Forza Horizon 5 Trophy Roadmap

EARLY GAME

Welcome to Mexico, where the Horizon Festival has hundreds of cars, beautiful scenery, and absolutely no respect for your free time. Begin by completing the introduction and exploring the open world at your own pace. Earn Accolade Points through races, PR Stunts, and Horizon Stories to unlock new chapters of Horizon Adventure. Your main goal is to build all five additional Festival Outposts and reach the Hall of Fame with 200,000 Accolade Points. Enable Rewind and adjust the driving assists to suit your skill level; most trophies don't require a specific difficulty.

Before getting too comfortable, check the Festival Playlist. This is the most important part of your Platinum planning because Min, Meet Max requires completing every non-expansion event across an entire four-week Series. Each week introduces a new season and challenges, so missing a required event can mean starting again with a future Series. Also watch for Treasure Hunts, Seasonal Smashable Challenges, and opportunities to complete activities across all four seasons for Treasure Hunter, Gotta Smash 'Em All, and Seasoned Veteran. During Summer's Wet Season, smash 500 cacti for Cactus Makes Perfect, and during Spring's Hot Season, look for a dust storm to photograph with the Gran Telescopio for Dust in the Lens.

For your first Horizon Adventure, consider the Tulum Expedition under Horizon Apex. It offers convenient opportunities to photograph the Golden Tlaloc Totem, capture a tropical storm, install the Horizon Pulse Radio Beacon, and complete all optional Expedition Accolades. As you explore, smash Bonus Boards and discover new roads whenever convenient. Prioritize Fast Travel Boards because destroying all 50 eventually makes fast travel free, saving plenty of time as your trophy hunt expands across Mexico.

MID GAME

Continue unlocking Horizon Adventure chapters until all Festival Outposts, race disciplines, and major activities become available. Reach the Hall of Fame by earning 200,000 Accolade Points, then drive into the main Horizon Festival to trigger the induction. Along the way, win all four Showcase Events and complete The Goliath. You should also begin working toward Racing and Pacing and Plotting the Course, which requires winning 80 different race events, and Living Legend, which requires earning 294 stars from PR Stunts. You don't need to win every race or three-star every stunt on the map, so concentrate on events that suit your driving strengths.

Start tackling the larger collection trophies while exploring. Complete Collection requires smashing all 250 Bonus Boards, including 200 XP Boards and 50 Fast Travel Boards, while Ride and Seek requires discovering all 578 roads. You'll also need to find and fully restore 14 Barn Finds for Better Than New, which can take considerable time after discovering the vehicles. Work through Horizon Stories and aim for three stars across every chapter of one story for Cover to Cover. The Born Fast story is particularly useful because its Tristan chapter is also required for How to Race Friends and Influence People.

Keep earning credits rather than spending everything on your dream garage. Mogul requires purchasing all seven Player Houses, costing 10,050,000 credits without paid bonuses, while You Could Say I'm a Fan requires earning a Manufacturer Bonus for a collection containing at least 25 cars. Chevrolet is generally a more affordable option than Ferrari, Porsche, or Ford. Buying Buenas Vistas also unlocks fast travel to any road, which becomes especially useful once you've destroyed the Fast Travel Boards. Mexico is enormous, and even the nicest sports car gets tired of driving to the opposite side of the map.

LATE GAME

With the Hall of Fame unlocked, focus on the remaining difficult races, PR Stunts, and specialized challenges. For Unbeatable Triumph, win six different races against Unbeatable Drivatars, using well-tuned vehicles and familiar tracks to improve your chances. Complete three Rivals victories in different PI classes using the same car for I Have the High Ground. You'll also need to earn three stars at Eagle's Perch in a Ford Supervan 3 and complete both the Puerta Pétrea and La Marisma Trailblazers within the required 3-minute-30-second window for Water Performance.

Begin working seriously on online multiplayer trophies, especially Chicken Dinner, which requires winning an entire game of The Eliminator. This is likely to be your toughest challenge because it combines competitive racing with unpredictable car drops and opponents. Look for useful off-road vehicles early, avoid unnecessary head-to-head races once you've secured a competitive car, and plan your position before the final race. You'll also need to win a Horizon Open event, complete Horizon Tour races ahead of all Drivatars, finish a Super7 run, and clear all three rounds in each of Horizon Arcade's five themes. Don't leave these entirely until the end; multiplayer matchmaking and performance can make completion times unpredictable.

Continue checking the Festival Playlist every week while finishing everything else. For Min, Meet Max, you must complete all required non-expansion events throughout one entire Series, including relevant daily challenges, seasonal championships, PR Stunts, and monthly activities. Pay particular attention to Treasure Hunts, which must all be completed within the same Series for Treasure Hunter. The Playlist runs on real-world weekly deadlines, so prioritize events that are about to disappear over permanent races and collectibles. A missed deadline is much harder to recover from than a missed corner.

TROPHY CLEANUP AND EXTRA TIPS

After completing the main Horizon Adventure, you can continue exploring freely and finish any remaining trophies without starting another playthrough. Check your map for undiscovered roads, forgotten Bonus Boards, unfinished races, and PR Stunts where you can still earn additional stars. If Ride and Seek is proving stubborn, remove map filters and examine small dirt tracks, road junctions, and the tunnels beneath Guanajuato. Double-check that all 14 Barn Finds have finished restoring, since discovering a barn alone isn't enough for Better Than New.

Finish the smaller miscellaneous trophies while waiting for seasonal activities or multiplayer opportunities. Photograph the 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE and 50 Legendary cars for Horizon Promo, obtain a Forza Edition car from a Wheelspin, complete a community-created EventLab event, and send another player a Gift Drop. Some photo challenges become much easier with custom EventLab events, but make sure the required location, weather, and time-of-day conditions are satisfied. Keep collecting credits for remaining houses and cars, and remember that the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions aren't required for the base-game Platinum.

Your final obstacles will probably be Chicken Dinner and the Festival Playlist trophies. If an important seasonal challenge has expired, you'll need to wait for another suitable rotation or a fresh Series rather than assume it can be replayed whenever you want. Older guides describe offline date-changing methods, but their reliability can change with updates, so the safest route is to follow the live Playlist and complete its requirements before each deadline. Once all 53 other base-game trophies are unlocked, Horizon Superstar will be yours. That's one serious road trip, and thankfully nobody is making you pay for the tires.
