The safest way to approach this is to play on Observer difficulty to make QTEs easier and always succeed them unless specifically noted. Throughout the game, always fight off Frank Stone using the camera when given the option, as failing these moments often leads to character deaths. In Chapter 5, choose Flee near the end to prevent Jaime from dying. In Chapter 8 while playing as Linda, choose the Diary instead of the Pouch so Sam keeps access to his gun later. In Chapter 10 as Chris, choose Hopeful and successfully complete all QTEs to send her back to 1980 safely, which also avoids an earlier death opportunity for Stan. Keeping Stan alive up to Chapter 14 is important because Frank Stone will always absorb someone, and if Stan is alive he will be taken instead of a playable character. In Chapter 12 as Madi, do not keep the pendant, as wearing it guarantees her death later. Either leave it behind or give it to someone else by choosing Indifferent. In Chapter 14, select Accuse Augustine, fail the following QTE, then choose Back Away. Later while playing as Linda, choose to Help Madi. When controlling Madi after reuniting with Sam, choose Furious and then Flee. At the start of Chapter 14 when Frank Stone emerges, make sure Stan is alive and intentionally fail the button mash QTE so Frank Stone takes him instead of one of your main characters. From there, continue to successfully complete all remaining QTEs and make safe, non-aggressive choices when possible. If everything is done correctly, all five playable characters will survive through the ending and the trophy will unlock after the credits.

You do not need to use every possible death, only ensure that each character dies at least once before the ending. In Chapter 5, Jaime can die if you confront Frank Stone without having the firecrackers, resulting in him being killed while trying to save Chris. Alternatively, he can die later in Chapter 13 if you fail to fend off Frank Stone while he is hooked. For Madi, she can die in Chapter 8 by failing the button mash QTE during the horologium sequence, or later in Chapter 14 during the chase if you make the wrong choices or fail to escape. Chris has multiple outcomes, including a failed return to 1980 in Chapter 10, being killed in Chapter 13 if you fail to protect her, or dying in Chapter 14 if she interacts with the mirror after specific earlier choices. Sam can die in Chapter 13 if you fail to defend yourself against Frank Stone in the storm drain, or in Chapter 14 if you fail QTEs while trying to save others. Linda can die in Chapter 13 if you fail the final camera sequence, or in Chapter 14 depending on whether you abandon Madi or fail during the chase. You need to repair all three generators found in Chapters 5, 7, and 14. The Chapter 5 generator is part of the story and cannot be missed, but the other two require careful play. In Chapter 7, make sure you are not caught by Frank Stone while escaping as Linda or you will miss the chance to repair it. In Chapter 14, repair the generator quickly before Frank Stone interrupts and kills the character. All required parts are located near each generator, so search the immediate area before starting repairs. If you miss any, you can replay specific chapters later using the Cutting Room Floor.

If you fall short, you can immediately retry as many times as needed until you hit the required score and unlock the trophy.

Unlock Details
This unlocks during Chapter 8 the first time you successfully use the camera to fend off Frank Stone. When he begins chasing you, aim using L2 and the right stick, then hold R2 to activate the camera and keep it focused on him. You will occasionally need to tap Square to reload while continuing to hold R2 to maintain pressure. As long as you successfully repel him during this sequence, the trophy will unlock and cannot be missed.

Unlock Details
This unlocks in Chapter 2 during Madi’s driving sequence. After the dream sequence transitions to her on the road, you will encounter a hitchhiker trying to flag you down. Choose to stop and pick them up when prompted. This character is Linda, and agreeing to help her immediately unlocks the trophy. This decision is also important for later progression, as skipping her will prevent you from unlocking other trophies tied to her presence later in the story.

Unlock Details
This unlocks in Chapter 6 as part of story progression while solving the gate puzzle with Madi, Linda, and Stan. After gaining access upstairs, head to the far right to find a key on a cart. Return to the lower level and use it on the locked cabinet across from the stairs. Then go down to the bottom level, pick up the tree object from a dresser, and use it to open the cabinet and obtain a small hammer. Use the hammer on the hillbilly statue near the locked door to retrieve the missing cylinder. Insert it into the puzzle and enter the correct combination with House on the left, Tree in the middle, and Hammer on the right to complete the puzzle and unlock the trophy.

Unlock Details
This unlocks at the end of Chapter 1 as long as you successfully complete all QTEs during the confrontation with Frank Stone. As Sam approaches the ramp and the encounter begins, you need to pass every input sequence without failing. These include timed presses where you hit the button as the indicator reaches the target zone, aiming segments using the right stick followed by R2 to strike Frank, and rapid button presses when prompted. Stay focused during the sequence where Sam is grabbed, pinned, and eventually reaches for the gun. If you succeed through the entire chain, Sam will shoot Frank Stone before he can kill the baby and the trophy will unlock. Setting the difficulty to Observer makes these sequences much more forgiving and is recommended if you want to guarantee success on your first run.

Unlock Details
This unlocks automatically after finishing the game. Simply complete all 14 chapters and reach the final campfire scene at the end. Once the story concludes and the ending sequence finishes, the trophy will pop.
Roadmap
Early Game
The opening chapters ease you into the game with exploration, dialogue choices, and your first real skill checks. Take your time here. Look around, interact with everything, and get used to how the camera mechanic works since it becomes your lifeline later. This is also where the game quietly starts tracking your decisions, so even small choices can come back later.
You will start finding trinkets, relics, and artifacts early on. Grab everything you see so you do not have to backtrack later. Nothing here is overly punishing yet, but missing early collectibles can turn into cleanup headaches later.
Stay sharp on skill checks right from the start. They are forgiving now, but this is basically your training phase. If something feels important, it probably is.
Mid Game
This is where things start opening up and your choices begin to carry real weight. You will move between timelines, explore larger areas, and start dealing with more frequent threats. The camera becomes essential, and knowing when to use it quickly can be the difference between life and death.
Focus on full exploration in every area before progressing. Many collectibles are tucked slightly off the main path, and some are tied to specific decisions or routes. If you are going for completion, this is a good time to stay consistent and methodical.
Character relationships also start to matter more here. Dialogue choices, who you trust, and how you handle situations will influence future scenes. If something feels like a big decision, it usually is.
Late Game
The final chapters ramp everything up. Skill checks become faster, encounters are more intense, and mistakes are punished immediately. There is very little room for hesitation, so stay focused and be ready for back to back inputs.
This is also where earlier choices fully pay off. Who is alive, what items you collected, and how you handled key moments all shape how these chapters play out. There are multiple branching outcomes, so do not stress if things go wrong. That is part of the experience.
If you are aiming for the best outcomes, prioritize quick reactions, consistent camera use, and choosing survival over risky decisions. When in doubt, staying alive is always the better move.
Trophy Cleanup and Extra Tips
Most collectibles should be gathered during your main playthrough if you explored properly, but anything missed can be cleaned up through chapter replay. Trinkets, relics, and artifacts are the main focus here, along with seeing different outcomes for key decisions.
Some trophies require different choices or letting certain events play out differently, so expect at least a second run if you want everything. The good news is the game is designed for replayability, so you can experiment without starting completely from scratch.
