Trophy: Altruist Acolyte

Deliver an unsuspecting victim to the Altruist Cult.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Deliver a Random Event passenger to the Altruist Cult as Trevor. This can only be done while playing as Trevor. As you explore the map, certain Random Events will involve people asking you for a ride. Pick up one of these passengers. Instead of taking them to their requested destination, drive them to the Altruist Cult. While you have an eligible passenger in the vehicle, the Cult will appear on the map with a capital A icon. Deliver the passenger there and the trophy will unlock.

Tip

Save before picking up an eligible passenger if you want an easy backup in case something goes wrong on the way.

Warning

Choose Option C: The Third Way during the final story mission so Trevor remains available for cleanup. They asked for a ride. Trevor heard “unexpected cult delivery.” Close enough.

Unlock Details

Complete Michael’s Epsilon Program questline. This is a long chain of missions, donations, errands, bad financial decisions, and increasingly questionable requests. Start by using Michael’s phone to visit the Epsilon Program website and complete the identity evaluation. After that, work through the following steps: Complete the identity evaluation on the Epsilon website. Wait for the first Epsilon encounter to appear, complete it, then donate $500. Wait for the next Epsilon event, then donate $5,000. Deliver the 5 requested vehicles: Declasse Tornado Pegassi Vacca Benefactor Surano Enus Super Diamond Dinka Double-T Complete the next Epsilon mission and locate the 3 requested items. Donate another $10,000. Buy the Epsilon robes for $25,000. After the robes arrive at Michael’s house, wear them for 10 in-game days. Sleeping repeatedly is the fastest way to move the days forward. Do not switch characters while working through this section. Complete the next Epsilon mission involving the plane. Complete the desert pilgrimage by walking 5 miles, or roughly 8 kilometers, through the designated desert area. Stay inside the required area until the full distance is completed. Complete the final Epsilon mission. During the final mission, you will be asked to deliver a large amount of money. Instead, you can leave with the money and walk away with roughly $2.1 million while still completing the trophy requirements. The trophy unlocks once the Epsilon storyline is finished.

Tip

For the 10-day robe requirement, repeatedly sleep as Michael while keeping the robes equipped. During the 5-mile desert walk, stay inside the marked desert area. Leaving it can reset your progress.

Warning

Choose Option C: The Third Way during the final story mission so Michael remains available for cleanup. Make sure your game is fully updated before starting the Epsilon questline, as older versions were known to have issues with parts of the chain. You will donate money, buy robes, deliver cars, wander through the desert, and listen to increasingly suspicious people explain enlightenment. By the end, you may not understand Kifflom. But you will understand why cults are expensive.

Trophy: Three Man Army

Survive 3 minutes on at least a 3 star Wanted Level with all three characters together off mission.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Survive for 3 minutes with at least a 3-star Wanted Level while Michael, Franklin, and Trevor are all together off mission. While free roaming, use any protagonist and call the other two to hang out. Once all three characters are together, build up a 3-star Wanted Level or higher. The airport is an easy place to do this because entering restricted areas can quickly raise your Wanted Level. Now survive for a full 3 minutes without losing the police. The trophy will unlock once the time requirement is met.

Tip

Use a durable vehicle and keep moving rather than trying to fight everything head-on.

Warning

Choose Option C: The Third Way during the final story mission so all three protagonists remain available. Three protagonists. Three stars. Three minutes. And somehow this is considered quality time together.

Trophy: TP Industries Arms Race

Purchase McKenzie Field Hangar and win the arms race.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Purchase McKenzie Field Hangar as Trevor and complete all of its Arms Trafficking missions. The hangar costs $150,000 and is only available to Trevor. After purchasing it, you will gain access to two mission types: 5 Air Trafficking missions using the plane 5 Ground Trafficking missions using the buggy Complete all 10 missions and the trophy will unlock.

Tip

These missions can be tackled gradually, so there is no need to complete all 10 in one sitting.

Warning

This trophy can become missable depending on your choice during the final story mission. Choose Option C: The Third Way to keep Trevor available for cleanup afterward. Trevor buying an airfield and immediately turning it into an arms-trafficking business may be the least surprising thing he does all game.

Trophy: Wanted: Alive or Alive

Deliver a bail bond target alive.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Deliver a Bail Bond target to Maude alive. Bail Bond missions are available only while playing as Trevor. The first target is a good opportunity to earn this trophy. Approach carefully and use the Stun Gun if possible so you can subdue him without killing him. If he escapes in a vehicle, chase him down and ram his car until he gives up. Once he surrenders, take him back to Maude alive. If you accidentally kill the first target, there are still 3 more Bail Bond targets available: The second is near a barn with several gang members. The third is located on Mount Chiliad. The fourth is near a homeless shelter in the southern part of the map.

Tip

Use the Stun Gun or carefully damage the target’s vehicle rather than using lethal weapons.

Warning

This trophy can become missable depending on your final story choice. Choose Option C: The Third Way so Trevor remains available for cleanup. Maude said bring them in alive. Trevor has been given clearer instructions for a reason.

Trophy: Waste Management

Purchase the old dock and collect all nuclear waste.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Purchase the Sonar Collections Dock as Michael, then collect all 30 pieces of Nuclear Waste. The Sonar Collections Dock costs $250,000. After buying it, submarines become available. Enter a submarine and use the Trackify app to locate the Nuclear Waste scattered around the coastline. There are 30 pieces in total. For the safest method, collect them while using the submarine.

Tip

You can move the submarine around with a Cargobob to cut down on travel time. You can either buy a Cargobob from Warstock Cache & Carry for $2,200,000, or use the mission Cargobob to store one at Trevor’s helipad by landing there instead of completing the mission normally.

Warning

This trophy can become missable depending on your final story choice. Choose Option C: The Third Way so Michael remains available for cleanup. Some players have reported problems when collecting the waste without using the submarine, so stick with the submarine for the safest route. Nothing says environmental responsibility like spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to fish radioactive garbage out of the ocean.

Trophy: Above the Law

GTA Online: Reach Rank 100.

Type: Gold

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Reach Rank 100 in GTA Online. You need a total of 1,583,380 RP to reach Rank 100. You will earn RP from almost everything you do Online, including: Jobs Races Survivals Hobbies and activities Combat Even failed Jobs award some RP, so progress is rarely completely wasted. Playing Jobs with a team can give a 20% RP bonus. Playing with members of your Crew can give an additional 10% bonus. Playing Jobs on Hard difficulty can award 50% more RP. Races and Survivals can also provide strong RP rewards, especially when you perform well. Headshots award additional RP during combat.

Tip

Work toward Numero Uno, Unnatural Selection, Decorated, Stick Up Kid, and the other Online trophies while ranking up. There is a huge amount of overlap. Take advantage of Double RP or other bonus events whenever they are active.

Warning

This is one of the longest Online grinds for the Platinum, so avoid leaving it until everything else is finished. Rank 100 is less of a trophy and more of Rockstar checking whether you have officially moved into Los Santos.

GTA Online: Own an Apartment, Garage and an Insured Vehicle

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Own an Apartment, a Garage, and an Insured Vehicle in GTA Online. You should receive an Insured Vehicle during the GTA Online tutorial. After that, purchase an Apartment and a Garage. You can save money by buying an Apartment that already includes a Garage. One inexpensive option is: 0112 S Rockford Dr, Apt 13 Price: $80,000 This property includes a Garage, so once you own it along with your Insured Vehicle, the trophy should unlock.

Tip

Buy a property with an included Garage instead of purchasing both separately. You now own property, a garage, and an insured car. In Los Santos, this apparently qualifies as achieving the American Dream.

Trophy: Backseat Driver

GTA Online: Direct a driver to 1st place as co-driver in Rally Mode.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Win a Rally Race while playing as the co-driver. Host or join a Rally Race and make sure you are assigned as the co-driver. The driver cannot see the checkpoints normally, so it is your job to guide them. Use the D-pad to indicate when they should turn left or right. Your team must finish in 1st place for the trophy to unlock.

Tip

Do this with a friend and communicate through voice chat if possible. It makes the entire thing dramatically easier.

Warning

You must be the co-driver, not the driver. This trophy asks you to sit in the passenger seat, give directions, and somehow avoid destroying the friendship before the finish line.

Trophy: Clean Sweep

GTA Online: Finish a Gang Attack without dying and kill at least 10 enemies.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Complete a Gang Attack without dying and personally kill at least 10 enemies. Gang Attacks unlock at Rank 18 and can appear around the map while you are in GTA Online. When you find one, enter the marked area to start the encounter. Take your time, use cover, and make sure you personally get at least 10 kills before the Gang Attack is finished. You must survive the entire encounter without dying.

Tip

Play carefully and avoid rushing into the middle of the fight. Cover is far more useful than trying to look impressive.

Warning

Just because there are no red enemy markers visible does not mean the area is clear. Some enemies may still be hiding nearby. Ten kills. Zero deaths. For once, GTA Online is asking you to behave like your character actually values staying alive.

Trophy: Decorated

GTA Online: Earn 30 Platinum Awards.

Type: Silver

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Earn 30 Platinum Awards in GTA Online. There are a lot of Platinum Awards available, and you only need 30 of them, so the best approach is to focus on the ones that are realistic, repeatable, or overlap with other trophies rather than trying to complete everything. Good Platinum Awards to target include: The Slayer — Win 25 Deathmatches Death Brigade — Win 25 Team Deathmatches Team Carrier — Get the highest score in 25 Team Deathmatches The Aviator — Win 25 Air Races Making Waves — Win 25 Sea Races Road Rage — Kill 3 racers and win a GTA Race Follow to a Tee — Win 20 Rally Races as the driver The Dictator — Win 20 Rally Races as the co-driver Impromptu Champion — Win 25 Impromptu Races In a class of your own — Win a race in a custom vehicle Penetrate from Behind — Go from last place to 1st in 25 races Dust Maker — Set the fastest lap in 25 races Every Race — Win every race type Survivor — Complete all 10 waves of a Survival Over the Top — Win 25 Arm Wrestling matches Throwback King — Win at Darts 25 times The Swing King — Win at Golf 25 times Stroke Master — Win at Tennis 25 times Out of Five — Win a 5-set Tennis match Straight Sets — Win a Tennis match in straight sets Crack Shot — Win 25 Target Grid matches Duck and Cover — Win 25 Cover Target matches Granny — Win a Target Grid match by total domination The Marksman — Win 25 Random Target matches All Rounder — Win every game mode War Pig — Participate in 25 different Deathmatches Veteran Racer — Participate in 25 different Races Checking Out — Win at Darts using only 6 darts The Hustler — Win $50,000 through betting Lapping It Up — Get 25 private lap dances Snappy Dresser — Buy 25 different outfits Hairy Encounters — Change your haircut 25 times The Human Canvas — Get a tattoo on every body part Armed Robber — Hold up all 20 shops No Claims Bonus — Drive for 30 minutes without taking damage Suped Up — Apply every type of modification to a vehicle Unirider — Perform a 2,000-foot continuous wheelie Killstreaker — Get a 10+ kill streak in a Deathmatch Smoke 'Em Out — Get the most kills during a Gang Attack Bloodiest of the Bunch — Get the most kills in a 4-player Survival

Tip

Prioritize Awards that overlap with other trophies. Survivor overlaps with Unnatural Selection, Armed Robber overlaps with Stick Up Kid, All Rounder overlaps with Numero Uno, and In a class of your own helps alongside race-related trophies. A friend or boosting partner can make several of the competitive Awards much faster, especially Rally Races, Tennis, Darts, Arm Wrestling, and Deathmatches.

Warning

Avoid wasting time on the really brutal Awards unless you already have progress toward them. Things like holding a world record, spending hours parachuting, killing huge numbers of players with specific weapons, or stealing hundreds of vehicles are much worse uses of your time. Thirty Platinum Awards sounds like Rockstar asking you to master GTA Online. In reality, it is more like finding 30 pieces of content that annoy you the least and squeezing every last award out of them.

Trophy: Dialling Digits

GTA Online: Call for a Backup Helicopter for the first time.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Call for gang backup for the first time in GTA Online. Backup becomes available after reaching Rank 20. After you unlock the service, Merryweather will contact you and let you know that backup can now be requested. Open your phone, go to Contacts, call Merryweather, and choose Backup Helicopter. Once the backup is called in, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

This is quick and easy once you reach Rank 20, so knock it out as soon as the option becomes available. Apparently the solution to most problems in GTA Online is just knowing the right person to call.

Trophy: Enjoy Your Stay

GTA Online: Participate in everything Los Santos has to offer.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Participate in all of the required GTA Online activities. You need to do the following: Get a Private Dance at the Strip Club Buy Clothes Get a Tattoo Get a Haircut Play Tennis Play at least one hole of Golf Play a Shooting Range Challenge Complete at least one round of Arm Wrestling Hold up a Store Play at least one leg of Darts You do not need to win most of these activities. Simply participating is enough unless the activity itself requires completion. Golf, Darts, and the Shooting Range can be done solo. Tennis and Arm Wrestling are much easier to arrange with a friend.

Tip

Leave the Tattoo requirement until last.

Warning

This trophy can be buggy. If it does not unlock after completing everything, buy additional tattoos and make sure at least one is applied to the torso. You came to Los Santos to become a criminal mastermind. Apparently that also requires golf, darts, a haircut, and a lap dance. Very well-rounded.

Trophy: Full Refund

GTA Online: Kill the thief that mugged you.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Kill the mugger who steals from you in GTA Online. You need another player who is Rank 50 or higher to send a mugger after you through Lester. The easiest method is to have a friend do this. Stand still somewhere safe and wait for the mugger to arrive. The mugger will knock you down and steal some of your money. As soon as you get back up, chase them down and kill them. The trophy will unlock once you kill the same mugger who robbed you.

Tip

Do this with a friend in a quiet session so you are not dealing with random players while trying to set it up.

Warning

The mugger needs to successfully steal from you first. Do not kill them before the robbery happens. You wanted a refund. Los Santos customer service suggested murder.

Trophy: Making Moves

GTA Online: Reach Rank 50.

Type: Silver

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Reach Rank 50 in GTA Online. You need a total of 448,800 RP to reach Rank 50. Keep completing Jobs, races, Survivals, and other activities to build RP. You can earn bonus RP by: Playing Jobs with a team Playing with members of your Crew Completing Jobs on Hard difficulty Scoring headshots during combat Taking advantage of bonus RP events when available

Tip

Do not grind this trophy by itself. Work on the other GTA Online trophies at the same time and the RP will build naturally. Rank 50. At this point, you have officially spent enough time in Los Santos to know that every quiet street is probably five seconds away from becoming a war zone.

Making Moves PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: Numero Uno

GTA Online: Obtain first place in all competitive game types.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Finish in 1st place across all required competitive GTA Online activity types. You will need to complete the following: Win a Deathmatch Win a Team Deathmatch Complete all 10 waves of a Survival Win an Air Race Win a Sea Race Win a GTA Race Win a Rally Race Win a Standard Race Win at least one set of Tennis Win at least one round of Arm Wrestling Win at least one hole of Golf Win at least one leg of Darts Win a Shooting Range Challenge Win a Parachuting Race Complete a Gang Attack For Deathmatches and races, playing with only one other person can make the requirement much easier. For Tennis, using a friend is highly recommended because random players may quit if they start losing. For Arm Wrestling, move the left stick rapidly left and right. Higher Strength can make this easier. For Golf, focus on getting onto the green cleanly, then finish the hole with controlled putting. For Darts, work your score down from 301 and make sure your final throw lands on a double. For Parachuting Races, practice with normal Parachute Jumps first so you are comfortable with landing.

Tip

Boosting this with a friend will save a huge amount of time, especially for Tennis, Rally Races, and the less-populated competitive modes. You can combine Survival with Unnatural Selection and Gang Attacks with Clean Sweep while working on this.

Warning

Do not assume simply participating counts. You need the required win or completion condition for each activity type. You are not done until GTA Online has forced you to prove you are good at shooting, racing, flying, boating, tennis, golf, darts, parachuting, arm wrestling, and somehow still functioning as a human being.

Trophy: Run Like The Wind

GTA Online: Survive with a Bounty on your head.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Survive long enough with an active Bounty on your head in GTA Online. Once another player or NPC places a Bounty on you, the safest method is to head into one of your owned properties and stay there until the Bounty timer expires. This can take quite a while, sometimes around 50 minutes or more. Once you successfully outlast the Bounty, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

Stay inside your apartment or another safe property instead of trying to survive in public free roam.

Warning

Do not remain completely idle for too long or you may be kicked from the session. Nothing raises your heart rate like having a price on your head. Nothing lowers it quite like hiding in your apartment for nearly an hour.

Trophy: Stick Up Kid

GTA Online: Hold up all 20 Stores.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Hold up all 20 stores in GTA Online. The store locations are marked on the map. When you successfully rob one, its icon will show a check mark so you can keep track of which ones are finished. Enter the store, aim a weapon at the clerk, and wait for them to empty the register. If the clerk is killed, you can still collect the money directly from the cash register. Expect a 3- or 4-star Wanted Level after most robberies, so have a getaway vehicle ready before you start.

Tip

Wear a mask before entering. Clerks can recognize you on later visits, which can make things messier.

Warning

If you die during the robbery, that store’s icon may disappear temporarily and return later. Twenty stores later, Los Santos convenience stores will know your face better than your own family.

Trophy: The Midnight Club

GTA Online: Use custom vehicles to win 5 races.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Win 5 GTA Online races while using a custom vehicle. First, get a vehicle you own and make sure it has a tracker so it can be selected as a personal/custom vehicle in races. Then enter races that match your vehicle’s class and choose your custom vehicle before starting. Win a total of 5 races this way. A simple option is to use the Criminal Records race because it is short and easy to repeat.

Tip

Doing this with a friend can make the 5 wins much faster and removes a lot of random matchmaking nonsense. Make sure you are actually using your custom vehicle each time or the win may not count. Five race wins later, your car has officially gone from “personal transportation” to “trophy delivery system.”

GTA Online: Reach Rank 25.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Reach Rank 25 in GTA Online. You need a total of 127,100 RP to reach Rank 25. RP is earned by completing Jobs, races, Survivals, activities, and other Online content. You still earn some RP even if you fail, so almost everything you do contributes toward your rank.

Tip

Play with other players when possible, since team-based Jobs can award more RP. This is the point where Los Santos stops treating you like a complete nobody. Now you are just a slightly more experienced nobody.

Trophy: Unnatural Selection

GTA Online: Complete all 10 waves of a Survival.

Type: Bronze

Category: Online

Unlock Details

Complete all 10 waves of a Survival in GTA Online. Survivals unlock at Rank 15, although you can also access one earlier if another player invites you. The Boneyard Survival is a good option and can even be completed solo. There is a useful container near the left side of the barn entrance that provides strong cover from most enemies. Helicopters can still be a problem, but they do not appear constantly. If you are struggling, bring other players to make the later waves much easier. After reaching Rank 20, you can also call Merryweather for additional help. Complete Wave 10 and the trophy will unlock.

Tip

This also counts toward the Survival requirement for Numero Uno. Ten waves. By Wave 8, it stops feeling like survival and starts feeling like the game has a personal issue with you.

Trophy: Close Shave

Complete all Under the Bridge and Knife Flight challenges.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Complete all 50 Under the Bridge challenges and all 15 Knife Flight challenges. These are available from the beginning of the game. For the Under the Bridge challenges, use a helicopter and carefully fly underneath each required bridge. For the Knife Flights, use a fast, agile jet. A military jet is one of the best choices because it gives you the speed and control needed to pass between buildings while flying sideways. You need to complete: 50 Under the Bridge challenges 15 Knife Flight challenges

Tip

Wait until you see the on-screen message confirming “Under the Bridge Completed” or “Knife Flight Completed” before moving on to the next location. Use a video guide and follow the locations in order. Missing one out of 65 total challenges is a very easy way to make yourself question your entire life. One minute you’re playing GTA. The next you’re threading a helicopter under bridges and flying a jet sideways between skyscrapers because a trophy told you to.

Collect and return all spaceship parts.

Collect all 50 Spaceship Parts and return them to Omega. This collectible chain is available to Franklin. First, meet Omega to begin the hunt. Then find all 50 Spaceship Parts scattered across Los Santos and Blaine County. Some are underwater, while others are positioned in places that are much easier or only possible to reach with an aircraft. Once all 50 have been collected, return to Omega to complete the activity and unlock the trophy.

Tip

Bring access to both an aircraft and something suitable for underwater exploration before doing a full cleanup run. Fifty alien spaceship parts later, you will finally get answers. Whether those answers justify driving across the entire state picking up glowing scrap is another question.

Trophy: Show Off

Complete all Stunt Jumps.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Complete all 50 Stunt Jumps. Stunt Jumps are available from the beginning of the game and can be attempted with any of the three protagonists. Each jump has a specific landing area you need to reach for it to count, so simply launching off the ramp is not enough. You need the right speed, angle, and vehicle to land successfully. Some jumps are much easier with certain cars or motorcycles, so if one is giving you trouble, switch vehicles rather than trying the same failed launch twenty times.

Tip

Franklin is the best character for many of these because his driving ability can help you line up difficult approaches and control your speed. Use a video guide and follow the same vehicle choice and approach when possible. It can save a lot of trial and error.

Warning

Do these in Story Mode for the safest trophy tracking. Even though Stunt Jumps also exist Online, Story Mode is the reliable route for this trophy. Fifty Stunt Jumps later, you will have answered the important question every GTA player eventually asks: “What if I hit this ramp at full speed?”

Open the in-game internet, go to Money and Services, then open the LCN stock market. Invest as much money as possible into a stock, then immediately sell it again. Repeat this process until your total spending reaches $200 million. The money spent on stocks counts toward the trophy, so you can keep cycling the same cash instead of actually wasting $200 million.

Tip

Doing this with a large post-story cash balance makes the grind extremely fast. You can also unlock Trading Pure Alpha while doing this if one of your stock sales makes a profit. This trophy sounds like Rockstar wants you to become financially irresponsible. Fortunately, they also let you recycle the same money like a professional criminal accountant.

Trophy: Career Criminal

Attain 100% Game Completion.

Type: Gold

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

Reach 100% Game Completion. Despite the name, you do not actually need to complete absolutely everything in GTA V. You only need the activities that count toward the in-game 100% checklist. The required completion is split across Story Missions, Strangers and Freaks, Random Events, Hobbies and Pastimes, and Miscellaneous activities. Story: Complete all 69 Story Missions. Complete all 5 of Lester’s assassination missions for Franklin. This contributes 50% toward total completion. Strangers and Freaks: Complete the following required missions. Tonia: Pulling Favors Pulling Another Favor Pulling Favors Again Still Pulling Favors Pulling One Last Favor Hao: Shift Work Barry: Grass Roots - The Pickup Grass Roots - The Drag Grass Roots - The Smoke-In Omega: Far Out The Final Frontier The Final Frontier becomes available after collecting all 50 Spaceship Parts. Fanatic: Exercising Demons - Franklin Beverley: Paparazzo Paparazzo - The Sex Tape Paparazzo - The Highness Paparazzo - The Meltdown Paparazzo - Reality Check Dom: Risk Assessment Liquidity Risk Targeted Risk Uncalculated Risk Uncalculated Risk becomes available after completing all 13 Parachute Jumps. Dreyfuss: A Starlet in Vinewood This becomes available after collecting all 50 Letter Scraps. These contribute 20% toward total completion. Random Events: Complete any 14 Random Events. These contribute 15% toward total completion. Hobbies and Pastimes: Complete the following requirements: Earn at least Bronze in all 18 Shooting Range challenges. Finish at least 3rd in all 5 Street Races. Finish at least 3rd in all 6 Offroad Races. Finish at least 3rd in all 4 Sea Races. Finish at least 3rd in all 3 Triathlons. Win a game of Tennis. Finish Golf at Even Par or better. Win a game of Darts. Earn at least Bronze in all 12 Flight School lessons. Complete all 13 Parachute Jumps. Get a private lap dance at the Strip Club. These contribute 10% toward total completion. Miscellaneous: Complete the following: Collect all 50 Spaceship Parts. Collect all 50 Letter Scraps. Complete 25 of the 50 Under the Bridge challenges. Complete 7 of the 15 Knife Flights. Complete 25 of the 50 Stunt Jumps. Buy a vehicle online. Complete a Booty Call. Buy 5 properties that generate income. Pay for a prostitute service. Watch a movie at the cinema. Take Chop for a walk and play with him. Rob a store. With a Story Mode friend, play Darts, visit a Bar, visit the Strip Club, and visit the cinema. These contribute 15% toward total completion.

Tip

Do not treat this as one enormous checklist from the beginning. Finish the story first, then clean up each category one at a time while checking your 100% progress. Several requirements overlap with other trophies, especially the Spaceship Parts, Letter Scraps, Parachute Jumps, Stunt Jumps, Under the Bridge challenges, and Knife Flights. Work on those trophy requirements first and Career Criminal will naturally move along with them.

Warning

Only specific Strangers and Freaks missions count toward 100%, so you do not need to complete every side mission in the game. This is less “complete everything in Los Santos” and more “complete the very specific list Rockstar has decided represents a healthy criminal lifestyle.”

Trophy: Solid Gold, Baby!

Earn any 70 Gold Medals on Missions, Strangers and Freaks.

Type: Gold

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

Earn 70 Gold Medals across Story Missions and Strangers and Freaks missions. There are 116 eligible missions in the game, so you have plenty of options and do not need to earn Gold on everything. Each mission has a set of Gold Medal requirements that need to be completed. Most objectives can be completed across separate replays and will stack toward the same Gold Medal. If one requirement is difficult because your character stats are still low, move on and come back later after improving them.

Tip

Strangers and Freaks missions are often easier Gold Medal targets, so use those to reduce the amount of harder story missions you need.

Warning

The five Rampage missions are an exception and their Gold Medal requirements do not stack across separate attempts. Seventy Gold Medals sounds intimidating. Then you realize Rockstar gave you 116 chances and basically said, “Fine, pick the ones you hate the least.”

Trophy: A New Perspective

You played GTA V in first person mode for 15 hours.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Play GTA V in first-person mode for a total of 15 hours. You do not need to complete the 15 hours in one session. The game tracks your total time spent using first-person mode. You can work on this during Story Mode, GTA Online, missions, free roam, or while doing other trophy cleanup. The easiest way is to switch into first-person whenever you are doing normal activities and let the time build naturally rather than leaving it until the very end.

Trophy: All's Fare in Love and War

Purchase Downtown Cab Co. and complete a private fare.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Purchase the Downtown Cab Co. as Franklin, then complete one of its private fares. The Downtown Cab Co. costs $200,000 and can only be purchased by Franklin. After buying the property, continue playing until the manager calls you with a private fare. Accept the job and complete it successfully. The trophy will unlock once the private fare is finished.

Tip

You do not need to use a taxi for the private fare.

Warning

Normal taxi fares do not count. It specifically needs to be one of the private fares offered after buying Downtown Cab Co. Spend $200,000 on a taxi company. Immediately become an unpaid driver. Business ownership in Los Santos is going well.

Trophy: Los Santos Customs

Fully mod a vehicle.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Fully modify a compatible vehicle at Los Santos Customs. Not every car works reliably for this trophy, so one easy option is Tracey’s car. Take it to Los Santos Customs and install upgrades across all the major modification categories. A working setup includes: Armor Upgrade 20% Street Brakes Sport Brakes Custom Front Splitter Custom Rear Bumper EMS Upgrade Level 1 Dual Exit Exhaust Vented Hood Truck Horn Xenon Lights Blue on White 2 Plate Primary Color: Chrome Secondary Color: Chrome Custom Skirts Lowered Suspension Street Transmission Turbo Tuning Wheel Type: SUV > Benefactor Wheel Color: Black Custom Tires Bulletproof Tires Black Tire Smoke Light Smoke Windows Once the vehicle has been fully modified, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

Use Tracey’s car if you want a reliable vehicle that is known to work for this trophy.

Warning

Some vehicles do not seem to register correctly, so if the trophy does not unlock after fully modifying another car, switch to Tracey’s car and try again. You started with a perfectly functional vehicle. You left Los Santos Customs with chrome paint, black tire smoke, a truck horn, and considerably less money. Exactly as intended.

Trophy: Multi-Disciplined

Attain a gold medal in all applicable hobbies and pastimes.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Earn a Gold Medal in each applicable Hobby and Pastime category. You only need one qualifying Gold result in each of the following: Flight School Lessons Offroad Races Street Races Sea Races Triathlons Shooting Range challenges For Flight School, earn Gold in any lesson. The parachute-based lessons are generally easier than the helicopter ones. For Offroad and Street Races, finish 1st in any race. Franklin’s special driving ability can make both much easier. For Sea Races, finish 1st in any race. The AI tends to follow predictable routes, so taking cleaner lines and shortcuts can help. For Triathlons, finish 1st in any event. Keep your stamina up, use shortcuts where practical, and stay steady through the cycling section. For Shooting Ranges, earn Gold in any challenge. Pick whichever weapon type you are most comfortable with.

Tip

You do not need Gold in every activity, just one qualifying Gold result from each category. Franklin can help with the racing sections thanks to his driving ability, which makes this trophy far less intimidating than it first sounds. Apparently being a successful criminal also requires being good at flying, racing, swimming, cycling, and target shooting. Los Santos has a very demanding résumé.

Trophy: Out of Your Depth

You're gonna need a bigger boat...

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Get eaten by a Great White Shark. Take a boat or aircraft and travel far out into the ocean away from Los Santos. Eventually, your vehicle will stop working and you will end up in the water. Stay in the ocean long enough for a Great White Shark to appear and attack you. Once the shark kills you, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

Using an aircraft or fast boat makes reaching deep water much quicker. For once, the game actively rewards you for becoming lunch.

Trophy: Pimp My Sidearm

Fully mod a weapon.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Fully modify a weapon. Head to any Ammu-Nation and choose a weapon that supports multiple upgrades. The standard Pistol is an easy choice. Purchase every available modification for it until the weapon is fully upgraded. Once all available mods have been installed, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

The Pistol is one of the cheapest options, making it a good choice if you want to unlock this early without spending much money. You came in for ammunition. You left after turning a basic handgun into something that apparently needed a full accessories catalog.

Trophy: Red Mist

Complete all Rampages.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Complete all 5 Rampages as Trevor. Rampages are exclusive to Trevor. The first Rampage is introduced through a Strangers and Freaks mission, and the remaining ones can be completed afterward as they become available. Finish all 5 Rampages and the trophy will unlock.

Tip

Trevor’s special ability is extremely useful during Rampages, especially when enemies start arriving in large numbers.

Warning

This can become missable depending on your final story choice. Choose Option C: The Third Way so Trevor remains available afterward. Five Rampages. For Trevor, that is less of a trophy requirement and more of a normal Tuesday.

Trophy: San Andreas Sightseer

Explore all of Los Santos and Blaine County

Type: Silver

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Reveal at least 95% of the map. The easiest way to do this is to use a helicopter or jet and fly across any parts of Los Santos and Blaine County that are still covered on your map. Trevor has access to a helicopter, and you can also steal a jet from the airport if you want to speed things up. The ocean also contributes toward map exploration, so make sure you reveal some of the coastline and nearby water as well.

Tip

Use the map to look for any large grey or unexplored areas, then fly directly over them.

Warning

Do not fly too far out into the ocean. If you go far enough away from Los Santos, your aircraft engine will eventually die. Apparently sightseeing in San Andreas means stealing an aircraft and aggressively revealing the map from above.

San Andreas Sightseer PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: Subversive

You stole an experimental super weapon from Merryweather... and gave it back.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Complete the story mission The Merryweather Heist. This is the second major heist and involves Michael, Franklin, and Trevor stealing an experimental weapon from Merryweather. You can complete the mission using either the Freight or Offshore approach. Either way, after going through all that effort to steal it, you ultimately end up giving the weapon back. The trophy unlocks automatically once the mission is complete.

Tip

Both approaches count, so choose whichever setup you prefer. Nothing captures the GTA experience quite like planning an enormous military heist, stealing a super weapon, and then being told to put it back.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Tip

You can work on this at the same time as A Lot of Cheddar by repeatedly buying and selling stocks. Congratulations. You have successfully proven that crime was not enough. You are now also an investor.

Trophy: A Fair Day's Pay

It's time for a little getaway.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Complete the story mission Caida Libre. This mission involves both Michael and Trevor and starts with Michael trying to bring down a plane from very far away. You’ll then switch to Trevor, who gets the much more reasonable job of chasing the crashing aircraft across the countryside on a motorcycle.

Tip

There is nothing missable here. Just follow the story objectives and enjoy one of GTA V’s more restrained business negotiations. Apparently “a fair day’s pay” in Los Santos involves shooting down a jet and chasing it through the desert on a dirt bike.

Trophy: A Friendship Resurrected

With friends like this who needs enemies?

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Complete the story mission Fame or Shame. This mission sees Michael and Trevor working together to stop Tracey from making a very questionable television appearance. Head to Maze Bank Arena, enter the venue, then chase down Lazlow when things inevitably go off the rails.

Tip

This is fully story-related, so there is nothing special you need to do. Nothing rebuilds an old friendship quite like publicly humiliating a television host together.

A Friendship Resurrected PlayStation trophy artwork

Trophy: Blitzed

You performed a classic blitz play.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Complete the story mission Blitz Play. This is the third major heist-style mission and once again uses Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. The job involves ambushing an armored truck, fighting through a heavy police response, and escaping before things get even worse. Complete the mission and the trophy will unlock automatically.

Tip

There is nothing missable here. Just continue through the story. Nothing subtle about this one. When the plan is literally called Blitz Play, you already know traffic laws are about to become optional.

Trophy: Diamond Hard

You cleaned out Vangelico to pay back Martin Madrazo.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Complete the story mission The Jewel Store Job. This is the first major heist in the game and involves Michael and Franklin robbing the Vangelico jewelry store. You can complete the heist using either the Loud or Smart approach. Both paths will unlock the trophy once the mission is finished.

Tip

There is nothing missable here. Pick whichever approach sounds more fun. Your first proper heist is complete. Surely this will be the last time everyone’s life gets dramatically worse because of money.

Trophy: Small Town, Big Job

You made a big impression at the Paleto Bay Chicken Festival.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Complete the story mission The Paleto Score. This is the fourth major heist and has Michael, Franklin, and Trevor robbing the bank in Paleto Bay before fighting their way through an enormous response. What starts as a small-town bank robbery turns into a full-scale battle involving police, military forces, and a very memorable escape through the chicken factory. Complete the mission and the trophy will unlock automatically.

Tip

There is nothing missable here. Just finish the story mission. Small town. Big job. Absolutely catastrophic noise complaint.

Trophy: The Big One!

This ain't no dream no more.

Complete the story mission The Big Score. This is the sixth and final major heist in the game and involves all three protagonists going after a massive haul of gold. You can complete the heist using either: Obvious approach Subtle approach Finish the mission and the trophy will unlock automatically.

Tip

Both approaches count, so pick the plan you like best. You have officially reached the point where robbing normal banks is apparently beneath you.

Complete the story mission The Bureau Raid. This is the fifth major heist and focuses on Michael and Franklin stealing sensitive files from the FIB. There are two possible approaches: Roof Covert Either approach will unlock the trophy once the mission is complete.

Tip

There is nothing missable here, so choose whichever approach you prefer. Breaking into a heavily defended federal building for sensitive information sounds extremely serious. Naturally, this is GTA, so it becomes complete chaos almost immediately.

Trophy: The Moment of Truth

You have uncovered the truth about Brad.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Complete the story mission Bury the Hatchet. This mission centers on Michael and Trevor finally confronting the truth about Brad and what really happened in North Yankton. The trophy unlocks automatically once the mission is complete.

Tip

There is nothing missable here. Just continue through the story. Things were already awkward between Michael and Trevor. This does not help.

Trophy: To Live or Die in Los Santos

Completed the final mission.

Type: Silver

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Complete the final story mission. The exact mission depends on the choice you make at the end of the game: The Third Way Something Sensible The Time's Come For the cleanest trophy path, choose Option C: The Third Way. This keeps Michael, Franklin, and Trevor available and avoids creating problems for other trophies that may still need those characters. Complete the final mission and the trophy will unlock.

Warning

Choose Option C: The Third Way if you still have other single-player trophies to clean up. After everything these three have been through, the least you can do is avoid making the ending even more complicated than it already is.
