Platinum Path
EARLY GAME If you're comfortable with The Witcher 3's combat, start on Death March! so you can earn all three difficulty trophies in one playthrough. This is the most efficient Platinum route, and with a focused Platinum walkthrough the game can be much faster and easier than older 100+ hour estimates suggest. Death March is toughest early when Geralt is underleveled and poorly equipped. Food and other healing items...

The Witcher 3: GOTY Platinum Trophy Guide 00 / Preview (WORKS WITH 2022 UPDATE)
Trophy: The Limits of the Possible
Collect all trophies.
Type: Platinum
Unlock Details
Collect all trophies.

Trophy: Assassin of Kings
Take part in the assassination of King Radovid.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Complete the assassination subplot involving King Radovid. This trophy requires several connected side quests, and some of them must be finished before progressing too far into the main story. Complete the following quests as they become available: Redania's Most Wanted Available after completing Get Junior. An Eye for an Eye Available after Redania's Most Wanted and the main quest A Poet Under Pressure. A Matter of Life and Death Complete this before progressing too far through Triss' storyline. Now or Never Complete Triss' quest line. If you are also working toward Full Crew, make sure Triss is sent to Kaer Morhen. After finishing this subplot, Dijkstra will lead you into the assassination quest line. Complete: A Deadly Plot This must be completed before Final Preparations becomes available. Blindingly Obvious This occurs during Final Preparations. When speaking during the key decisions after finding Philippa, choose the first dialogue option each time to keep the assassination path open. Reason of State If you handled the previous quests and dialogue correctly, this quest will become available. Complete Reason of State and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Do these side quests as soon as they appear rather than leaving them sitting in the quest log. This is one of those trophy chains where "I'll come back later" can become "well, there goes another playthrough."
Warning
Progressing too far into the Isle of Mists and later main story sections without completing the required setup quests can lock you out of this trophy. The Witcher 3 starts with monster contracts and eventually has Geralt helping organize a royal assassination. Career progression is strange on the Continent.

Trophy: Even Odds
Kill 2 monsters you have a contract on without using Signs, potions, mutagens, oils or bombs.
Type: Silver
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Kill 2 monsters from Witcher Contracts without using Signs, potions, mutagens, oils, or bombs. This trophy must be completed while working through Witcher Contracts, so plan for it before finishing them all. Good contracts to use include: Shrieker Patrol Gone Missing Dragon The easiest method is to lower the difficulty, pick two straightforward contracts, and fight the target using only your sword and basic movement. Do not use Signs. Do not use potions. Do not use oils. Do not use bombs. Most importantly, remove every equipped mutagen before starting the contract fight. Once you defeat 2 contract monsters while following all of those restrictions, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Make a manual save before each contract attempt. If you accidentally use something prohibited, reload and try again.
Warning
Empty your mutagen slots before the fight. This is an easy requirement to forget, and leaving one equipped can ruin the attempt. For once, Geralt has to fight like a normal person. No magic, no potions, no oils, no bombs. Just a sword and several questionable life choices.

Trophy: Fast and Furious
Win all the horse races in the game.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Win all 11 horse races in the base game. Some races are missable and cannot be replayed if lost, so make a manual save before each one. Velen: There are 3 races at Crow's Perch. Speak to the same race organizer and beat all three opponents. Warning: Finish these before progressing to the Isle of Mists. Novigrad: There are 3 races at the Vegelbud Residence. Speak to the race organizer and complete all three. There is 1 additional race at Hierarch Square. Skellige: Rannvaig Fayrlund Blandare/Palisade Larvik Win all four races and the trophy will unlock once the full set of 11 is complete.
Tip
Upgrade Roach's saddle when you can. More stamina gives you more room to recover from bad corners or aggressive opponents.
Warning
Save before every race. Some can be permanently lost if you fail them. Geralt may be one of the greatest witchers alive, but for this trophy the real hero is Roach — assuming she is not standing on a roof somewhere.

Trophy: Friends With Benefits
Complete the subplot involving Keira Metz.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Complete Keira Metz's subplot. To unlock Keira's full quest line, first progress through her earlier quests: Hunting a Witch Wandering in the Dark Magic Lamp Magic Lamp can be skipped or failed and you can still earn this trophy. Afterward, complete: An Invitation from Keira Metz A Towerful of Mice A Favor for a Friend For the Advancement of Learning During For the Advancement of Learning, send Keira to Kaer Morhen. This is important if you are also going for Full Crew. The trophy will unlock once Keira's subplot is completed.
Tip
Do Keira's quests as soon as they become available. They are fairly short, give useful rewards, and knock out one of the game's important missable chains early.
Warning
Make sure Keira survives the quest line and goes to Kaer Morhen if you want Full Crew. Geralt came looking for information and somehow ended up doing errands, attending dinner, and sorting out Keira's life choices. Standard Witcher business.

Trophy: Full Crew
Bring all possible allies to Kaer Morhen for the battle against the Hunt.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Bring all required allies to Kaer Morhen for the battle against the Wild Hunt. This trophy requires 7 key allies to be recruited before the battle. Several of them depend on side quests you can miss, so this is one of the trophies worth planning around early. Keira Metz: Complete her subplot and send her to Kaer Morhen during For the Advancement of Learning. Triss Merigold: Complete her subplot and make sure she is available for Kaer Morhen. Roche: Complete An Eye for an Eye, then speak with him during Brothers in Arms: Novigrad. Ves: She comes with Roche once his requirements are completed. Zoltan: Speak with him during Brothers in Arms: Novigrad. Hjalmar: Complete the Skellige ruler subplot tied to Kingmaker. During Brothers in Arms: Skellige, speak with the ruler and then recruit Hjalmar. Ermion: Speak with him during Brothers in Arms: Skellige. If you completed Kingmaker, he can be found near the Coronation ceremony location under the tree. Once all 7 required allies have been recruited, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Treat Full Crew as a checklist you build throughout the game rather than something you start at the end. By the time Brothers in Arms appears, most of the important work should already be done.
Warning
Keira, Triss, Roche, Ves, and the Skellige requirements are tied to missable quest lines. If you skip those side quests or make the wrong choices, you can lock yourself out of the trophy. Nothing says "final battle preparation" quite like Geralt traveling across half the Continent asking old friends if they are free this weekend.

Trophy: Gwent Master
Defeat Tybalt and win the gwent tournament held at the Passiflora.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Win the High Stakes Gwent tournament at the Passiflora in Novigrad. You need a strong Gwent deck and 1,000 crowns to enter the tournament. Once High Stakes begins, you must defeat 4 opponents. Losing a match knocks you out of the tournament, so make a manual save before each round. If you lose, reload your save and try again. Defeat all 4 opponents, including Tybalt, to complete the quest and unlock the trophy.
Tip
Work on Card Collector first so your deck is strong enough for the tournament.
Warning
This trophy is missable. If you lose and continue without reloading, you cannot simply replay the tournament. Geralt may have fought monsters for decades, but somehow losing at cards is what can end the run.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-ECujC4qVA&list=PLRr5L69yg_kEAq8abdqXtOMzDgE49hMdm&index=26

Trophy: Kingmaker
Complete the subplot about choosing Skellige's ruler.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Complete the Skellige ruler subplot and finish Coronation. This trophy becomes available after completing the main story quest The King is Dead – Long Live the King! in Skellige. After that, complete these two side quests: Possession This introduces Cerys and follows her route through the succession storyline. The Lord of Undvik This introduces Hjalmar and follows his route. Once both are complete, you will unlock King's Gambit. During King's Gambit, you must choose whether to support Cerys or Hjalmar while investigating the attack. Either choice can still lead to the trophy, so back the person you want to become ruler. After King's Gambit, complete Coronation. The trophy will unlock when the new ruler of Skellige is crowned.
Tip
Remember where the Coronation takes place. You will need to return there later for Ermion when working toward Full Crew.
Warning
This trophy becomes unavailable once you progress too far into the Isle of Mists portion of the story, so finish the Skellige succession quests before then. Geralt came to Skellige looking for Ciri and somehow got promoted to political consultant. Just another normal week.

Trophy: The Doppler Effect
Resolve the doppler problem in Novigrad.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Complete Contract: An Elusive Thief in Novigrad. Pick up the contract from the notice board in Hierarch Square. Go to the marketplace during the day and speak with Sylvester Amello. If it is nighttime, meditate until daytime. Use Witcher Senses to follow the tracks until they lead you to the thief's house. You will eventually discover that the thief is a Doppler. From there, complete the encounter and finish the quest. You can either kill the Doppler or tell it to leave Novigrad.
Warning
Do not let the Doppler escape during the early part of the contract, as this can cause you to miss the trophy. This contract also counts toward Geralt: The Professional. Geralt tracks down a thief and discovers the suspect can literally turn into other people. Novigrad really does have everything.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyQ1WY8Suf0

Trophy: Woodland Spirit
Complete the contract on the Woodland Spirit.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
Complete the quest In the Heart of the Woods and kill the Woodland Spirit. This quest is found under Secondary Quests, not Witcher Contracts. It starts in Fayrlund on the main island of Skellige and has a suggested level of 22. Head to the southern side of Fayrlund to trigger the event and begin the quest. During the quest, you will eventually have two different approaches: Sven wants you to kill the Woodland Spirit. Harald wants you to leave it alone. For this trophy, follow Sven's path. Speak with Sven, continue into the woods, and complete the quest by killing the Woodland Spirit. The trophy will unlock once the quest is finished.
Warning
This trophy is missable. Choosing Harald's path instead can lock you out of it for that playthrough. Geralt walks into a village argument and five minutes later is deciding the fate of an ancient forest monster. No pressure.

Trophy: Armed and Dangerous
Find and equip all the elements of one set of witcher gear.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
Find, craft, and equip every piece from one complete Witcher gear set. The Griffin set is a straightforward option for this trophy. You need to find the diagrams for all 6 pieces of the set, craft them at the appropriate blacksmith and armorer, then equip every piece on Geralt at the same time. Once the full set is equipped, the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Keep an eye on the crafting requirements before heading to a smith so you do not arrive with all the diagrams and none of the materials. Geralt already looks intimidating in mismatched armor. Now the trophy wants him coordinated too.

Trophy: Card Collector
Acquire all gwent cards available in the base version of the game.
Type: Bronze
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
Acquire every unique Gwent card available in the base game. This is one of the big missable trophies in The Witcher 3. You need at least one copy of every unique Gwent card, so duplicates do not matter unless the card belongs to a set that requires multiple different copies. The safest approach is to treat Gwent as something you work on throughout the entire playthrough instead of leaving it for the end. Buy cards from merchants and innkeepers whenever you find them, and play Gwent against NPCs who offer matches. Blacksmiths and armorers do not sell cards, but many of them can still be challenged for random card rewards. Once an NPC stops rewarding you with new cards, you have exhausted their random Gwent reward pool. White Orchard Buy all cards from Elsa, the innkeeper in White Orchard. If you miss them, they can later be bought from the merchant you rescue near the beginning of the game, located outside the inn. Also win the tutorial Gwent match. Velen and Novigrad Complete Gwent: Playing Innkeepers. Complete Gwent: Velen Players. Complete Gwent: Big City Players. Complete A Dangerous Game from Zoltan. When given the choice at the end of A Dangerous Game, choose the cards instead of the money. Warning: Choosing the money here will cause you to miss the cards tied to this quest. Complete Gwent: Old Pals. This quest eventually requires you to play Lambert. Following the Thread leads into his part of the quest line. Play Lambert as soon as you get the opportunity rather than leaving it for later. During A Matter of Life and Death with Triss, attend the ball and play the three Gwent players marked by the exclamation point. Warning: These cards are missable if you leave the party without playing them. Complete Gwent: Playing Thaler. During A Deadly Plot, you eventually find and free Thaler. Play Gwent against him before he leaves. The Puttkammer and Sweers cards can be purchased from the merchant in Claywich. If the merchant is not there, you first need to rescue him from the bandit camp east of Boatmaker's Hut in Velen. Skellige Complete Gwent: Skellige Style. To play Gremist, you first need to finish Practicum in Advanced Alchemy. Also complete Shock Therapy from the druid quest giver nearby. Finishing this quest rewards you with a Hero card.
Tip
Buy every card you see, challenge new Gwent players as you travel, and finish Gwent-related quests as soon as they become available. This is much safer than trying to reconstruct your collection at the end.
Warning
Several cards are tied to quests and temporary NPCs, so this trophy can be permanently missed during a playthrough. Geralt may be searching for Ciri, fighting the Wild Hunt, and dealing with the fate of kingdoms, but none of that matters when an innkeeper has a card you do not own yet.

Trophy: Geralt: The Professional
Complete all witcher contracts.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
Complete all required Witcher Contracts. There are 26 Witcher Contracts tied to this trophy. Contracts must be discovered before they appear in your quest list, so make a habit of checking notice boards whenever you reach a new town or settlement. You can track active contracts under the Witcher Contracts section of your quests, while finished ones appear under Completed Quests. If you are doing your main playthrough on Death March, it is perfectly reasonable to save some of the tougher contracts for cleanup after the story and lower the difficulty. Geralt has already suffered enough. White Orchard Devil by the Well Suggested Level: 2 Start: Notice Board in White Orchard. This contract is not required for the trophy on versions after patch 1.07. Velen Woodland Beast Suggested Level: 6 Start: Notice Board south of Border Post, next to the bridge. Patrol Gone Missing Suggested Level: 7 Start: Notice Board at the Nilfgaardian Central Army Camp. Shrieker Suggested Level: 8 Start: Notice Board in Crow's Perch. Jenny o' the Woods Suggested Level: 10 Start: Notice Board in Midcopse. The Merry Widow Suggested Level: 10 Start: Notice Board in Lindenvale. Swamp Thing Suggested Level: 12 Start: Travel to the house southwest of the Orphans of Crookback Bog. Mysterious Tracks Suggested Level: 20 Start: Notice Board in Lindenvale. The Mystery of the Byways Murders Suggested Level: 22 Start: Notice Board in Oreton. Phantom of the Trade Route Suggested Level: 23 Start: Speak with the NPC in Benek in eastern Velen. Missing Brother Suggested Level: 33 Start: Notice Board at the Inn at the Crossroads. Novigrad An Elusive Thief Suggested Level: 13 Start: Notice Board in Hierarch Square. The Apiarian Phantom Suggested Level: 14 Start: Notice Board in Yantra. Deadly Delights Suggested Level: 15 Start: Notice Board in Hierarch Square. The White Lady Suggested Level: 16 Start: Notice Board between Portside and Glory Gates. Doors Slamming Shut Suggested Level: 24 Start: Notice Board in Hierarch Square. Lord of the Wood Suggested Level: 25 Start: Notice Board at the Cunny of the Goose Inn. The Oxenfurt Drunk Suggested Level: 26 Start: Notice Board near Oxenfurt Port. The Creature from the Oxenfurt Forest Suggested Level: 35 Start: Notice Board in Oxenfurt. Skellige Strange Beast Suggested Level: 16 Start: Notice Board in Larvik. The Phantom of Eldberg Suggested Level: 17 Start: Notice Board near the longhouse in northwest Arinbjorn. Muire D'yaeblen Suggested Level: 18 Start: Notice Board near the wharf at Kaer Trolde Harbor. Here Comes the Groom Suggested Level: 19 Start: Notice Board in Svorlag. Dragon Suggested Level: 28 Start: Notice Board in Fyresdal. Missing Son Suggested Level: 29 Start: Notice Board in Rannvaig.
Tip
Several contracts also have their own trophies, including Shrieker, The Mystery of the Byways Murders, An Elusive Thief, Doors Slamming Shut, and Missing Son, so you can make progress on multiple trophies at once.
Warning
Because contracts do not appear until you discover them, do not assume your quest log is a complete checklist. Sweep the notice boards in each region before you decide you are done. By the time this trophy unlocks, Geralt has officially spent more time doing freelance extermination than saving the world.

Trophy: Master Marksman
Kill 50 human and nonhuman opponents by striking them in the head with a crossbow bolt.
Type: Bronze
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
Kill 50 human or nonhuman enemies with crossbow headshots. This is one of the more annoying cleanup trophies because the headshot detection can be unreliable. A good farming location is Devil's Pit in Velen. The bandits there can be respawned by traveling to another region, such as Skellige or White Orchard, and then returning. Lure the bandits toward the camp entrance, where they are easier to control, then use the crossbow to finish them with headshots. A few things can make this easier: Unlock and equip Lightning Reflexes in the Combat skill tree to slow time while aiming. Try using stronger bolts, such as Precision Bolts, if you have access to them. Use Axii to stun enemies before lining up the shot. Get very close and aim directly at the head for a better chance of the game actually registering the kill correctly. The source also notes that unequipping your swords may increase crossbow damage, which can make finishing enemies easier. Once the camp is cleared, travel to another region and return to respawn the bandits. Repeat until the trophy pops.
Tip
Lower enemy health first with another weapon, then finish them with the crossbow so you are not trying to do the entire fight with Geralt's least intimidating weapon.
Warning
The hit detection can be inconsistent, so do not assume every shot that looks like a headshot actually counted. Geralt can fight monsters with swords, magic, bombs, potions, and decades of training. For this trophy, you get to spend an hour pretending he is a medieval sniper.

Trophy: Munchkin
Reach character development level 35.
Type: Gold
Category: Grind
Unlock Details
Reach character level 35. The fastest legitimate way to level up is by completing quests. Main quests, side quests, and Witcher Contracts give far more experience than simply grinding enemies. By the time you finish the main story, you should be around level 31. From there, finish remaining side quests and contracts until you reach level 35. Killing random enemies can help a little, but the experience gain is small compared with quest rewards.
Tip
If you are already doing cleanup for Witcher Contracts, fist fights, races, Gwent, and other side content, you will probably reach level 35 naturally without needing a dedicated grind. Geralt has killed monsters, settled political disputes, played hundreds of rounds of Gwent, and somehow the real endgame is watching an XP bar crawl toward 35.

Trophy: Ashes to Ashes
Complete the contract on Therazane.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Complete Contract: Doors Slamming Shut and defeat Therazane. Pick up the contract from the notice board in Hierarch Square in Novigrad. The suggested level is 24. Speak with Kurt Dysart, then travel to the haunted mansion and investigate the clues on the main floor. After that, head down into the basement and continue investigating. Near the basement entrance, look for a lever on the right side. Swim over and activate it to open the hidden door. Once you find Therazane, destroy the object behind the elemental to deactivate the magical barrier protecting it. Then defeat Therazane, collect the monster trophy, and return to Kurt Dysart to finish the contract.
Tip
Do not waste time attacking Therazane while the barrier is still active. Destroy the object behind it first. Haunted mansion, secret basement, magical barrier, angry elemental. At this point, Geralt probably misses simple drowners.

Trophy: Brawl Master
Complete all fistfighting quests in Velen, Skellige and Novigrad.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Complete all fistfighting quests in Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige. There are 14 fights in total. In each region, beat the first three fighters to unlock the regional champion. Save before the champion fights so you can reload if things go sideways. Velen: Inn at the Crossroads Lindenvale Blackbough Crow's Perch Unlocked after beating the first three Velen fighters. Novigrad: Hierarch Square Oxenfurt Gate Novigrad Docks Glory Gate Unlocked after beating the first three Novigrad fighters. Skellige: Kaer Trolde Harbor Arinbjorn Harviken Urialla Harbor Unlocked after beating the first three Skellige fighters. Hov Fight 1 Lose intentionally to Ulle the Unlucky. Hov Fight 2 Return and defeat the final opponent.
Tip
If the final Hov fight does not appear immediately, talk to the Bookie near the post again to trigger it. Geralt has spent years mastering swordplay, Signs, alchemy, and monster hunting. Naturally, this trophy asks him to solve everything with his fists.

Trophy: Brawler
Defeat Olaf, the Skellige champion of unarmed combat.
Type: Silver
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Defeat Olaf, the Skellige champion of unarmed combat. Before you can fight Olaf, you first need to defeat the three other Skellige fighters tied to the fist-fighting quest line. You can defeat those three fighters in any order. Once they are all beaten, you will eventually get the opportunity to face Olaf as the final Skellige champion. Defeat him in the fist fight and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
This trophy ties directly into Brawl Master, so keep completing the regional fist-fighting quests rather than treating Olaf as a separate objective. Geralt has fought griffins, wraiths, fiends, and vampires. Naturally, the trophy list eventually asks him to settle things with his fists.

Trophy: Butcher of Blaviken
Kill at least 5 opponents in under 10 seconds.
Type: Silver
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill 5 enemies in under 10 seconds. This can be done against any group of enemies, and it becomes much easier if you use weak targets. Rats are one of the easiest options because they die very quickly and often appear in groups larger than five. The side quest Now or Never is one possible place to find enough of them. You can also do this against Wolves or other low-level enemies. Gather them together, use a bomb or another strong area attack, then quickly finish off anything still alive. The trophy unlocks as soon as you kill 5 opponents within the 10-second window.
Tip
Lowering the difficulty during cleanup makes this much easier if you did not unlock it naturally. You may also be able to earn Can't Touch This! at the same time if you kill the group without taking damage and without using Quen. Five enemies. Ten seconds. Very little paperwork. Geralt would approve.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aWhz9SeH7A&list=PLRr5L69yg_kEAq8abdqXtOMzDgE49hMdm&index=6

Trophy: Can't Touch This!
Kill 5 foes in a fight without taking damage (except for Toxicity) and without using the Quen Sign.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill 5 enemies during a single fight without taking any damage and without using Quen. The easiest way to do this is against a group of low-level enemies such as Drowners or Wolves. Stay in combat, avoid getting hit, and kill 5 enemies before the fight ends. If combat breaks or you leave the encounter, the count resets. You also cannot use Quen for this trophy, so rely on dodging, rolling, positioning, and killing enemies quickly.
Tip
This pairs well with Butcher of Blaviken since both trophies can be earned during the same fight if you kill the group fast enough. Geralt spends the entire game learning signs and defensive tricks. For this one, the game basically says: “Cool. Now do it without getting touched.”
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aWhz9SeH7A&list=PLRr5L69yg_kEAq8abdqXtOMzDgE49hMdm&index=6

Trophy: Environmentally Unfriendly
Kill 50 opponents using the environment (e.g. swamp gas, insects or objects).
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill 50 enemies using environmental hazards. You can make progress on this in several ways: Swamp Gas: Use Igni to ignite swamp gas while enemies are standing inside it. Insects: Trigger environmental hazards such as hornet nests and let them damage nearby enemies. Explosive Objects: Use Igni or another method to detonate explosive barrels near enemies. A good farming method is in Velen, where groups of Drowners can be lured into swamp gas. Ignite the gas with Igni and let the environment do the killing. Once the enemies are gone, fast travel to another region and then return to respawn them. Repeat until the trophy unlocks.
Tip
You may earn a decent amount of progress naturally, so it is worth saving this for later cleanup before committing to a full farm. For once, Geralt does not need to do all the work himself. Let the swamp earn some XP.

Trophy: Fearless Vampire Slayer
Complete the contract on Sarasti.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Complete Contract: The Mystery of the Byways Murders and defeat Sarasti. You can pick up this contract from the notice board in Oreton, Velen. The suggested level is 22. After accepting the contract, speak with the Nilfgaardian commander, who will tell you about the missing patrol. Travel to the village and defeat the 5 Ghouls there, then speak with the villagers for more information. Use Witcher Senses to investigate the area. Follow the clues until you find the blood trail, then continue following the scent trail until it leads you to the building hiding the path forward. After the cutscene, descend the ladder and follow the linear path until you reach Sarasti. Defeat the vampire, then return to the Nilfgaardian commander to complete the contract and unlock the trophy.
Tip
If you are underleveled, come back later. Sarasti can hit hard if you rush this contract too early. Nothing says fearless like willingly climbing down into a dark underground tunnel because someone said there might be a vampire at the bottom.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0foCAkeTQ8&list=PLRr5L69yg_kEAq8abdqXtOMzDgE49hMdm&index=17

Trophy: Fiend or Foe?
Complete the contract on Morvudd.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Complete Contract: Missing Son and defeat Morvudd. Pick up the contract from the notice board in Rannvaig, Skellige. The suggested level is 29. Speak with Odhen of Rannvaig, who will tell you about his missing son and point you toward the nearby castle ruins. Travel to the ruins and use Witcher Senses to investigate. Follow the footprints until you encounter Morvudd. Damage the Fiend until it retreats, then use Witcher Senses again to track it down. Once you find Morvudd for the second time, finish the fight, collect the trophy from the monster, and return to Odhen. The trophy will unlock after completing the contract.
Tip
This is a higher-level contract, so if Morvudd is turning Geralt into decorative pavement, come back with better gear and a few more levels. One Fiend, two fights, and another reminder that Witcher Contracts rarely end after the first round.

Trophy: Fire in the Hole
Destroy 10 monster nests using bombs.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Destroy 10 monster nests using bombs. Monster nests appear at some of the question marks scattered across the map. When you find one, kill the enemies guarding it, approach the nest, and plant a bomb to destroy it. Bombs that work include: Grapeshot Samum Dancing Star If you do not have the necessary bomb formulae yet, work on Bombardier first. This trophy pairs nicely with Pest Control. Skellige has 5 monster nests required for that trophy, so after destroying those, you only need 5 more in Velen/Novigrad or White Orchard.
Tip
Do these two trophies together so you are not clearing monster nests twice. Ten nests destroyed later, Geralt has officially upgraded from professional monster hunter to professional pest-control technician.

Trophy: Fist of the South Star
Defeat an opponent in a fistfight without taking any damage.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Defeat an opponent in a fistfight without taking any damage. You can earn this very early in the game at the first inn with Vesemir. After the cutscene with the group of men looking for trouble, make a manual save before leaving the inn. Once outside, choose the dialogue option: Only three of you... how brave. The first opponent will attack you alone. Defeat him without taking a single hit and the trophy will unlock before the other two fully join the fight. You can also earn this later during any of the fistfighting quests while working toward Brawl Master.
Tip
Countering is usually safer than trying to overwhelm the opponent. Wait for the attack, counter, land a few hits, then back off and repeat.
Warning
If you take any damage, reload your save and try again. Geralt can fight griffins and vampires, but apparently one clean bar fight is what proves he is truly elite.

Trophy: Humpty Dumpty
Kill 10 opponents by knocking them off somewhere high with the Aard Sign.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill 10 enemies by knocking them from a high ledge with Aard. A good farming location is Devil's Pit in Velen, where there are plenty of bandits and convenient drops around the camp. Lure enemies close to a ledge, defend yourself while positioning them near the edge, then use Aard to blast them off. The fall needs to kill them for it to count. After clearing the camp, fast travel to another region such as Skellige or White Orchard, then return to Devil's Pit to respawn the bandits. Repeat until you reach 10 kills.
Tip
Focus on enemies that are easy to stagger and try to fight near clear drops rather than shallow slopes.
Warning
Enemies carrying axes can be harder to manage safely because their attacks cannot be blocked normally, so either avoid them or deal with them separately. Geralt has two swords, bombs, Signs, oils, potions, and decades of combat experience. For this trophy, just push people off cliffs.

Trophy: Kaer Morhen Trained
Perform 10 effective counterattacks in a row without getting hit or parrying.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Perform 10 successful counterattacks in a row without getting hit or parrying. The easiest way to do this is against a single human enemy, since their attack animations are generally easier to read. Wait for the enemy to attack, then tap L2 at the right moment to perform a counter. You do not need to follow the counter with an attack. Just keep timing the counters correctly until you reach 10 in a row. If you get hit or mess up the sequence, start counting again.
Tip
A fist fight can make this easier because you only need to focus on one opponent and their attacks are usually more predictable.
Warning
If you practice against guards and lose the fight, you can lose crowns. Ten perfect counters in a row. Vesemir would probably approve. Geralt would probably just grunt.

Trophy: Overkill
Make an opponent suffer from bleeding, poisoning and burning simultaneously. Do this 10 times.
Type: Silver
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Make an enemy suffer from bleeding, poisoning, and burning at the same time. Do this 10 times. You need three different status effects active on the same enemy at once: Bleeding: Use Broadhead Bolts. These can be bought from the blacksmith in Oxenfurt and have a 100% chance to cause bleeding. Poisoning: Use a Devil's Puffball bomb. The formula can be purchased from the Herbalist's Hut northeast of Oxenfurt. Burning: Use a Dancing Star bomb or simply cast Igni. Find a sturdy enemy, apply all three effects quickly, and make sure they overlap before one wears off. Repeat this on 10 enemies and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Bandit camps, monster nests, and groups of tougher enemies work well because weak enemies may die before you manage to stack all three effects. The hardest part is not killing the poor thing too quickly. Geralt really takes "overkill" as a personal challenge.

Trophy: Shrieker
Complete the contract on the shrieker.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Complete the Shrieker Witcher Contract in Velen. Pick up the contract from the notice board at Crow's Perch, then speak with the contract giver to learn more about the creature. Follow the clues using Witcher Senses until you locate the Shrieker's cave. Before heading in, make sure you have a bomb such as Grapeshot. Throw it into the cave to force the Shrieker out, then chase it down and kill it. Return to the contract giver afterward to complete the quest and unlock the trophy.
Tip
Grapeshot is one of the easiest bombs to use for forcing the Shrieker out of the cave. Geralt gets paid to hunt monsters. Apparently sometimes that also includes throwing explosives into their living room first.

Trophy: That Is the Evilest Thing…
Ignite the gas produced by a Dragon's Dream bomb using a burning opponent. Do this 10 times.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Ignite the gas from a Dragon's Dream bomb using a burning enemy 10 times. First, obtain and craft the Dragon's Dream bomb, then equip both Dragon's Dream and the Igni Sign. Find a group of enemies that can be set on fire, such as Bandits or Drowners. Use Igni to ignite an enemy, then throw a Dragon's Dream bomb into the burning target so the gas explodes. The enemy does not need to die. The explosion just needs to affect them. Repeat this 10 times.
Tip
You can only carry a limited number of bombs at once. After using them, back away from the enemies and meditate with alcohol in your inventory to replenish your bombs. This is one of those trophies that makes you wonder whether Geralt is still hunting monsters or has started doing chemistry experiments with live test subjects.

Trophy: The Enemy of My Enemy
Use the Axii Sign to force one opponent to kill another. Do this 20 times.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Use Axii to make an enemy kill another enemy 20 times. First, unlock Puppet in the Axii section of the Signs skill tree and make sure you actually equip it. Find a group of low-level enemies, such as bandits or enemies around monster locations, then hold R2 to use the alternate Axii ability on one of them. That enemy will temporarily fight on your side. For the trophy to count, the controlled enemy needs to actually kill another opponent. Once the effect wears off, you can use Puppet again on the same enemy or another one. Repeat until you reach 20 kills.
Tip
Lower-level enemy groups make this much easier because your controlled target is more likely to finish someone off before the Axii effect ends. If you are short on ability points, you can reset your build with a Potion of Clearance and temporarily unlock Puppet. Nothing says master witcher quite like standing back while your enemies solve the problem themselves.

Trophy: Triple Threat
Kill 3 opponents in one fight using 3 different methods (swords, bombs, crossbow, Signs, etc.).
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Kill 3 enemies in a single fight using 3 different methods. Find a group of at least 3 enemies, then weaken three of them until they are close to death. A simple combination is: Sword kill Crossbow kill Igni kill You can also use a bomb instead of one of those if that is easier. The important part is that each of the 3 enemies dies from a different method, and all three kills happen during the same continuous fight.
Tip
Lower all three enemies' health first, then finish them one at a time with your three chosen methods.
Warning
Do not leave combat between kills. If the fight ends, the counter resets. Geralt carries enough equipment to outfit a small army. This trophy just wants him to actually use some of it.

Trophy: What Was That?
Attack, counter, cast a Sign and throw a bomb (in any order) in under 4 seconds.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Attack, counter, cast a Sign, and throw a bomb within 4 seconds. All four actions need to connect during the same short sequence, but you can perform them in any order. A simple setup is: Counter an enemy attack. Immediately land a sword attack. Throw a bomb. Cast a Sign. You can do this against almost any enemy. The tutorial fight with Vesemir is a very clean place to attempt it, but if you are already past that point, Drowners or Wolves work fine too.
Tip
Have your bomb and Sign selected before starting the attempt so you are not wasting time opening menus or switching abilities. Four actions in four seconds. Basically Geralt's version of button mashing with a degree.

Trophy: All In
Play three hero cards in one round of gwent and win the match.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Play 3 Hero cards in a single round of Gwent and win the match. Hero cards are unique Gwent cards usually earned by defeating specific opponents tied to Gwent quests. It is best to wait until you have around 4–5 Hero cards in your deck so you have a better chance of drawing at least three during a match. Once you draw three Hero cards, play all three during the same round and make sure you go on to win the entire match. The trophy will unlock after the victory.
Tip
The more Hero cards you have in your deck, the less this relies on luck.
Warning
Playing the three Hero cards is not enough by itself. You still need to win the match. Nothing says subtle strategy like dropping three legendary cards on the table and politely asking your opponent if they would like to surrender.

Trophy: Bombardier
Collect the formulae for 6 different bomb types.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Collect the formulae for 6 different bomb types. You may pick up some bomb formulae naturally while looting, but the easiest method is to visit the Herbalist's Hut in Novigrad. The Herbalist there sells several bomb formulae, including: Dancing Star Devil's Puffball Dimeritium Bomb Dragon's Dream Enhanced Grapeshot Enhanced Samum Moon Dust Northern Wind You only need 6 different bomb types for the trophy. If you currently have none, buying 6 formulae will cost about 1,488 crowns.
Tip
Dragon's Dream is also useful for That Is the Evilest Thing…, so it is worth buying that one regardless. If you do not want to spend the crowns permanently, make a manual save, buy enough formulae for the trophy, then reload. Geralt already carries two swords, a crossbow, potions, and Signs. Naturally, the next step was explosives.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K-0hsGCc2A&list=PLRr5L69yg_kEAq8abdqXtOMzDgE49hMdm&index=12

Trophy: Bookworm
Read 30 books, journals or other documents.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Read 30 books, journals, or other documents. You will find plenty of readable items throughout the game, including: Notice boards Quest documents Books on tables and desks Bookshelves Items purchased from merchants This will likely unlock naturally if you regularly loot and read documents while progressing through the story and side quests. If it does not, open your inventory and start reading through the documents you have collected. You only need to open each one briefly before moving to the next.
Tip
Do not throw away unread documents during cleanup. You may already have everything you need sitting in your inventory. Geralt finally gets a trophy for reading all the paperwork everyone keeps handing him.

Trophy: Dendrologist
Acquire all the Abilities in one tree.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Acquire every ability in a single skill tree. The easiest option is the yellow General tree because it only requires 6 different abilities. If you already spent your ability points elsewhere, buy a Potion of Clearance for 1,000 crowns from the merchant southeast of the St. Gregory's Bridge fast travel point in Novigrad. Make a manual save, drink the potion to reset your points, then purchase all 6 abilities in the yellow tree. The trophy should unlock immediately. Afterward, reload your save if you want to restore your original build.
Tip
Saving before using the Potion of Clearance means you can grab the trophy without permanently rebuilding Geralt. Geralt spent years training as a witcher. You are about to erase all of that for five minutes because a trophy told you to.

Trophy: Geralt and Friends
Win a round of gwent using only neutral cards.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Win a round of Gwent using only neutral cards. Neutral cards do not have a faction banner on the left side of the card. An easy early method is to beat the tutorial Gwent opponent, which gives you the neutral Zoltan Chivay card. Play him again and try to win a round using only neutral cards. A useful strategy is to spend more of your normal cards in the first round and make your opponent commit heavily too. If they burn through enough cards, they may pass quickly in the next round, giving you a chance to win that round using only neutral cards. Merchants can also be good opponents for this.
Tip
This may come naturally while working toward Card Collector since you will be playing a lot of Gwent anyway. Geralt finally found a trophy where friendship really is the winning strategy.

Trophy: Globetrotter
Discover 100 fast travel points.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Discover 100 fast travel signposts. Fast travel points appear on the map as green signposts, and you will unlock a lot of them naturally while progressing through the story, exploring towns, and completing Witcher Contracts. If you are still short, focus on undiscovered towns, villages, notice boards, and isolated buildings. Most populated areas have at least one signpost nearby, while larger cities usually have several. The trophy will unlock as soon as you discover your 100th fast travel point.
Tip
You will probably make strong progress toward this just by doing Geralt: The Professional and exploring the major regions, so save any dedicated cleanup for later. Geralt spends half the game riding Roach across the countryside, and this trophy rewards you for finally admitting that fast travel exists.

Trophy: Let's Cook!
Learn 12 potion formulae.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Learn 12 potion formulae. Potion formulae can be found as loot in crates and on bodies, and they can also be purchased from Herbalists and some merchants. If you loot regularly while progressing through the story, side quests, and Witcher Contracts, this should unlock naturally fairly early. You do not need to craft all 12 potions. You only need to learn 12 different formulae.
Tip
If you are short, check Herbalists for recipes you have not purchased yet. Geralt spends half the game collecting herbs anyway. Eventually the trophy list decided to make it official.

Trophy: Mutant
Fill all mutagen slots.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Fill all 4 mutagen slots in the Character menu. There are three types of mutagens: Red Mutagens increase attack power. Blue Mutagens increase Sign intensity. Green Mutagens increase Vitality. You can mix and match them however you want. The only requirement is having all 4 mutagen slots filled at the same time. You will not have access to all 4 slots until you reach at least level 28. Once the final slot is available, equip a mutagen in each one and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Do not overthink this one. The mutagens do not need to match, be upgraded, or be part of a perfect build. Four occupied slots is all that matters. Geralt has enough mutations already. Apparently the trophy list decided he needed four more.

Trophy: Pest Control
Destroy all monster nests in the Velen / Novigrad region, or in Skellige.
Type: Silver
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Destroy every monster nest in either Velen/Novigrad or Skellige. Skellige is the much easier option because it only has 5 monster nests, compared with 24 in Velen/Novigrad. For each nest: Kill the monsters guarding it. Approach the nest. Destroy it using the required explosive method, such as a bomb or Igni when available. Clear all 5 nests in Skellige and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Work on Fire in the Hole at the same time, since destroying monster nests also counts toward that trophy. There is no prize for choosing the region with 24 nests. Take the five in Skellige and let Geralt enjoy the closest thing he gets to a day off.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEs0Q6g978M&list=PLRr5L69yg_kEAq8abdqXtOMzDgE49hMdm&index=3

Trophy: Power Overwhelming
Have all possible Place of Power bonuses active at the same time.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
Have all 5 different Place of Power bonuses active at the same time. White Orchard is the easiest place to do this because there are 6 Places of Power in the region, including all 5 different Sign bonuses. Each bonus lasts for 30 minutes, which gives you plenty of time to activate all five. Three are located toward the northern part of White Orchard and two toward the south. If you have not discovered them yet, they may appear as question marks on the map. Activate each different Place of Power one after another and the trophy will unlock once all 5 bonuses are active at the same time.
Tip
This is much easier than it sounds. Once you know where they are, you can hit all five in just a few minutes. For about half an hour, Geralt becomes the Continent's most aggressively over-buffed tourist.

Trophy: A Friend in Need
Find and free Dandelion.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Find and free Dandelion. This trophy unlocks automatically as you progress through the main story in Novigrad. During this quest line, you will explore the city, reconnect with familiar faces, continue searching for Ciri, and work your way toward finding Dandelion. Depending on the order you tackle the main quests, this may be your third or fourth story-related trophy. Novigrad is a big change from Velen, with more merchants, denser questing, and a lot more going on around you, so this is also where the game starts feeling much bigger. No special planning is needed for the trophy itself. Just continue the story and eventually rescue the bard who somehow manages to turn being in trouble into a full-time career.

Trophy: Family Counselor
Find the baron's wife and daughter.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Find the Baron's wife and daughter. This trophy unlocks automatically as you progress through the Bloody Baron quest line in Velen. The Baron has information that may help Geralt track down Ciri, but first he wants help finding his missing family. Continue following the main quests tied to the Baron until you locate both his wife and daughter. Once that part of the story is completed, the trophy will unlock. No special planning is needed here. Just keep following the quest line and prepare yourself for one of the more emotionally messy family problems Geralt gets dragged into.

Trophy: Lilac and Gooseberries
Find Yennefer of Vengerberg.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Find Yennefer of Vengerberg. This trophy unlocks automatically after the opening tutorial section and the first stretch of the main story. Along the way, the game introduces several core systems, including Gwent and the crossbow, while Geralt continues tracking Yennefer. Nothing special is required here. Just keep progressing the main quest until you finally catch up with her. And yes, this is also where Gwent begins quietly preparing to consume the rest of your life.

Trophy: Necromancer
Help Yennefer extract information from Skjall's body.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Help Yennefer extract information from Skjall's body. This trophy unlocks automatically during the Skellige portion of the main story. After arriving in Skellige and progressing through several main quests, Geralt and Yennefer continue searching for clues about Ciri. The quest line eventually leads to Skjall, whose body contains information that can help point them in the right direction. Once Yennefer performs the ritual and extracts the information, the trophy will unlock. Nothing special is required here beyond continuing the story. Apparently when normal questioning stops working, Yennefer has a slightly more aggressive interview technique.

Trophy: Passed the Trial
Finish the game on any difficulty.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Complete the main story on any difficulty. This trophy unlocks automatically after finishing the game. There are no special requirements beyond completing the main storyline. If you are doing your Platinum run on Death March, this will unlock alongside the higher-difficulty completion trophies. Finish the adventure, survive Geralt’s endless list of favors for everyone on the Continent, and this one is yours.

Trophy: Ran the Gauntlet
Finish the game on the "Blood and Broken Bones!" or "Death March!" difficulty levels.
Type: Silver
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Complete the game on Blood and Broken Bones! or Death March! difficulty. If you are following the most efficient Platinum route, start the game on Death March and never lower the difficulty. Finishing the story this way will also satisfy the requirement for Ran the Gauntlet. There is no reason to do a separate Blood and Broken Bones! playthrough if your goal is the Platinum.

Trophy: Something More
Find Ciri.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Find Ciri. This trophy unlocks automatically during the main story after Geralt finally gathers enough information to locate Ciri. By this point, you will have followed leads across multiple regions, worked with Yennefer, and learned more about how Ciri has been avoiding the Wild Hunt. Continue progressing the main quest until Geralt reaches her location. The trophy will unlock when you find her. After spending what feels like half the game asking everyone in the Continent where Ciri went, Geralt finally gets an answer.

Trophy: The King is Dead
Defeat Eredin.
Type: Silver
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Defeat Eredin. This trophy unlocks automatically after defeating Eredin near the end of the main story. There is nothing special required beyond winning the fight and progressing normally.
Tip
If you are playing on Death March for Walked the Path, keep your difficulty unchanged through this fight and the remaining story quests.
Warning
Defeating Eredin is not technically the very end of the game. You still need to complete a few more main story quests before the difficulty-related completion trophies unlock. You have spent the entire game hearing about the King of the Wild Hunt. Time to finally introduce him to the business end of a silver sword.

Trophy: Walked the Path
Finish the game on the "Death March!" difficulty level.
Type: Gold
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Complete the game on Death March! difficulty. This is the difficulty trophy that matters most for the Platinum. You need to complete the entire main story on Death March without lowering the difficulty. On Death March, meditation does not restore your health, so food, potions, and other healing items become much more important. Do side quests, Witcher Contracts, and useful exploration when you start feeling underleveled. If a main quest is giving you trouble, step away, gain a few levels, improve your gear, and come back stronger instead of repeatedly introducing Geralt’s face to the floor.
Tip
Make manual saves before major quests. If a section turns out to be too difficult at your current level, you can reload and return later.
Warning
Do not lower the difficulty during this playthrough if you are going for Walked the Path. Death March sounds terrifying at the start, but once your build, gear, Quen, and healing options improve, it becomes much more manageable. Geralt just needs a rough opening before remembering he is, in fact, a professional monster killer.

Trophy: Xenonaut
Visit Tir ná Lia and convince Ge'els to betray Eredin.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
Visit Tir ná Lia and convince Ge'els to betray Eredin. This trophy unlocks automatically during the Final Preparations portion of the main story. Speak with Avallac'h on the upper floor of Dandelion's inn to begin the quest. You will travel through a series of portals that take Geralt across several very different environments, including: A desert area A toxic gas area An underwater section A snowstorm area After making it through the final section, you will reunite with Avallac'h and continue on to Tir ná Lia. Finish the quest and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
Bring plenty of food or other healing items before starting. Some of the environmental hazards can drain your health quickly, especially if you are playing on Death March.
Warning
Make a manual save before starting the quest in case you realize your gear, level, or healing supplies are not quite ready for Geralt's surprise interdimensional vacation.

If you're comfortable with The Witcher 3's combat, start on Death March! so you can earn all three difficulty trophies in one playthrough. This is the most efficient Platinum route, and with a focused Platinum walkthrough the game can be much faster and easier than older 100+ hour estimates suggest.
Death March is toughest early when Geralt is underleveled and poorly equipped. Food and other healing items matter because meditation will not restore your health. Do useful side quests, Witcher Contracts, and nearby activities when you need levels or better gear, but you do not need to clear every question mark on the map.
Start paying attention to the genuinely missable trophies early, especially quest-related requirements and Full Crew. Gwent also has missable cards, so if you are following a Platinum walkthrough, collecting them during this first run can save you from needing the traditional second playthrough.
As the world opens up, keep progressing the story while completing the side quests tied to major characters and political storylines. Important trophy paths include Friends With Benefits, Kingmaker, Assassin of Kings, and recruiting every possible ally required for Full Crew.
This is also a good time to work through Witcher Contracts naturally. You eventually need all of them for Geralt: The Professional, and Even Odds requires killing two contracted monsters without Signs, potions, mutagens, oils, or bombs. Woodland Spirit also requires some attention because the choices around that contract can affect whether you earn its trophy.
If you're collecting Gwent cards in the same playthrough, stay on top of them as you move through each region. This is much cleaner than reaching the end and discovering that Geralt's greatest enemy was not the Wild Hunt — it was a card you forgot to buy 25 hours ago.
Before pushing through the final stretch of the story, double-check any remaining missable quest trophies and make sure you have recruited everyone needed for Full Crew. Avoid changing the difficulty if you started on Death March, since completing the game on that setting earns Passed the Trial, Ran the Gauntlet, and Walked the Path together.
Continue finishing contracts, races, fist fights, Gwent, and useful side content whenever convenient. You need all Witcher Contracts for Geralt: The Professional, all major fist-fighting quests for Brawl Master, and all horse races for Fast and Furious.
Once you defeat the final story objectives and complete the game on Death March, the hardest-looking part of the Platinum is behind you. It sounds intimidating on paper, but once your build, gear, and Quen usage are established, Death March becomes much more manageable.
After the story, use your existing save for cleanup. Finish any remaining Witcher Contracts, fist fights, horse races, monster nests, fast travel points, Witcher gear, abilities, formulas, and miscellaneous combat trophies.
Several combat trophies can be farmed quickly once you know exactly what they require, including The Enemy of My Enemy, Humpty Dumpty, That Is the Evilest Thing…, Triple Threat, Overkill, Master Marksman, and What Was That? There is little reason to grind these early unless an easy opportunity appears naturally.
The older roadmap approach recommends a second playthrough specifically for Gwent cards and missed trophies. A focused Platinum walkthrough can avoid that. If you collect the missable cards and complete the important quest decisions during your Death March run, the Platinum can be achieved in a single playthrough with cleanup afterward.
For an experienced player following an optimized walkthrough, expect something closer to roughly 35–40 hours rather than the much longer completion estimates often associated with a blind or completion-heavy run. The Platinum is also more manageable than its reputation suggests — the real challenge is planning the missables correctly, not surviving 100 hours of Death March misery.
Use Ask Gami whenever you're unsure about a quest choice, missing Gwent card, contract, or trophy condition. With the missables handled correctly, the rest is mostly cleanup — and maybe wondering why Geralt has saved the world three times but still drops everything for a round of Gwent.
