Later, when you’re heading to the town hall with the sheriff to get the keys, you’ll pass by the diner again. Go inside and play track 6 on the jukebox a second time. This trophy unlocks by completing Episode 5 without dying. Most of the episode is straightforward, but there are two key sections that require caution: the Church Defense and the Chopper Defense. During the Church Defense, the sheriff fights alongside you and can take most of the aggro. Let her handle the bulk of enemies while you pick off stragglers with your torch or weapons to keep things manageable. The Chopper Defense is trickier since you are solo, with only two floodlights to help control the Taken. Keep the lights active between waves, running to them as needed to weaken the enemies, then attack with your preferred weapon and use the torch to stagger foes. Carry flares or flashbangs in case things get crowded. This trophy is easiest on Easy difficulty. Once enough Taken are defeated, head to the chopper to finish the mission. The bulldozer will repeatedly charge around the yard while the Taken attempt to attack you at the same time. Keep moving and watch the direction of the bulldozer so you can avoid getting run over. You can even use the bulldozer to your advantage by luring Taken into its path as it charges across the area. Focus your light on the machine whenever it stops long enough to expose its darkness shield. After weakening it with the flashlight, continue damaging it until the possession breaks and the bulldozer is destroyed. Defeating the possessed bulldozer will unlock the trophy. This encounter can technically be avoided if you run through the area without engaging it. If you are aiming for the trophy, make sure you stay and destroy the bulldozer instead of skipping the fight.

First you will need to focus your flashlight on the boiler to burn away the darkness protecting it. Once that section is weakened and destroyed, the fight continues with the cab of the locomotive. Keep your distance while burning away the darkness shield with your light, then deal damage once the shield breaks. After destroying both parts of the possessed train, the trophy will unlock. Just like the bulldozer encounter earlier in the episode, this fight can be bypassed if you run past the area. Make sure you engage and destroy the locomotive if you want the trophy to unlock.

The episode begins at the sheriff’s station where Alan receives a call from someone claiming to have Alice. Once night falls, you leave the cabin in the park and encounter the ranger again in his Taken form near the ranger station. After defeating him, continue following the signs leading toward Lovers’ Peak while dealing with Taken along the forest trails. Eventually you will reach a cable car that breaks and sends Alan falling into the forest below. You will temporarily lose most of your weapons and only have your flashlight, but a nearby supply box provides flares to help keep enemies back. Follow the man who helps you after the fall and fight through several Taken encounters together. After reaching Lovers’ Peak, the man reveals that he is the kidnapper and demands the manuscript for Departure in exchange for Alice. An argument follows and both Alan and the kidnapper fall from the overlook. When you regain control, make your way back toward the cabin where Barry is waiting. A large flock of ravens attacks near the cabin, so defeat them before heading inside to speak with Barry. Completing the episode will unlock the trophy.

During this section Alan temporarily has no weapons or flashlight, so the safest approach is to avoid enemies and move quickly through the forest until you reach a vehicle that allows you to continue toward the farm. Once you reach Anderson Farm, continue exploring the buildings with Barry while dealing with Taken encounters along the way. After progressing through several structures you will eventually reach the farmhouse where the power must be restored. Turn on the electricity and interact with the music player upstairs to trigger the next sequence. Alan then enters a dreamlike state where he finally realizes what truly happened the night he and Alice arrived in Bright Falls. After this revelation the episode concludes and the trophy unlocks automatically as part of the story progression.

Continue through the bookstore and church areas before regrouping and preparing for a helicopter defense sequence. After surviving this section you will be transported to the power plant where Alan must continue alone. At the power plant Cynthia Weaver appears and instructs Alan to shut down the transformer yard, which leads to the floodgate puzzle required for the Gatekeeper trophy. After completing this task the story continues toward the crash site and eventually onto the dam. During the final section you must outrun a massive tornado while moving across the dam. Keep pushing forward until you reach the elevator where Barry and Sarah are waiting. After entering the Well Lit Room and the following cutscene plays, the episode concludes and the trophy unlocks.

During this episode Alan is on the run from both the FBI and local law enforcement, and the main objective becomes finding transportation so he can reach the coal mine where the kidnapper claims to be waiting. Once you obtain a vehicle, drive toward the mining area and enter the main building where Alan waits for the kidnapper to make contact. After some time passes, you will finally hear from him and receive instructions to head to the Cauldron Lake lookout located beyond the old mining town. As you travel through the mining area you will encounter several possessed objects that attack as you move through the ghost town. Continue progressing through the environment until you reach the mine shaft. Inside the mine you will need to navigate through tunnels and operate a simple elevator puzzle before exiting back outside. After leaving the mine, move through the nearby building and prepare for a Taken ambush along the way. You can either defeat the enemies or push past them and continue toward the lookout trail. When you reach the bottom of the path leading to the lookout, a cutscene will trigger and the episode will end. The trophy unlocks automatically at this point as part of the story progression.
