Roadmap

EARLY GAME

The opening hours are all about learning how Lords of the Fallen actually works, especially the Axiom and Umbral systems. You’ll die early, you’ll get sent to Umbral, and that’s completely intended. Take your time here and get comfortable with your lamp, blocking, dodging, and dealing with parasites, because these mechanics carry the entire game.

Focus on exploring everything instead of rushing forward. Early areas are packed with shortcuts, upgrade materials, and NPCs that start important questlines. If something looks like a dead end, try stepping into Umbral. Also keep an eye out for Stigmas and early collectibles so you don’t create extra work later.

This is also a good time to experiment with weapons and builds. Don’t stress about perfection yet. Just find something that feels good. And if something feels confusing, this is exactly where you’d pause and Ask Gami before it turns into frustration.

MID GAME

This is where the game opens up and starts connecting in interesting ways. You’ll revisit areas, unlock shortcuts, and start seeing how everything links together. Your build starts to matter more here, so begin committing to a playstyle and upgrading your main weapon regularly.

You’ll also start working toward a lot of collectible-related trophies without even realizing it. Weapons, armor, spells, and accessories are everywhere, but some are tied to quests. This is where missables can start creeping in, especially NPC quests and certain boss-related outcomes, so don’t ignore characters you meet along the way.

Multiplayer trophies can also be chipped away at here if you want to break things up. Helping or invading players can speed things up later. If anything feels overwhelming, just remember you can tackle most things later.

LATE GAME

Now you’re heading into the final stretch, and this is where preparation really pays off. Your build should be fully online, your weapon upgraded, and your healing maxed out or close to it. Enemies hit harder, bosses get more complex, and mistakes get punished faster.

Be very mindful of ending-related decisions here. There are multiple endings, and they directly tie into trophies. If you’re going for platinum, you’ll need multiple playthroughs anyway, so don’t stress too much. Just make sure you’re aware of what path you’re on so you don’t accidentally lock yourself out of something important.

This is also a good time to wrap up any major questlines you’ve been following. Some of them can fail if you push too far forward, so if something feels unfinished, it probably is. When in doubt, pause, check, or Ask Gami before committing.

TROPHY CLEANUP AND EXTRA TIPS

After your first playthrough, most of your remaining trophies will be collectibles, alternate endings, and anything tied to quests you missed. The good news is that New Game Plus makes this much smoother, especially since you keep your gear and progression.

Expect to go through the game multiple times for the platinum, mainly for endings and full collection trophies. Try to combine objectives each run so you’re not doing unnecessary extra playthroughs. Trading items with other players can also speed things up for certain collectibles.

If something feels like a grind, take a step back and pace it out. You don’t need to rush this game. Lords of the Fallen is at its best when you take your time, explore, and figure things out naturally. And if you hit a wall, you already know the move. Ask Gami.
