Far Cry 3 Classic Edition — Platinum Walkthrough
Trophy: Mastered the Jungle
Obtain all the Trophies.
Type: Platinum
Unlock Details
Earn every other trophy in Far Cry 3 Classic Edition to unlock the Platinum.
Trophy: Archeology 101
Gather a total of 60 relics.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
Collect 60 relics scattered throughout the Rook Islands. There are 120 relics in total, so you only need to find half of them. Relics can be hidden inside caves, underwater, near ruins, and in other locations across both islands. To make collecting them easier, visit a shop and purchase the available collectible maps from the Maps section. These maps reveal relic locations within the corresponding areas, particularly once you've activated the nearby radio towers. Travel to the marked locations and collect relics until your total reaches 60.
Tip
You don't need to collect all 120 relics for the Platinum. Focus on easily accessible locations and skip anything that requires excessive climbing or exploration. However, make sure you collect at least 30 relics before attempting The Good Stuff, since reaching that milestone unlocks the Untouchable special syringe recipe.
Trophy: Dead Letters
Gather all "Letters of the Lost".
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
Collect all 20 Letters of the Lost scattered throughout the Rook Islands. These letters are historical collectibles found in various locations across the northern and southern islands. Some are hidden in caves, abandoned structures, ruins, or remote areas. To locate them more easily, activate radio towers and purchase collectible maps from shops. Once the relevant map has been purchased, the letters will appear as collectible markers in the covered areas. Follow the markers and collect all 20 letters to unlock the trophy.
Tip
Unlike relics, you must collect every Letter of the Lost. Purchasing collectible maps is the easiest way to avoid missing one in a remote corner of the island. Thankfully, Jason can read these letters without getting attacked by their original authors. The local wildlife is another matter entirely.

Trophy: Full Bars
Activate 9 radio towers.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
Activate nine radio towers across the Rook Islands. Radio towers are marked on your map and can be found throughout both islands. Approach a tower, climb its platforms and ladders, and interact with the control box at the top to activate it. Each activated tower reveals part of the surrounding map and unlocks additional weapons for free at shops. Repeat this process until you've activated nine towers to unlock the trophy.
Tip
There are 18 radio towers in total, but you only need nine for the trophy. Activating more is still worthwhile because it reveals additional areas of the map and makes collectible hunting easier. Radio towers are also an excellent source of free weapons. Apparently, the island's telecommunications infrastructure doubles as a loyalty rewards program for heavily armed tourists.

Trophy: Memory to Spare
Gather all the memory cards.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
Collect all 20 memory cards hidden throughout the Rook Islands. Memory cards are located inside the safe houses of enemy-controlled outposts. First, liberate an outpost by eliminating all hostile enemies. Once the location becomes friendly, enter its safe house and search for a memory card. If one is present, interact with it to collect it. Repeat this process until you've collected all 20 memory cards.
Tip
There are 34 outposts but only 20 memory cards, so not every safe house contains one. Make a habit of checking each safe house immediately after liberating an outpost. This allows you to work toward Memory to Spare and Island Liberator simultaneously. If you're unsure which cards remain, purchase the collectible maps from shops to reveal their locations. Even on an island full of pirates, apparently, somebody was very committed to keeping digital backups.

Trophy: Fully Inked
Earn every tattoo by learning all the skills.
Type: Gold
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
Unlock all 54 skills across the three skill trees to earn every tattoo. Jason's abilities are divided into three categories: The Heron: Focuses on mobility, ranged combat, and aerial takedowns. The Shark: Improves health, healing, and close-range combat. The Spider: Specializes in stealth, weapon handling, and survival. You'll earn experience points by completing story missions, liberating outposts, defeating enemies, collecting items, and finishing side activities. Open the Skills menu whenever you have enough experience and purchase available abilities. Some skills remain locked until you reach certain story milestones or complete specific challenges. Once you've unlocked all 54 skills, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Liberating outposts without being detected awards bonus experience, making stealth a great way to level up quickly. You'll also need the Death From Above skill for Never Saw it Coming, so consider unlocking it early.
Warning
Some skills have additional requirements beyond earning experience. If an ability remains locked, check its description for the necessary challenge or story progression. If you run out of enemies after liberating every outpost, you can use Reset Outposts in the Gameplay settings to bring them back. Because apparently clearing an entire island of pirates once wasn't enough.
Trophy: Poker Bully
Win $1500 playing poker.
Type: Silver
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
Win a cumulative total of $1,500 from poker games. Poker tables become available as you explore the Rook Islands and liberate outposts. You can play at different difficulty levels, each offering different buy-ins and potential winnings. For a straightforward approach, play on Expert difficulty, where you can earn up to $750 per successful game. Two maximum-value wins are enough to reach the required total. Alternatively, you can use the Father’s Burden side mission for an easier method. Recommended Method — Father’s Burden Progress through the story until you've reached the southern island. Liberate Harmanse Gas and Repair Outpost. Travel to Thurston Town and begin the Father’s Burden side mission. Progress through the quest until you're required to participate in a poker game. Repeatedly use the All In option to build your winnings until you've earned $1,500. Once your cumulative poker winnings reach $1,500, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Your winnings must be finalized by leaving the table or winning the entire pot before they count toward the trophy. Keep in mind that losses reduce your total winnings, so you may need to earn more than $1,500 overall if you've lost previous games. Jason has faced pirates, wild animals, and a genuinely terrifying criminal mastermind. Naturally, his next challenge is surviving a card game without losing his shirt.
Trophy: Heartless Pyro
Kill 50 enemies with the flamethrower.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill 50 enemies using the flamethrower. You can obtain the flamethrower by purchasing it from a shop, unlocking it for free after activating five radio towers, or acquiring it during the story mission Kick the Hornet's Nest. Once you have the weapon, use it against pirates and other hostile enemies throughout the story, during side missions, or while liberating outposts. Continue until you've killed 50 enemies directly with the flamethrower to unlock the trophy. You can check your progress in the Handbook → Statistics menu.
Tip
Outposts provide plenty of opportunities to build your kill count, particularly if enemies call for reinforcements. If you've already liberated every outpost, you can use Reset Outposts in the Gameplay settings to bring the enemies back.
Warning
Enemies must die from the flamethrower's direct flames. Deaths caused by lingering fire damage may not count, so keep spraying until your target is defeated. Jason came here to rescue his friends, but somewhere along the way he apparently decided to become the island's least qualified firefighter.
Trophy: Improper Use
Kill an enemy with the Repair Tool.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill an enemy using the Repair Tool. You can obtain the Repair Tool by purchasing it from a shop for $400 or unlocking it for free after activating two radio towers. Once you've acquired it, equip the Repair Tool from a weapon locker and find an enemy. Approach the target and use the tool's flame to damage them until they die. It works at close range, so getting behind an isolated guard is usually the safest approach. The trophy unlocks after successfully killing an enemy directly with the Repair Tool.
Tip
Find a lone pirate near an outpost and approach from behind. You can soften them up with another weapon before delivering the finishing blow with the Repair Tool. It's technically meant for fixing vehicles, but Jason has apparently decided that maintenance equipment should have a much broader job description.
Warning
The enemy must die from the Repair Tool's direct flame. Deaths caused by lingering burn damage may not count, so keep the flame on your target until the kill registers.

Trophy: Love the Boom
Kill 4 enemies simultaneously with one explosion.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill four enemies simultaneously with a single explosion. The easiest approach is to destroy a vehicle carrying four enemies. First, equip an explosive weapon such as the RPG-7 or GL-94, or bring grenades or C4. Travel to an enemy-controlled outpost and deliberately alert the guards. Allow an enemy to activate the alarm so reinforcements arrive. Watch for a reinforcement vehicle carrying four pirates. Once the vehicle stops or comes within range, hit it with an explosive powerful enough to destroy it immediately. If all four enemies die from the same explosion, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
The RPG-7 is available for free after activating six radio towers, making it a good choice for this trophy. Try to position yourself where you can clearly see incoming vehicles. A well-placed rocket is much more reliable than throwing grenades and hoping for the best.
Warning
Not every reinforcement vehicle carries four enemies. Some have only three, so check the passengers before firing. All four kills must come from the same explosion, not a series of separate blasts.

Trophy: Never Saw it Coming
Kill an enemy with a takedown from above from a glider, zipline or parachute.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill an enemy using a takedown from above while descending from a hang glider, zipline, or parachute. Before attempting this trophy, unlock the Death From Above skill in the Heron skill tree. One reliable opportunity is at The Neck's Diner Outpost on the northern island. Approach the outpost quietly and climb onto the roof of its largest building. You'll find a zipline connecting it to a smaller structure nearby. Locate an enemy patrolling beneath the zipline. If necessary, throw a rock to lure the guard into position. Ride the zipline and detach directly above the enemy. With Death From Above unlocked, Jason will perform an aerial takedown if you're correctly positioned. Successfully kill the enemy to unlock the trophy.
Tip
You can also attempt this during the story mission Medusa's Call, which features several useful ziplines. The key is positioning. Wait until an enemy is directly beneath your descent path before jumping.
Warning
You must perform the takedown from a hang glider, zipline, or parachute. An ordinary Death From Above takedown from a rooftop or ledge won't satisfy this trophy. Make sure you've unlocked the Death From Above skill first. Otherwise, Jason may discover the difference between an impressive aerial attack and simply falling on someone.

Trophy: Rock Always Wins
Fully distract 25 enemies with rocks.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Successfully distract 25 enemies by throwing rocks. While exploring enemy-controlled areas, press Right on the D-pad to throw a rock. If an enemy hears it, they'll investigate the noise. For the distraction to count, the enemy must actually reach the location where the rock landed. Simply getting their attention isn't enough. Repeat this process until you've successfully distracted 25 enemies to unlock the trophy.
Tip
Outposts are ideal for this challenge because you can distract guards while planning stealth takedowns. Stay hidden, throw a rock a short distance from a patrolling enemy, and give them time to investigate before throwing another. You can work toward this trophy while liberating outposts for Island Liberator and attempting Unheard.
Warning
Make sure enemies complete their investigation of the rock's landing spot. Throwing rocks repeatedly before they reach the destination may not register additional distractions. If you run out of enemy-controlled outposts, use Reset Outposts after liberating all 34 to restore enemy activity.
Trophy: Toxophilite
Kill a target from 70m or more with the bow.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill an enemy with the Recurve Bow from a distance of at least 70 meters. You can purchase the Recurve Bow from a shop for $925 or unlock it for free after activating three radio towers. For an easier shot, purchase the Marksman Sight attachment for $250. Recommended Location: Valsa Docks Outpost — Northern Island Travel to Valsa Docks Outpost while it's still controlled by enemies. Approach from the nearby cliffside and locate the large, abandoned mortar cannon overlooking the docks. Position yourself near the top of the cannon and look toward the enemy patrols below. Wait for a pirate to walk onto the docks and stop near the water. Use the Recurve Bow to aim at the stationary enemy and fire from at least 70 meters away. If your arrow kills the target from the required distance, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
A headshot is the most reliable way to secure the kill. The Marksman Sight makes aiming at distant targets considerably easier. Try to remain undetected so the enemy follows their normal patrol route instead of running around looking for you.
Warning
The target must be at least 70 meters away when you land the killing shot. If you're too close, the kill won't count. Missing your first arrow may alert the enemy and make the shot harder to line up. If necessary, retreat and try again.

Trophy: Aftermarket Junkie
Buy all attachments and paint jobs for one weapon.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Purchase every available attachment and paint job for a single weapon. The easiest option is the 1911 pistol, which has six paint jobs and no attachments. Visit any shop and open the weapon customization menu. Select the 1911 pistol and purchase all six available paint jobs. The total cost is approximately $1,200. Once you've purchased the final paint job, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Use the 1911 pistol to save money and unlock the trophy early. Since it has no attachments, you only need to purchase its paint jobs. Your new collection of colorful pistols might not impress the pirates, but at least your inventory will look fantastic.
Trophy: Artsy Craftsy
Craft 5 upgrades for your equipment.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Craft five upgrades for Jason's equipment. Equipment upgrades increase your carrying capacity for weapons, ammunition, loot, and other supplies. To craft them, you'll need animal skins collected by hunting wildlife throughout the Rook Islands. Open the pause menu and navigate to Crafting, then select either Equipment or Ammo. Choose an available upgrade and craft it using the required animal skins. Repeat until you've crafted five upgrades to unlock the trophy.
Tip
Goats are particularly useful early in the game because several basic upgrades require their skins. You can find plenty of goats along the route toward Dr. Earnhardt's mansion. Activating radio towers also helps reveal animal locations, making it easier to track down the materials you need. Jason arrived on the island with a backpack and absolutely no survival skills. A few hours later, he's apparently qualified to manufacture tactical equipment out of goats.
Trophy: Bagged and Tagged
Complete a Path of the Hunter quest.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Complete one Path of the Hunter quest. These hunting challenges become available after you liberate your first outpost. Visit a liberated outpost and look for the bulletin board containing optional missions. Select a Path of the Hunter assignment, marked with an animal icon. Each quest requires you to hunt a specific animal using a designated weapon. Travel to the marked hunting area, collect the required weapon if one is provided, and track down your target. Kill the animal using the specified weapon to complete the quest and unlock the trophy.
Tip
Some Path of the Hunter missions feature rare animals and are marked with a red RARE stamp. Completing one of these special hunts and skinning the animal also earns Poacher, allowing you to unlock two trophies during the same activity.
Trophy: Fearless or Stupid
Dive more than 60m.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Dive more than 60 meters underwater. Open your map and look for a dark-blue section of ocean. These areas indicate deeper water and provide the best opportunity to reach the required depth. Travel to a sufficiently deep section of the ocean, jump into the water, and swim straight downward. Continue descending until you've reached a depth of more than 60 meters. The trophy unlocks once you've descended far enough.
Tip
You don't need to survive the dive for the trophy to count, so you can simply swim downward until it unlocks. If you'd prefer to return to the surface, consider unlocking these skills: Deep Breath: Allows Jason to stay underwater longer. Expert Swimmer: Increases swimming speed. You can also craft a Deep Dive syringe to improve your underwater survivability.
Warning
Make sure the ocean is deep enough before attempting the dive. Shallow areas won't allow you to reach the required depth. Also, keep an eye on Jason's remaining oxygen if you're planning to swim back to the surface. The trophy might reward reckless behavior, but the local sharks certainly don't need any encouragement.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbq_Iol2zX8&list=PLRr5L69yg_kHYZPBrP7zmbMj1GGnJoRQF&index=2&pp=iAQB
Trophy: Free Fall
Freefall more than 100m and live.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Fall more than 100 meters without using a wingsuit or parachute, and survive the landing. One reliable location is the large sinkhole on the northern island, near coordinates X: 438.0, Y: 795.0. Travel to the sinkhole and climb to its highest edge. Look down to locate the deep water at the bottom. Jump from the cliff and fall directly into the water without deploying a wingsuit or parachute. If you've fallen far enough and survive the landing, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
You can also attempt this during the story mission Fly South. When Jason jumps from Willis' plane, let him fall into the water below instead of immediately activating the wingsuit. It's a spectacularly questionable travel decision, but at least there's a trophy involved.
Warning
You must survive the fall. Aim for deep water and avoid hitting rocks or the surrounding shoreline.

Trophy: Hunter Hunted
Lure and kill a predator.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Lure and kill a dangerous predator on the Rook Islands. Eligible predators include bears, crocodiles, Komodo dragons, leopards, lions, rabid dogs, and sharks. One of the easiest opportunities comes during the early story mission Harvest the Jungle, when Dennis sends Jason to collect plants and animal skins. While gathering amber leaves near the river, enter the water and swim farther downstream. A crocodile can attack Jason here. When it grabs you, complete the on-screen prompts to kill it and unlock the trophy. Alternatively, you can encounter and kill a predator while exploring the islands.
Tip
The trophy's description is slightly misleading. You don't necessarily need to use bait or deliberately lure an animal toward you. Killing a predator during a natural encounter can also satisfy the requirement. Just remember that on the Rook Islands, you're not always the one doing the hunting.

Trophy: In Cold Blood
Complete a WANTED Dead quest.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Complete one WANTED Dead quest. These assassination missions become available at liberated outposts. Find a bulletin board and select a WANTED Dead assignment. The quest will direct you to a nearby location where a pirate commander or other designated target is stationed. Travel to the area and identify your target. You must kill the designated enemy using the specific weapon required by the mission, typically a knife takedown. Eliminate the target correctly to complete the quest and unlock the trophy.
Tip
Use your camera to tag enemies and identify the target before approaching. If the mission requires a knife kill, eliminate surrounding guards quietly and approach your target from behind.
Warning
Pay attention to the mission's weapon requirement. Killing the target with the wrong weapon won't satisfy the objective.
Trophy: Inked Up
Earn 5 skill tattoos.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Unlock five skills to earn five skill tattoos. As you complete missions, defeat enemies, liberate outposts, and explore the Rook Islands, Jason will earn experience points. Once you've earned enough experience, open the Skills menu and purchase available abilities from the Heron, Shark, or Spider skill trees. After unlocking your fifth skill, the trophy will unlock automatically.
Tip
This trophy should come naturally through story progression. Choose skills that complement your preferred playstyle, but remember that you'll eventually need to unlock all 54 skills for Fully Inked.
Trophy: Island Liberator
Liberate all outposts.
Type: Silver
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Liberate all 34 enemy-controlled outposts across the Rook Islands. There are: 20 outposts on the northern island. 14 outposts on the southern island. Each outpost must be cleared of enemy forces to count as liberated. You can approach them however you prefer, whether that's carefully eliminating guards with a silenced weapon or charging through the front entrance with enough explosives to attract attention from three neighboring islands. For a more efficient approach, use your camera to identify enemies and alarm boxes before entering. Disable alarms whenever possible to prevent reinforcements from arriving. Liberating an outpost unlocks its safe house, store, and fast-travel point. Once all 34 outposts have been liberated, the trophy will unlock. Tip:
Tip
Check the safe house after each liberation. Some contain memory cards required for Memory to Spare, so collecting them immediately will save you from revisiting locations later. Stealthy liberations also provide valuable bonus experience toward Fully Inked. You receive 550 bonus XP for clearing an outpost without an alarm being activated, or 1,500 bonus XP for completing it without being detected. These bonuses do not stack.
Warning
After liberating every outpost, you can use the Reset Outposts option in the Gameplay settings to restore enemy activity for any remaining combat trophies. The original liberations still count toward your trophy progress.
Trophy: Island Paparazzi
Tag 25 enemies using the camera.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Tag 25 enemies using Jason's camera. Equip the camera by pressing Up on the D-pad. Aim at an enemy to tag them. Once tagged, their position becomes visible even when they move behind cover. Repeat this process until you've tagged 25 enemies to unlock the trophy. Outposts are particularly useful because they contain multiple guards you can identify before attacking.
Tip
Use the camera whenever you approach an enemy-controlled outpost. You'll work toward Island Paparazzi while identifying enemy patrols, alarm boxes, and dangerous positions. This also makes stealth liberations much easier.
Warning
Taking photographs isn't required. You only need to tag enemies by aiming at them through the camera. If you've already liberated every outpost and still need more tags, use Reset Outposts in the Gameplay settings to restore hostile enemies. Jason may have become a heavily armed jungle warrior, but apparently, he still finds time for a little amateur wildlife photography. Except the wildlife has assault rifles.
Trophy: Jungle Journal
Unlock 50 entries in the Survivor Guide.
Type: Silver
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Unlock 50 entries in the Survivor Guide. The Survivor Guide automatically records information about the Rook Islands as Jason explores. New entries are added when you discover locations, encounter wildlife, gather plants, meet characters, and complete various activities. Simply continue playing the story and exploring the open world until you've unlocked 50 entries. The trophy will unlock automatically when you reach the required total.
Tip
This trophy should come naturally during your playthrough, so there's no need to actively grind for it. You can check your progress in the Handbook under Survivor Guide. Apparently, Jason's tropical vacation now includes writing an encyclopedia. At least nobody's grading it.
Trophy: Money to Burn
Spend $5000 at the shop.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Spend a cumulative total of $5,000 at shops throughout the Rook Islands. Shops are available at liberated outposts and other fast-travel locations. Look for the weapon locker inside a safe house to access the store. You can spend money on weapons, ammunition, attachments, paint jobs, collectible maps, and other available equipment. The trophy unlocks once your total spending reaches $5,000.
Tip
This should come naturally while upgrading your equipment. Purchasing collectible maps is especially useful because they reveal relics, Letters of the Lost, and memory cards while contributing toward the spending requirement. If you're short on cash, sell unwanted loot at a shop. Jason may be stranded on a dangerous island, but somehow the local economy is thriving.
Trophy: Needle Exchange
Craft 25 syringes.
Type: Silver
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Craft a total of 25 syringes. Syringes are consumable items that provide healing and various temporary benefits. You can craft them using leaves gathered from plants throughout the Rook Islands. Open the pause menu and navigate to Crafting → Syringes. Choose any available recipe and craft syringes until you've produced 25 in total. All syringe types count toward the trophy, including medical, hunting, combat, exploration, and special syringes.
Tip
Basic medical syringes are usually the easiest to craft because they require common green leaves. You can also unlock the Horticulture 101 skill to harvest twice as many leaves from each plant, speeding up the process considerably. The trophy tracks syringes crafted, not syringes used, so you don't need to inject Jason with enough medicine to concern an entire hospital.
Trophy: Poacher
Hunt and skin a rare animal.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Hunt and skin one rare animal. Rare animals appear during special Path of the Hunter missions, which become available after liberating certain outposts. Visit an outpost's bulletin board and look for a hunting assignment marked with a large red RARE stamp. Accept the mission and travel to the designated hunting area. Locate the rare animal and kill it using the weapon specified by the assignment. Approach its body and skin it to unlock the trophy.
Tip
Rare Path of the Hunter missions also count toward Bagged and Tagged, so you can earn both trophies from the same hunt.
Warning
Use the weapon required by the mission. Killing the rare animal with the wrong weapon can prevent you from completing the hunting objective.

Trophy: Rebel With a Cause
Liberate 3 outposts.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Liberate three enemy-controlled outposts. Outposts are marked on your map and can be found throughout the Rook Islands. Each one contains a group of enemies that must be eliminated to reclaim the location. Approach an enemy outpost and defeat every hostile guard inside. Once the final enemy is eliminated, the outpost becomes liberated and turns into a safe location. Repeat this process until you've liberated three outposts to unlock the trophy.
Tip
Use your camera to tag enemies before attacking. This makes it easier to track patrols, identify alarm boxes, and plan a stealthy approach. Liberating outposts without triggering alarms also awards bonus experience and helps you work toward Unheard.
Trophy: Road Trip
Complete a Supply Drop quest.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Complete one Supply Drop quest. Supply Drop missions become available as you liberate outposts and activate radio towers. Look for a Supply Drop icon on your map and travel to its starting location. Interact with the mission marker to begin a timed driving challenge. Enter the designated vehicle and follow the route through the checkpoints, reaching the final destination before the timer expires. Successfully complete the delivery to unlock the trophy.
Tip
Follow the marked route and avoid unnecessary detours. The time limits are generally manageable as long as you keep moving. Try not to launch your vehicle off a cliff while taking a shortcut. Jason has already survived enough questionable transportation decisions.
Trophy: Say Hi to the Internet
Find the lost Hollywood star.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Find the lost Hollywood star buried on a beach on the northern island. Travel to approximately X: 619.5, Y: 559.5 on your in-game map. When you reach the beach, look for two bodies hanging from a nearby tree. Beneath them, you'll find a man buried in the sand with only his head sticking out. Approach him and hold the interaction button to unlock the trophy.
Tip
This is a reference to The Far Cry Experience, a live-action promotional series featuring Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Apparently, his trip to the Rook Islands went even worse than Jason's.

Trophy: The Good Stuff
Craft a special syringe.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Craft one special syringe. Special syringes provide powerful temporary effects and require more ingredients than ordinary syringes. The easiest option is the Untouchable syringe, which becomes available after collecting 30 relics. Once you've collected enough relics, gather the following ingredients: 2 White Leaves 5 Amber Leaves 5 Green Leaves Open the pause menu and navigate to Crafting → Syringes → Special. Select the Untouchable syringe and craft it to unlock the trophy.
Tip
You'll already need to collect 60 relics for Archeology 101, so this trophy fits naturally into your collectible cleanup. White leaves are less common than ordinary plants, so keep an eye out for them while exploring. Untouchable temporarily protects Jason from damage, which is extremely useful when your next brilliant plan involves charging an enemy outpost with a flamethrower.
Warning
The Untouchable recipe won't become available until you've collected 30 relics. If it isn't showing in your crafting menu, check your relic total before searching for more ingredients.

Trophy: Unheard
Liberate an outpost without triggering an alarm.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc

Liberate an enemy-controlled outpost without triggering an alarm. Approach any hostile outpost and use your camera to tag the guards and identify the alarm boxes. Before attacking, carefully eliminate enemies who might activate the alarms. You can also disable the alarm boxes directly to prevent reinforcements from being called. Clear the entire outpost without an alarm being triggered to unlock the trophy.
Tip
A silenced sniper rifle or the Recurve Bow makes this much easier. Throw rocks to lure guards away from groups, then eliminate them individually. Clearing an outpost without being detected also satisfies the trophy requirement and awards a larger experience bonus toward Fully Inked.
Warning
You don't have to remain completely undetected, but an alarm must never be activated. If a guard successfully calls for reinforcements, try again at another outpost or reload an earlier checkpoint.

EARLY GAME
Welcome to the Rook Islands! What was supposed to be a tropical vacation has turned into a survival nightmare involving pirates, dangerous wildlife, and Vaas, a man who really should have been encouraged to attend anger management classes. You'll play as Jason Brody, an ordinary tourist who somehow goes from terrified vacationer to one-man army. Your Platinum journey requires one playthrough, and thankfully, there are no difficulty-related or permanently missable trophies.
After escaping the pirates and liberating your first outpost, you'll have the freedom to explore much of the northern island. Start activating radio towers to reveal the map, unlock free weapons, and make exploration easier. Liberate outposts as you encounter them, hunt animals for crafting materials, and begin upgrading your equipment. Prioritize larger weapon holsters and useful survival skills so you're better prepared for the increasingly chaotic adventures ahead.
Don't worry about completing everything immediately, but develop a few good habits. Tag enemies with your camera before attacking, throw rocks to distract guards, and check liberated outposts for memory cards. Try clearing at least one outpost without triggering an alarm for Unheard. Stealth also provides valuable experience toward Fully Inked, which requires unlocking every skill. Of course, you're welcome to abandon stealth occasionally. Sometimes the jungle gives you a silenced weapon, and sometimes it gives you a flamethrower.
MID GAME
As you progress through the story, Jason will become increasingly capable of surviving the island's many unpleasant surprises. Continue liberating outposts, activating radio towers, and completing side activities whenever you need a break from rescuing your friends. There are 34 outposts across both islands, and you'll eventually need to liberate all of them for Island Liberator. Each liberated outpost also provides a safe house and fast-travel location, making your remaining objectives easier to tackle.
Start working toward the collectible trophies as you explore. You'll need 60 relics out of the 120 available, all 20 Letters of the Lost, and all 20 memory cards. Purchasing collectible maps from shops will reveal their locations in areas covered by activated radio towers. These purchases also contribute toward Money to Burn, so you're essentially being rewarded for spending money to avoid searching every bush on the island. A rare moment of financial responsibility.
This is also a great time to tackle miscellaneous combat and hunting trophies. Use the flamethrower whenever practical to build toward 50 kills for Heartless Pyro, experiment with explosives for Love the Boom, and unlock Death From Above before attempting Never Saw it Coming. Complete a Path of the Hunter quest, a Supply Drop, and a WANTED Dead assignment while they're conveniently nearby. Keep earning experience and unlocking skills throughout the adventure, since some abilities remain unavailable until you've progressed further through the story.
LATE GAME
Eventually, the story will take you to the southern island, opening another region filled with outposts, collectibles, and enemies who apparently haven't heard what happened to everyone on the first island. Continue activating radio towers and clearing outposts as you explore. If you've been gathering relics, hunting wildlife, and completing optional activities along the way, you should already be making excellent progress toward Fully Inked and the remaining collection trophies.
Before finishing the story, consider tackling some of the more specialized objectives. Poker Bully requires winning a total of $1,500 at poker, which can be made easier through the Father’s Burden side mission in Thurston Town. You can also work on the long-range bow kill for Toxophilite, the Repair Tool kill for Improper Use, and the various explosive and environmental trophies. The islands offer plenty of opportunities for creative combat, although the pirates probably have a less enthusiastic opinion of your experimentation.
Continue through the final story missions and make whichever ending choice you prefer. Both endings award What a Trip, so there's no need for another playthrough. Once the credits finish, you can return to free roam across both islands and complete anything you left unfinished. Jason might finally be ready to leave the islands, but unfortunately, that Platinum isn't going to earn itself. The vacation continues, whether the travel insurance company likes it or not.
TROPHY CLEANUP AND EXTRA TIPS
After completing the story, use free roam to finish your remaining collectibles, outposts, challenges, and combat trophies. Check the map for any undiscovered relics, Letters of the Lost, or memory cards, and purchase the appropriate collectible maps if necessary. Fully Inked requires all 54 skills, so continue earning experience through side missions, combat, and collectibles until every ability is unlocked. Some skills have specific prerequisites, making it worth checking their requirements rather than simply grinding experience.
If you've liberated every outpost but still need enemy-related trophies, use the Reset Outposts option in the Gameplay settings to repopulate them with enemies. This is particularly useful for Rock Always Wins, Island Paparazzi, Heartless Pyro, and other combat challenges. For Free Fall, find a sufficiently high cliff above deep water and survive a fall of more than 100 meters. Fearless or Stupid requires diving more than 60 meters underwater, and unlike most sensible diving advice, surviving isn't actually necessary for the trophy.
With no multiplayer requirements, difficulty restrictions, or permanently missable trophies, Far Cry 3 Classic Edition offers a fairly relaxed Platinum that should take approximately 20–25 hours. Once you've completed every objective, Mastered the Jungle will unlock. Congratulations! You've conquered two islands, defeated an army of pirates, survived the wildlife, and somehow become the most dangerous tourist in history. Five-star vacation experience. Would absolutely not recommend the resort.
