a Peaceful Demonstration During Night of the Soul, Markus will address the surviving androids after Jericho's destruction. When asked how to continue the fight for freedom, choose Demonstration rather than Revolution. Markus will organize a peaceful march toward one of the android recycling camps. During the march, soldiers will attempt to stop the androids. When given the opportunity, choose to sit down rather than attack. This reinforces Markus's commitment to peaceful resistance. Step 3 — Refuse the FBI's Deal Later during Battle for Detroit, Markus and the demonstrators will establish a barricade outside the camp. An FBI agent will approach and request a conversation with Markus. You can choose whether to speak with him, but if you do, don't accept his proposed deal. Rejecting the deal allows the demonstration to continue. Eventually, the soldiers will begin attacking the androids. Step 4 — Survive the Attack When the soldiers attack, complete the quick-time events to protect Markus and the remaining androids. Continue through the confrontation until Markus and a small group of survivors are backed into a corner. At this point, Markus will be presented with several possible responses. If Markus has developed a romantic relationship with North, you can choose to Kiss North. Alternatively, choose Sing. With sufficiently positive public opinion, the soldiers will hesitate and ultimately lower their weapons rather than continue the attack. Successfully convincing the soldiers to stand down unlocks MORAL VICTORY.

Tip

This is the ideal ending for your first peaceful playthrough. Positive public opinion can also help Kara, Alice, and Luther cross the Canadian border without sacrificing anyone, making it particularly useful for HAPPY FAMILY and SURVIVORS.

Warning

MORAL VICTORY depends on maintaining public support for the android movement. A few isolated aggressive actions may not ruin your chances, but consistently violent choices can prevent the peaceful demonstration from succeeding. Choosing Revolution during Night of the Soul also locks you into the alternative route needed for LIBERATION, so you'll need a different story outcome to earn both trophies.

Trophy: MY TURN TO DECIDE

Connor resisted hacking attempt from CyberLife

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor successfully resist CyberLife's attempt to take control of him during the final chapter, Battle for Detroit. To earn this trophy, Connor must become deviant during Crossroads and remain loyal to the android resistance through the ending. Step 1 — Become Deviant Throughout the story, make decisions that increase Connor's software instability. Saving Hank during The Nest, sparing the Tracis during The Eden Club, and refusing to shoot Chloe during Meet Kamski are particularly useful choices. During Crossroads, when Connor confronts Markus, choose Become a Deviant. Continue through the attack on Jericho and survive the escape. Step 2 — Support the Android Resistance During Night of the Soul, Connor will propose infiltrating CyberLife Tower to convert the androids stored inside. Continue through Battle for Detroit and successfully complete Connor's CyberLife mission. When the android resistance achieves victory, Markus will deliver a speech to his people. Connor will stand behind him during the celebration. However, CyberLife will suddenly attempt to regain control of Connor and force him to shoot Markus. Step 3 — Escape CyberLife's Control Connor will find himself trapped inside a snowy version of Amanda's virtual garden. You'll recognize this environment from earlier conversations with Amanda, although it's now frozen and much less welcoming. Your objective is to find the emergency exit mechanism hidden inside the garden. Look across the frozen landscape for a large black structure. This is the same mysterious structure you may have noticed during previous visits. Move toward it, crossing the ice while Connor struggles against CyberLife's control. Once you reach the structure, locate the hand scanner attached to it. Interact with the scanner to activate the emergency exit. Connor will regain control of his body before CyberLife can force him to assassinate Markus. Successfully resisting the takeover unlocks MY TURN TO DECIDE.

Tip

This trophy fits naturally into your peaceful playthrough alongside ONE OF US, AN ARMY OF ME, and SURVIVORS. Whenever you visit Amanda's garden earlier in the story, you can familiarize yourself with the black emergency exit structure so it's easier to recognize during the finale.

Warning

You must choose to become deviant during Crossroads and successfully reach the ending where CyberLife attempts to regain control of Connor. Failing to reach the emergency exit allows CyberLife's assassination attempt to proceed, preventing this trophy and potentially ruining SURVIVORS.

Kara succeeded to make the cop go away

Successfully convince a police officer that there are no androids hiding inside Rose's house during the chapter Midnight Train. While Kara, Alice, and Luther are staying with Rose, she will temporarily leave to arrange help for their journey toward Canada. During her absence, a police officer will arrive to investigate reports of android activity. Your objective is to conceal the evidence inside the house and persuade the officer to leave without discovering anyone. Step 1 — Hide the Evidence When you learn that the police officer is approaching, begin checking the house for anything that could reveal the presence of androids. Use R2 to scan your surroundings and identify suspicious objects. Pay particular attention to these locations: Room beside the entrance: Close the door to the left of the front entrance to conceal what's inside. Living room: Hide the android uniform sitting on the cabinet near the television. Under the stairs: Close the cupboard door directly opposite the entrance. Kitchen: Make sure the curtains covering the hiding area are closed. You'll also need to make sure Luther and Alice are safely hidden. When the opportunity appears, tell Luther to hide upstairs with Alice. Check the kitchen curtains if necessary before letting the officer inside. Step 2 — Speak With the Police Officer Once the evidence is hidden, open the front door and allow the officer to enter. He'll begin questioning Kara about the possibility of androids hiding in the area. Remain calm and answer his questions naturally. When he asks whether anyone else lives in the house, tell him Alice is your daughter. If he asks whether there are androids in the house, answer No. Avoid suspicious or confrontational responses that might encourage him to search further. Step 3 — Handle the Officer's Suspicions During his visit, the officer will speak with Adam, Rose's son. Adam will become nervous and struggle to answer his questions. When Kara has the opportunity to intervene, explain that Adam is frightened after seeing the android broadcast on television. This provides a believable explanation for his behavior. The officer will eventually prepare to leave. However, he'll hear a suspicious noise coming from the room near the entrance. When questioned, explain that the sound came from the washing machine. If you've successfully concealed the evidence and handled the conversation, the officer will accept the explanation and leave. NOTHING TO SEE HERE will unlock after the encounter ends successfully.

Tip

Tell Luther to hide upstairs before opening the door. This reduces the risk of the officer discovering him and helps preserve your chances of earning HAPPY FAMILY and SURVIVORS.

Warning

Failing to hide the android-related evidence or giving suspicious responses can cause the officer to investigate further. Luther can die if the situation goes badly, so take care during this encounter when attempting SURVIVORS.

Trophy: ONE OF US

Connor became deviant

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Have Connor become deviant during the chapter Crossroads. To unlock this trophy, Connor must develop enough software instability throughout the story to break free from CyberLife's programming. His instability increases when he makes decisions that demonstrate empathy, compassion, or independence rather than blindly following his mission. Step 1 — Increase Connor's Software Instability Several decisions throughout the story can help Connor become deviant. During The Interrogation, gain the suspect android's trust rather than forcibly probing him. During The Nest, choose to save Hank when he falls from the rooftop instead of continuing after Rupert. During The Eden Club, spare the two Tracis rather than shooting them. During Meet Kamski, refuse to shoot Chloe during the Kamski Test. If the opportunity arises during Public Enemy, risking Connor's life to protect Hank can also support this character development. These decisions gradually push Connor toward questioning his programming. Step 2 — Reach Jericho Connor must successfully discover Jericho's location to reach the required confrontation. During Last Chance, Connor, access the evidence archive and investigate the information you've collected throughout the story. Use the available evidence to determine Jericho's location. Connor will then travel to the freighter during Crossroads. Step 3 — Become Deviant During Crossroads, Connor will confront Markus aboard Jericho. As the confrontation unfolds, Markus will challenge Connor's beliefs and encourage him to question his programming. If Connor's software instability is sufficiently high, you'll be presented with the opportunity to become deviant. Choose Become a Deviant. Connor will break free from CyberLife's control and join the android resistance. Complete the chapter to unlock ONE OF US.

Tip

This trophy is easiest to earn during your peaceful playthrough. Helping Hank, sparing deviants, and choosing compassionate responses all support Connor's eventual transformation. Turns out becoming human involves considerably more than passing a CAPTCHA.

Warning

If Connor's software instability is too low, the option to become deviant may not be available during Crossroads. Choose empathetic actions consistently throughout the earlier chapters rather than relying on a single decision. Remaining a machine also prevents you from following the CyberLife Tower conversion route required for AN ARMY OF ME.

Trophy: PARTNERS

Hank and Connor were friends until the end

Type: Silver

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Maintain a strong friendship between Connor and Hank until the end of the game. Throughout Detroit: Become Human, Connor's decisions influence his relationship with Lieutenant Hank Anderson. To earn this trophy, you must consistently make choices that strengthen their friendship and keep Connor on a path toward becoming deviant. The following decisions provide a reliable route: 1. Partners — Make a Good First Impression When Connor first meets Hank at the bar, buy him a drink to improve their relationship. Later, investigate Carlos Ortiz's murder thoroughly and find the deviant hiding in the attic. 2. The Interrogation — Show Compassion During the interrogation, gain the deviant's trust rather than forcibly probing him. Keep his stress within the appropriate range and choose Convince to obtain his confession. When the police attempt to remove the deviant and he becomes distressed, intervene to protect him. 3. Waiting for Hank — Get to Know Him While waiting at the police station, examine all eight clues on Hank's desk. When speaking with Hank, choose conversation topics such as Music and Dog to learn more about him. Avoid unnecessarily confrontational responses. 4. The Nest — Save Hank During the rooftop chase, Hank will fall and end up hanging from the edge of a building. Choose Save Hank instead of continuing after Rupert. This is one of the most important decisions for improving their friendship. 5. Russian Roulette — Investigate Hank's Home After helping Hank to the bathroom, examine the bottle and gun on the floor. Pay attention to the clues about his personal struggles, which can help you handle later conversations more carefully. 6. The Eden Club — Spare the Tracis After locating the two Traci androids and completing the fight, Connor will aim Hank's gun at one of them. Choose Don't Shoot. Hank will strongly approve of Connor's decision to spare them. 7. The Bridge — Show Empathy During Connor's conversation with Hank near the bridge, avoid cold or dismissive responses. Express doubts about whether androids are simply machines and show compassion toward Hank. Avoid bringing up his deceased son in a confrontational way. 8. Public Enemy — Protect Hank During the Stratford Tower investigation, question the androids in the kitchen until the deviant attacks. Recover Connor's power component, pursue the deviant, and choose the actions that prevent Hank from being shot. Saving Hank strengthens their relationship. 9. Meet Kamski — Spare Chloe When Kamski offers Connor information in exchange for shooting Chloe, refuse. Choose Don't Shoot. This reinforces Connor's empathy and improves his relationship with Hank. 10. Crossroads — Become Deviant After discovering Jericho's location, Connor will confront Markus during Crossroads. Choose Become a Deviant when the opportunity appears. This allows Connor to abandon CyberLife's orders and support the android resistance. 11. Battle for Detroit — Save Hank During Connor's mission at CyberLife Tower, another Connor model may hold Hank hostage. Choose to save Hank and defeat the opposing Connor. When Hank questions which Connor is real, answer using the information you've learned about him. Remember that Hank's son's name is Cole. Successfully complete the CyberLife Tower encounter while preserving your friendship. If Hank and Connor remain friends through the ending, PARTNERS will unlock.

Tip

Combine this trophy with ONE OF US, AN ARMY OF ME, and SURVIVORS during your peaceful playthrough. The decisions that improve Hank's friendship also tend to increase Connor's software instability, making the deviant route easier to achieve.

Warning

Repeatedly allowing Connor to die damages his relationship with Hank. Avoid attempting I'LL BE BACK during the same playthrough. Killing the Tracis, shooting Chloe, or consistently choosing cold responses can also make it harder to maintain the friendship required for PARTNERS.

Trophy: PRIORITIES

Connor killed the Chloe

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Shoot Chloe during the Kamski Test in the chapter Meet Kamski. Connor and Hank will visit Elijah Kamski, the former CEO of CyberLife, hoping to learn more about deviants and the mysterious location known as Jericho. After speaking with Kamski, you'll be introduced to Chloe, one of his androids. Kamski will present Connor with a disturbing test designed to determine whether he can place his mission above any emotional attachment to another android. He'll hand Connor a gun and instruct Chloe to kneel in front of him. Kamski will then challenge Connor to shoot her. When presented with the decision, choose Shoot. Connor will fire the weapon and kill Chloe. Kamski will acknowledge Connor's decision and offer to answer one question about the deviants. After the scene concludes, PRIORITIES will unlock.

Tip

Save this trophy for your aggressive playthrough. Shooting Chloe damages Connor's relationship with Hank and reinforces his machine-focused behavior, which fits naturally with COMPLIANT and the colder decisions needed for JUST A MACHINE.

Warning

Shooting Chloe significantly damages your relationship with Hank and reduces Connor's software instability. Avoid this decision during your peaceful playthrough if you're working toward PARTNERS or ONE OF US. Also, if you're pursuing I'LL BE BACK, avoid using Kamski's reward to obtain Jericho's location directly. You need to preserve the investigation route through Last Chance, Connor for one of Connor's required deaths.

Trophy: RUN KARA RUN

Kara and Alice escaped the police

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Help Kara and Alice escape the police during the chapter On the Run. The exact escape sequence depends on where Kara and Alice spent the previous night during Fugitives. There are two main ways to earn this trophy. Method 1 — Escape Without Being Detected If Kara and Alice slept in the abandoned car, you'll need to navigate through an area patrolled by police officers. Use R2 to scan your surroundings and identify nearby officers. Watch their movements and wait for opportunities to cross the street or move between hiding spots. Avoid walking directly into an officer's line of sight. Continue navigating through the area until Kara and Alice successfully escape without being caught. This method is especially useful during your peaceful playthrough because avoiding police detection influences which magazines become available later. Method 2 — Escape Across the Highway If Kara and Alice stayed in the abandoned house, Connor may discover them while investigating the area. Once Kara is detected, she'll flee with Alice, eventually reaching a busy highway. As Connor, pursue Kara until the chase reaches the road. When controlling Kara, carefully complete the quick-time events to cross the highway while avoiding oncoming vehicles. You'll need to guide both Kara and Alice across the lanes of traffic safely. Successfully escaping the police and reaching safety unlocks RUN KARA RUN.

Tip

During your peaceful playthrough, try escaping without being detected. Save the highway chase for your I'LL BE BACK run, since deliberately allowing Connor to be hit by a vehicle during the pursuit contributes toward that trophy.

Warning

Failing the highway quick-time events as Kara can result in her or Alice dying, permanently ending their storyline along that route. Keep both alive if you're working toward SURVIVORS, HAPPY FAMILY, or magazine collectibles found in later chapters.

Trophy: RUTHLESS

The Tracis were killed

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Kill the two Traci androids during the investigation at the Eden Club. While playing as Connor, you'll investigate a murder at the Eden Club alongside Hank. Your investigation eventually leads you to a blue-haired Traci android who may have information about the crime. Use the club's androids to reconstruct her movements and follow the trail toward the storage area. Once you reach the storage room, head toward the far-right corner. You'll discover two Traci androids hiding together. They will attack Connor, triggering a fight. Complete the quick-time events to defend yourself and continue the confrontation outside. Eventually, Connor will retrieve Hank's gun and aim it at one of the Tracis. When given the opportunity, choose Shoot. Connor will kill the Traci he's aiming at, and the other Traci will take her own life shortly afterward. The trophy will unlock after the chapter concludes.

Tip

Save this trophy for your second, more aggressive playthrough. Killing the Tracis damages Connor's relationship with Hank, which can help set up JUST A MACHINE and one of the required deaths for I'LL BE BACK.

Warning

RUTHLESS and DOUBTS require opposite outcomes during the same encounter. Killing the Tracis prevents you from earning DOUBTS during that version of the chapter. This decision also works against a playthrough focused on befriending Hank.

Trophy: SAFE HARBOR

Kara and Alice passed the border

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Help Kara and Alice successfully cross the Canadian border during Battle for Detroit. This trophy requires Kara and Alice to survive the story and reach Canada. The most reliable approach is to keep Luther alive as well and maintain positive public opinion of androids through Markus's peaceful demonstrations. Step 1 — Keep Kara and Alice Alive Throughout the story, prioritize the safety of Kara and Alice. During Stormy Night, break Kara's programming and escape Todd's house. In On the Run, avoid police detection if possible. If you're forced into the highway chase, successfully complete the quick-time events. During Zlatko, free Kara from the reset machine, find Alice, and escape the mansion. Later, during Midnight Train, hide the evidence of android activity before allowing the police officer inside Rose's house. Keeping Luther alive throughout these chapters will also help you earn HAPPY FAMILY. Step 2 — Escape Jericho During Crossroads, the soldiers will attack Jericho while Kara, Alice, and Luther attempt to escape. When Luther is injured, choose to save him rather than abandon him. Continue escaping with Alice until you reach the outdoor area where soldiers are searching for androids. When confronted, choose Play Dead, followed by Don't Move. Remain still until the soldiers leave. Choosing to move or run can place Kara, Alice, and Luther in danger. Step 3 — Rescue Luther and Jerry During Battle for Detroit, Kara and Alice will travel through streets filled with soldiers. Move carefully between hiding spots, waiting until soldiers are looking elsewhere before advancing. Eventually, you'll discover Luther and Jerry being held captive by a soldier. Alice will ask Kara to help them. Agree to intervene and rescue the captured androids. Once the guard has been dealt with, Luther and Jerry will rejoin your group. Step 4 — Reach the Bus Station Continue toward the bus station using the faster route. During the journey, a soldier may stop Kara and question where the group is going. Tell him that you're heading toward the Canadian border. When questioned about Alice, explain that she's sick. Luther may suggest using violence to escape the situation. Do not shoot the soldier. Remain calm and continue through the conversation until you're allowed to pass. Step 5 — Obtain the Bus Tickets Once you reach the bus station, you'll need tickets to board the bus heading toward the Canadian border. Look for a family sitting near the crowd on the left side of the station. The mother will be sitting with her baby. Approach the family and interact with the tickets they accidentally leave behind. When Kara has the opportunity, choose to keep the tickets rather than return them. Take the tickets to the bus officer and use them to board the bus with Alice and Luther. Step 6 — Cross the Canadian Border After arriving at the Canadian border, Kara and her companions will discover that the authorities are screening travelers for androids. When you reach the checkpoint, the officer will scan Kara and discover that she's an android. You'll be presented with possible sacrifices that could allow someone in your group to escape. If Markus has maintained a peaceful approach throughout the story and public opinion of androids is supportive, choose No Sacrifice. The officer will allow Kara and her companions to cross the border safely. Once Kara and Alice successfully enter Canada, SAFE HARBOR will unlock. If Luther also survives and crosses with them, you'll earn HAPPY FAMILY.

Tip

Pair this trophy with MORAL VICTORY, HAPPY FAMILY, and SURVIVORS during your peaceful playthrough. Markus's positive public image can make the difference between crossing the border together and having to sacrifice someone.

Warning

The No Sacrifice outcome depends on the broader story and public opinion. If Markus has followed a violent path or public support is unfavorable, the border officer may not allow everyone through without a sacrifice. Sacrificing Kara or Luther prevents HAPPY FAMILY, while sacrificing any character required for SURVIVORS will prevent that trophy. Also, make sure you obtain the bus tickets. Missing the bus can force Kara and Alice onto an alternative escape route that is particularly dangerous for Luther.

Trophy: SAVE HANK

Connor saved Hank

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Save Hank from falling during the rooftop chase in The Nest. Begin by investigating Rupert's apartment with Hank. Inside the bathroom, examine the writing on the wall and the nearby stool. Use Connor's reconstruction ability to determine how Rupert moved through the apartment. Follow the evidence into the living room and investigate the fallen birdcage. Continue examining the clues until Connor discovers that Rupert is hiding in the attic. Once Rupert is found, he'll escape through the building and begin running across the rooftops. Chase him by completing the quick-time events and navigating the available routes. During the pursuit, Hank will attempt to follow Connor but will lose his footing and end up hanging over the edge of a building. At this point, Connor must choose between continuing after Rupert or helping Hank. Choose Save Hank. Connor will abandon the pursuit and pull Hank back to safety. Successfully rescuing him unlocks SAVE HANK.

Tip

This is the recommended choice for your peaceful playthrough. Saving Hank improves your relationship with him and supports the later PARTNERS trophy. It also increases Connor's software instability, helping you work toward ONE OF US.

Warning

SAVE HANK and CATCH IT require opposite choices during the same chase. You'll need to replay The Nest or obtain the second trophy during another playthrough.

Trophy: SECRETS

Kara discovered the content of Alice's box

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Gain Alice's trust and discover the contents of her locked box during A New Home. While playing as Kara, you'll be responsible for cleaning Todd's house and getting to know his daughter, Alice. The trophy requires you to build enough trust with Alice that she'll give you the key to a small locked box in her bedroom. Begin by completing the downstairs cleaning tasks. When you're instructed to collect the laundry, head outside and approach Alice while she's sitting on the steps near the back door. Kneel beside her and attempt to speak with her. She may seem distant, but this interaction helps build trust. Return inside and continue cleaning the ground floor. Before going upstairs, find Alice near the window in the living or dining area and interact with her again. Once you've finished your downstairs tasks, head upstairs to clean the bedrooms. Enter Alice's room and approach her for another conversation. If you've built enough trust through your earlier interactions, Alice will give Kara a small key before leaving the room. Look for the locked box sitting on the dresser in Alice's bedroom. Use the key to open it and examine the contents. After discovering what's inside, SECRETS will unlock.

Tip

Make a point of speaking to Alice whenever the opportunity appears. You don't need to rush through Todd's chores, and taking a little extra time to connect with her makes obtaining the key straightforward.

Warning

Don't finish the chapter without opening the box. If Alice hasn't given you the key, revisit the available conversations before completing your cleaning tasks and progressing the story.

Trophy: SELF-CONTROL

Markus let Leo win

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Allow Leo to attack Markus without fighting back during the chapter Broken. After arriving home with Carl, follow the story until you discover Leo attempting to steal artwork from the studio. The confrontation will escalate, and Leo will begin physically attacking Markus. Despite Carl ordering Markus not to fight, Markus will eventually break through his programming and become deviant. When the game presents the choice to defend yourself or obey Carl's wishes, choose Endure. Do not push Leo or fight back. Allow the confrontation to play out without retaliating. Once the scene concludes, SELF-CONTROL will unlock.

Tip

Choose this outcome during your peaceful playthrough. It also influences which magazine appears later in Waiting for Hank, helping you work toward BOOKWORM.

Warning

Choosing to push Leo instead will earn DEFEND YOURSELF and prevent SELF-CONTROL during that version of the chapter. You'll need to replay Broken to obtain the opposite outcome.

Trophy: SEND A MESSAGE

Markus conducted a pacifist riot

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Lead a peaceful protest during the chapter Capitol Park. After Markus and North successfully break into the CyberLife store and free the androids inside, Markus will have the opportunity to transform the surrounding streets into a public demonstration. Your goal is to make the protest as peaceful as possible while sending a clear message about android freedom. Once you regain control of Markus outside the store, use R2 to scan the environment for available interactions. You'll find several objects and locations where Markus can make a statement. Most interactions offer both peaceful and destructive options. Choose nonviolent actions whenever possible. For example, select options such as Tag rather than Destroy, and use graffiti, banners, and other symbolic gestures instead of damaging property. As you perform these actions, a meter will appear showing whether the demonstration is becoming more peaceful or violent. Continue choosing peaceful interactions until the meter is fully or overwhelmingly on the pacifist side. Eventually, the demonstration will reach its conclusion, and Markus will encounter two captured police officers. You can decide what happens to them, but sparing them is the most consistent choice for a peaceful playthrough. Complete the chapter with the protest classified as pacifist to unlock SEND A MESSAGE.

Tip

Earn this trophy during your first peaceful playthrough. Maintaining a positive public image helps prepare Markus for MORAL VICTORY and can make Kara's eventual border crossing easier.

Warning

SEND A MESSAGE and BURN THE PLACE require opposite protest outcomes. Avoid mixing peaceful and destructive actions, as doing so can leave the demonstration short of the result you need.

Trophy: SHELTER

Kara and Alice slept in the motel or the squat

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Find somewhere safe for Kara and Alice to spend the night during the chapter Fugitives. After escaping Todd's house, Kara and Alice will need shelter from the cold. There are three possible places to stay: an abandoned car, a motel, or an abandoned house occupied by Ralph. For this trophy, you must spend the night in either the motel or the abandoned house. Sleeping in the car does not count. Method 1 — Abandoned House (Squat) This is a straightforward option that doesn't require stealing money. Explore the area until you locate the abandoned house. Find wire cutters near the abandoned car. Use R2 to scan the surrounding area if you're having trouble locating them. Use the wire cutters to gain access to the property. Once inside, you'll encounter Ralph, an unstable android who has been hiding there. When Ralph confronts you, explain that Kara is also an android and reassure him that you mean no harm. Convince Ralph to let Kara and Alice stay for the night. Follow the remaining instructions to settle Alice into the house. Successfully spending the night in the squat will earn SHELTER. Method 2 — Motel Alternatively, you can stay at the nearby motel. You'll need to obtain suitable clothing for Kara and enough money to pay for a room. Explore the surrounding businesses to find what you need, then return to the motel and arrange a room for the night. Once Kara and Alice successfully stay at the motel, SHELTER will unlock.

Tip

The abandoned house is a convenient option because you don't need to obtain money. It's also useful during your later I'LL BE BACK playthrough, since staying there can help set up Connor's pursuit of Kara during On the Run.

Warning

Sleeping in the abandoned car will not unlock SHELTER. However, staying in the car can be useful during your peaceful playthrough because it helps preserve access to certain magazine outcomes needed for BOOKWORM. You can earn SHELTER during your second run instead.

Trophy: STAND YOUR GROUND

Markus stood his ground against the police

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Refuse to attack the police during the chapter Freedom March. While playing as Markus, you'll lead a growing group of androids through Detroit in a peaceful demonstration demanding equal rights. Eventually, the march will encounter a police blockade. Armed officers will order the androids to stop and disperse. When presented with the choice to attack, retreat, or stand your ground, choose Stand Ground. Markus and the other androids will refuse to move despite the officers' warnings. As the confrontation escalates, you'll be given another decision about how to respond. You can choose to retreat or sacrifice Markus. Either approach can satisfy the trophy's requirement, provided you stood your ground rather than attacking the police. If you choose to sacrifice Markus, he may be saved by John, the security android you can recruit during Spare Parts. Complete the chapter after taking your stand to unlock STAND YOUR GROUND.

Tip

For your peaceful SURVIVORS playthrough, the safest approach is to stand your ground initially and then retreat. This earns the trophy without deliberately putting Markus's life at risk.

Warning

Do not select Attack, as this leads toward CONFRONTATION instead. Sacrificing Markus can also result in his death if you haven't arranged for another android to protect him, so avoid that option when keeping everyone alive.

STAND YOUR GROUND PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: SURVIVORS

Everyone is alive at the end

Type: Gold

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Keep every required major character alive until the end of Detroit: Become Human. This trophy is best earned during a peaceful playthrough, where Markus maintains public support, Connor becomes deviant and befriends Hank, and Kara reaches Canada with Alice and Luther. The characters you must keep alive are: - Connor - Markus - Kara - Alice - Luther - Hank - Simon - North - Josh - Jerry Connor can return in a replacement body after certain deaths, but keeping him alive throughout this playthrough is the safest approach. Chloe does not need to survive for SURVIVORS, although sparing her is recommended for KINSHIP and Connor's relationship with Hank. The following chapter-by-chapter route covers the most important decisions needed to keep everyone alive. 1. The Hostage — Keep Connor Alive During the opening hostage negotiation, investigate the apartment to gather information about Daniel. Examine the tablets in Emma's bedroom and near her father's body. When negotiating with Daniel, remain calm, gain his trust, and agree to remove the police helicopter when requested. Convince Daniel to release Emma without choosing Sacrifice. This allows Connor to survive the opening chapter. 2. Stormy Night — Save Kara and Alice When Todd becomes violent, break through Kara's programming and immediately head upstairs to protect Alice. Escape through Alice's bedroom window or another safe route. Complete any necessary quick-time events to avoid Todd. Make sure Kara and Alice both escape the house alive. 3. On the Run — Avoid the Police During Kara and Alice's escape from the police, avoid detection whenever possible. If you're forced into the highway chase, complete the quick-time events successfully to keep both characters alive. Don't deliberately fail the chase or allow Kara and Alice to be hit by traffic. 4. The Nest — Save Hank While Connor is chasing Rupert across the rooftops, Hank will fall and end up hanging from a ledge. Choose Save Hank instead of continuing the pursuit. This protects Hank and strengthens his relationship with Connor. Throughout the story, continue choosing compassionate responses and avoid antagonizing Hank. 5. Zlatko — Escape With Alice When Zlatko traps Kara in the reset machine, disable the equipment and escape before her memory is erased. Release the captive androids in the basement and the robotic bear upstairs. Find Alice and escape through the back door. Luther will eventually become deviant and join Kara and Alice. Keep all three characters alive as the story continues. 6. Spare Parts — Recruit John During Markus's raid on the CyberLife warehouse, a security android will discover the group. When a human guard approaches, grab the android and hide. After the guard leaves, agree to bring the security android, John, back to Jericho. John can later intervene to save Markus during Freedom March if you choose a dangerous outcome. Recruiting him provides an extra opportunity to protect Markus. 7. The Eden Club — Spare the Tracis During Connor's investigation, locate the two Traci androids and complete the confrontation. When Connor retrieves Hank's gun, choose Don't Shoot. Sparing the Tracis improves Connor's relationship with Hank and increases his software instability. These choices help prepare Connor to become deviant later. 8. The Stratford Tower — Protect Simon During Markus's broadcast mission, make sure Simon, Josh, and North survive. When approaching the guarded hallway, choose Ruse rather than Attack. This allows the team to neutralize the guards without Simon being injured. When a human employee attempts to run from the broadcast room, stop him before he can raise the alarm. Complete the broadcast and escape with your team. Keeping Simon safe here prevents one of the major opportunities for him to die. 9. Midnight Train — Protect Luther While Kara, Alice, and Luther are staying at Rose's house, a police officer will arrive to investigate reports of android activity. Before opening the door, conceal the evidence inside the house. Hide the android uniform, close suspicious doors, and tell Luther to hide upstairs with Alice. Answer the officer's questions calmly. When Adam becomes nervous, explain that he's frightened by the android broadcast. If the officer hears a suspicious noise, explain that it's the washing machine. Successfully convince him to leave without discovering Luther or the other androids. 10. Freedom March — Keep Markus Alive During Markus's peaceful march, you'll encounter a police blockade. Avoid attacking the officers. For the safest outcome, choose to stand your ground initially, then retreat when the confrontation escalates. This allows Markus to survive without relying on someone sacrificing themselves to protect him. If you choose Sacrifice instead, John may save Markus if you recruited him earlier, but retreating is the more reliable option. 11. Meet Kamski — Spare Chloe When Kamski offers Connor information in exchange for killing Chloe, refuse. Choose Don't Shoot. This strengthens Connor's relationship with Hank and increases his software instability. These decisions help Connor become deviant during Crossroads. 12. Crossroads — Keep Everyone Alive The attack on Jericho is one of the most dangerous sections of the game because several important characters can die. As Connor: When confronting Markus, choose Become a Deviant. Complete the escape sequences and keep Connor alive. As Markus: During the attack, warn the androids to escape and choose to destroy Jericho. Follow the route toward the explosives while completing the necessary quick-time events. When you encounter Josh in danger, save him. Later, if North falls during the escape, help her rather than abandoning her. Make sure Markus, North, Josh, and Simon survive the freighter's destruction. As Kara: During the escape, Luther will be injured. Choose Save Luther rather than leaving him behind. Continue escaping with Alice until soldiers confront them outside. Choose Play Dead, followed by Don't Move. Remain still until the soldiers leave. This prevents Luther from attempting a dangerous rescue and allows Kara and Alice to continue toward the border. 13. Night of the Soul — Choose Peace When Markus addresses the surviving androids at the church, choose Demonstration rather than Revolution. This commits Markus to a peaceful approach and helps maintain public support. Connor should remain deviant and continue working with the android resistance. Speak with Connor and support his plan to infiltrate CyberLife Tower. This prepares the peaceful ending needed to protect the remaining characters. 14. Battle for Detroit — Save Hank and Convert the Androids During Connor's mission at CyberLife Tower, another Connor model may threaten Hank. Choose to save Hank and complete the confrontation. When Hank needs to identify the real Connor, answer his questions using the information you've learned throughout their partnership. Remember that Hank's son's name is Cole. Defeat the opposing Connor and successfully convert the androids stored inside CyberLife Tower. Make sure Hank survives the encounter. 15. Battle for Detroit — Complete Markus's Peaceful Demonstration During Markus's final demonstration, maintain the peaceful approach. When the group reaches the recycling camp, choose to sit down rather than attack. Later, when an FBI agent offers Markus a deal, refuse it. As soldiers attack the demonstrators, complete the quick-time events to protect Markus and the surviving androids. When the remaining group is cornered, choose Sing or Kiss North if that option is available. With sufficiently positive public opinion, the soldiers will stand down. Markus and his companions will survive, completing the peaceful victory. 16. Battle for Detroit — Rescue Luther and Jerry While Kara and Alice travel through the city, they'll encounter Luther and Jerry being held captive by a soldier. When Alice asks Kara to help them, agree. Carefully approach the soldier and rescue the captured androids. Luther and Jerry will rejoin Kara and Alice. All four must remain alive through the rest of the chapter. 17. Battle for Detroit — Reach the Canadian Border Continue toward the bus station using the faster route. If a soldier stops Kara, explain that you're heading toward the border and that Alice is sick. Do not shoot the soldier. At the bus station, find the family with a baby who accidentally leave their tickets behind. Choose to keep the tickets and use them to board the bus. This is important because the alternative river crossing can result in Luther's death. Once the group reaches the Canadian border, the officer will scan Kara and discover she's an android. Because Markus has maintained a peaceful approach and public opinion is supportive, choose No Sacrifice. The officer will allow Kara, Alice, and Luther to enter Canada together. Do not sacrifice Jerry or any other character at the checkpoint. 18. Battle for Detroit — Protect Markus From CyberLife After the android resistance succeeds, CyberLife will attempt to take control of deviant Connor during Markus's victory speech. Connor will find himself trapped inside Amanda's frozen virtual garden. Locate the large black emergency exit structure and interact with its hand scanner. This allows Connor to regain control of his body before CyberLife forces him to assassinate Markus. Once the ending concludes with every required character alive, SURVIVORS will unlock.

Tip

Combine SURVIVORS with PARTNERS, HAPPY FAMILY, SAFE HARBOR, MORAL VICTORY, ONE OF US, AN ARMY OF ME, and MY TURN TO DECIDE during your first peaceful playthrough. The key is consistency: protect your companions, avoid unnecessary violence, maintain positive public opinion, and complete the important quick-time events. It's a lot of responsibility for three androids who were originally just trying to do their jobs.

Warning

SURVIVORS depends on the survival of the entire required group, not just Connor, Kara, and Markus. Pay particular attention to Simon during The Stratford Tower, Josh and North during Crossroads, Hank at CyberLife Tower, and Luther and Jerry during Kara's escape. Avoid sacrificing anyone at the Canadian border. Because these requirements depend on decisions spread across the story, replaying only Battle for Detroit may not be enough to fix an earlier death. If you need to change a previous outcome, start from the relevant chapter with saving enabled and play through every intervening chapter.

Trophy: THREE AT JERICHO

Bring the three characters to Crossroads

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Bring Connor, Kara, and Markus to Jericho during the chapter Crossroads. To earn this trophy, all three protagonists must reach Crossroads along the same story route. This means keeping Kara and Markus alive throughout the earlier chapters while ensuring Connor successfully discovers Jericho's location. Keeping Kara Alive Kara must survive her storyline until she reaches Jericho with Alice and Luther. During Stormy Night, break through Kara's programming and escape Todd's house with Alice. Failing to become deviant can result in Kara's death and permanently end her storyline. During On the Run, successfully escape the police. If Kara is forced to cross the highway, complete the quick-time events to keep both her and Alice alive. Later, during Zlatko, escape the mansion with Alice. Releasing the captive androids and robotic bear can make the escape easier. Continue through The Pirates' Cove and Midnight Train while keeping Kara alive. She'll eventually reach Jericho as part of the story. Keeping Markus Alive Markus must survive until Crossroads to remain the leader of Jericho. The most important earlier decision occurs during Freedom March, when Markus confronts the police. For the safest outcome, avoid sacrificing Markus. Choosing to retreat after standing your ground allows him to survive without relying on another character to intervene. If you recruited John during Spare Parts, he may protect Markus if you choose the sacrifice option, but retreating is the simpler approach. Continue progressing through Markus's storyline until he reaches Crossroads. Getting Connor to Jericho Connor must successfully locate Jericho before the investigation ends. During Partners, find the deviant hiding in Carlos Ortiz's attic. This provides evidence that can be useful later. During The Interrogation, gaining the deviant's trust can provide an important clue about Jericho. When you reach Last Chance, Connor, access the evidence archive and use the information you've collected to discover Jericho's location. Once Connor knows where Jericho is, he'll travel there during Crossroads. With all three protagonists present during the chapter, THREE AT JERICHO will unlock after the chapter concludes.

Tip

This trophy fits naturally into your first peaceful playthrough. Keeping all three protagonists alive also supports SURVIVORS and gives you access to more of the game's story and magazine collectibles.

Warning

If Kara or Markus dies before Crossroads, their storyline won't reach the required chapter. Likewise, Connor must locate Jericho rather than fail his investigation. Because these outcomes depend on earlier decisions, changing them with Chapter Select requires replaying the intervening chapters with saving enabled.

THREE AT JERICHO PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: UNDEFEATED

Don't lose any fight before reaching the end

Type: Silver

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Complete Detroit: Become Human without losing any fights. Throughout the story, Connor, Kara, and Markus will encounter situations where they must fight enemies, escape attackers, or defend themselves using quick-time events. To earn this trophy, you must successfully complete the combat sequences you encounter without allowing your characters to lose a fight. You don't need to experience every possible fight in the game. Only the confrontations that occur along your chosen story route matter. The easiest approach is to attempt UNDEFEATED during your peaceful playthrough, when you're already trying to protect the main characters for SURVIVORS. Step 1 — Use Casual Difficulty Before starting your playthrough, open the game's settings and select Casual difficulty. Casual makes quick-time events less demanding, giving you more time to react and reducing the complexity of certain inputs. Changing the control difficulty does not prevent trophies from unlocking. Step 2 — Avoid Unnecessary Confrontations Whenever the story allows you to avoid violence, consider choosing the peaceful option. This reduces the number of combat sequences you'll need to complete successfully. For example, Markus can avoid several dangerous situations by choosing peaceful demonstrations rather than attacking the police. However, some confrontations are unavoidable, so you'll still need to pay attention during action sequences. Step 3 — Successfully Complete Every Fight Whenever combat begins, follow the on-screen prompts carefully. Avoid rushing your inputs, especially during sequences where you need to move the controller or perform several actions in quick succession. Your goal is to avoid any outcome where a playable character is defeated or knocked out during a fight. If you lose a confrontation, you'll need to replay the affected section successfully rather than continue with that failed outcome. Step 4 — Finish the Story Continue through the remaining chapters, making sure you don't lose any fights. Successfully reach the end of Battle for Detroit without suffering a combat defeat to unlock UNDEFEATED.

Tip

Combining UNDEFEATED with your peaceful SURVIVORS playthrough is efficient because both encourage you to keep characters alive and avoid unnecessary violence. Casual difficulty is particularly helpful during the more intense endgame sequences.

Warning

UNDEFEATED is about winning fights, not simply keeping everyone alive. Some failed combat sequences can leave a character alive while still counting as a defeat. If you fail a fight, replay the relevant section before progressing. Don't assume that surviving the encounter is enough to preserve your trophy eligibility.

Trophy: WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER

Markus broadcasted his message without raising an alarm or having a team casualty

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Successfully broadcast Markus's message from Stratford Tower without triggering an alarm or losing any members of your team. During the chapter The Stratford Tower, Markus, North, Simon, and Josh will infiltrate a television broadcasting facility to deliver a message to humanity. To earn this trophy, all four androids must survive the operation, and the team must complete the broadcast without raising an alarm. Step 1 — Get Past Reception Enter the building and approach the reception desk. Analyze the receptionist working on the left side of the desk. Examine the photograph of her daughter to obtain information you can use to distract her. After collecting the information, step away and use the available phone interaction to call her. Pretend to be an employee from her daughter's school. The receptionist will leave her workstation to respond to the supposed emergency. Approach the android receptionist and use the opportunity to gain access to the building. Step 2 — Obtain a Disguise and Let North Inside Find the men's bathroom and enter the last cubicle. Change into an employee's uniform. Leave the bathroom and search for an android technician working near an electrical panel in a staff area. Interact with the technician and take the maintenance cart he leaves behind. Push the cart along the corridor, following its original direction before turning right toward the fire escape. Open the fire escape door to allow North into the building. Step 3 — Reach the Server Room Follow North toward the server room. Two human guards will be standing outside the entrance. Avoid confronting them directly. Return toward the nearby vending machine and hack it to create a distraction. When the guards move away to investigate, enter the server room with North. Lock the door behind you and continue the infiltration. Step 4 — Reach the Broadcast Room After reaching the upper floors and reuniting with Simon and Josh, you'll approach a hallway guarded by two security officers. When presented with a choice, select Ruse. Markus will draw his weapon and threaten the guards, allowing the team to neutralize them without killing them. Continue into the broadcast room. Inside, order the employees to cooperate. One employee will attempt to run away and potentially alert security. Shoot the fleeing employee before he can escape. Although this is a lethal action, it prevents the alarm from being raised and helps protect the team. Step 5 — Broadcast the Message With the broadcast room secured, deliver Markus's message. After finishing, follow the team toward the rooftop and complete the escape. If no alarm was raised and all four team members survived, WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER will unlock.

Tip

The Ruse option in the guarded hallway is particularly important because it allows Markus to handle the security officers without injuring Simon. This is the safest approach for a playthrough focused on SURVIVORS.

Warning

Allowing the fleeing employee to escape can trigger an alarm and compromise the mission. Also, choosing a direct attack against the hallway guards can result in Simon being injured, preventing you from meeting the requirements for this trophy.

Collectible

Trophy: BOOKWORM

Find every single magazine in the game

Type: Silver

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and read all 46 numbered magazine articles scattered throughout Detroit: Become Human. Magazines are found in various chapters, usually on desks, tables, benches, or other surfaces. Each magazine typically contains two articles, so make sure to read both sides by swiping on the touchpad. Some magazines only appear after making specific story decisions, meaning you'll need at least two playthroughs to complete the collection. Most articles can be collected naturally while exploring, but several require particular outcomes: #28 and #29: Depend on whether Markus fights back against Leo during Broken. #32, #35, and #41: Depend on Kara's encounters with the police during On the Run. #42: Requires Markus to conduct a violent riot during Capitol Park. #43 and #44: Require Markus to attack the police during Freedom March. #45: Requires Markus to lead a peaceful demonstration. #46: Requires Markus to choose a violent revolution. You can track your collection through the Extras section of the main menu, where magazines are numbered. Use Chapter Select to revisit missing magazines. However, if an article depends on an earlier decision, you'll need to replay from that decision with saving enabled and continue through the intervening chapters. Once all 46 articles have been registered, BOOKWORM will unlock.

Tip

Use the video walkthrough to find each magazine's exact location, and check your Extras collection before replaying chapters. Focus on collecting peaceful-route articles during your first playthrough and violent-route alternatives during your second.

Warning

Simply finding a magazine isn't enough. Read every required article, including the opposite side of each magazine. Some locations contain different articles depending on earlier choices, so replaying a chapter alone won't always reveal the missing entry.

Trophy: SCORCHED EARTH

Markus or Connor detonated the freighter

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Detonate the Jericho freighter during the chapter Crossroads. After Connor reaches Jericho, the ship will eventually come under attack from soldiers. While playing as Markus, you'll need to escape the freighter and protect the remaining androids. During the attack, Markus will encounter North, who warns that Jericho's people are in serious danger. When the opportunity appears, choose to destroy the freighter rather than leave it intact. Step 1 — Decide to Destroy Jericho When speaking with North during the attack, choose the option to warn the androids and have them escape. Then select the option to Blow Up Jericho. Markus will decide to activate the ship's explosives to prevent the soldiers from taking control of it. Step 2 — Reach the Detonation Room Follow the available route deeper into the freighter. You'll encounter several soldiers along the way, so be prepared to complete quick-time events during combat and escape sequences. You may also encounter androids being threatened or captured. If you're working toward SURVIVORS, help important characters whenever possible, particularly Josh. Continue toward the lower section of the ship until you reach the detonation controls. Step 3 — Activate the Explosives Inside the detonation room, Markus will encounter more soldiers. Complete the quick-time events to defeat or escape them. Once the area is clear, interact with the explosives and activate the detonation sequence. Markus will then need to escape before the freighter explodes. Step 4 — Escape the Freighter Retrace the escape route toward North and the surviving androids. As you move through the ship, you'll encounter additional obstacles and dangerous situations. North may fall during the escape. If you're keeping everyone alive, help her rather than abandoning her. Continue toward the damaged section of the freighter and escape through the opening. The ship will explode after the surviving androids escape, unlocking SCORCHED EARTH at the end of the chapter.

Tip

You can earn this trophy during your peaceful SURVIVORS playthrough. Destroying the freighter doesn't require Markus to become violent toward the human population, so it can fit into an otherwise pacifist story.

Warning

Failing important quick-time events during the escape can cause Markus or other characters to die. If you're attempting SURVIVORS, prioritize saving Josh and North and make sure Markus survives the explosion. Connor can also detonate Jericho if he's become deviant and Markus is no longer available, but using Markus is the more straightforward route.

Trophy: WE ARE FREE

Kara and Alice escaped Todd's House

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Help Kara and Alice escape Todd's house during the chapter Stormy Night. After completing your household chores, Todd will become increasingly aggressive toward Alice. When he orders Kara not to move, you'll need to break through her programming and become deviant. Once you've regained control, your priority is to reach Alice and get her out of the house safely. One of the easiest escape routes is through Alice's bedroom window: As soon as you regain control, head upstairs toward Alice's room. Enter the bedroom and lock the door behind you to slow Todd down. Approach the window and open it. Help Alice climb outside, then follow her through the window. Complete any quick-time events if Todd catches up with you. Once outside, move toward the front of the house and head left to reach the bus stop. Board the arriving bus with Alice to escape Todd and complete the chapter. WE ARE FREE will unlock after the successful escape.

Tip

During A New Home, you can examine the windows in Todd's and Alice's bedrooms. This helps familiarize you with possible escape routes before things get ugly. Todd's house wasn't exactly winning any awards for hospitality.

Warning

Kara and Alice must escape alive. If Kara fails to break her programming or is killed during the confrontation, their storyline can end prematurely, preventing several later trophies, including HAPPY FAMILY and SURVIVORS.
