There are 100 Coffee Thermoses hidden throughout Alan Wake Remastered. Collecting every thermos unlocks the Damn Good Cup of Coffee and Hyper-Caffeinated trophies.
The collectibles are spread across all six episodes of the game, with some hidden along the main path and others tucked into optional areas, cabins, rooftops, lookout points, and side trails. The final thermos appears during the ending sequence inside The Dark Place after shining your flashlight on the correct floating word.
There are 106 Manuscript Pages to collect in Alan Wake Remastered, including pages that only appear on Nightmare difficulty. Collecting every page unlocks the Collector's Edition trophy.
Manuscript Pages are spread across all six episodes, with many found along the main path and others hidden in side areas, buildings, roads, farms, mines, and late-game locations.
There are 30 hidden Supply Chests scattered throughout Alan Wake Remastered. Finding every chest unlocks the Finders Keepers and Every Nook and Cranny trophies.
Most Supply Chests are hidden off the main path and marked by glowing yellow painted arrows on rocks, trees, walls, and nearby surfaces. The chests contain valuable ammo, batteries, flares, and supplies that become especially useful on higher difficulties.
There are 12 Can Pyramids hidden throughout Alan Wake Remastered. Knocking over at least five unlocks the Carny trophy, but finding all of them is useful for full collectible completion.
The pyramids are usually placed on fences, barrels, tables, railings, picnic areas, and rooftops across the game's six episodes. You can destroy them using gunfire or melee attacks.
There are 14 Night Springs TVs hidden throughout Alan Wake Remastered. Watching every episode unlocks the Couch Potato trophy.
Some televisions activate automatically during story sequences, while others are hidden inside cabins, trailers, stations, barns, restrooms, and control rooms scattered throughout the campaign.
There are 11 KBF-FM radio broadcasts hidden throughout the first four episodes of Alan Wake Remastered. Listening to all of them unlocks the KBF-FM trophy.
Most radios are found near cabins, towers, safe havens, and side buildings, while one radio broadcast at the KBF-FM Radio Station is automatically triggered during the story.
To defeat Carl Stucky in Alan Wake Remastered, grab the Flare Gun from the nearby supply crate, burn away his darkness shield using your flashlight focus, then fire a single flare directly at him to instantly kill him.
If you miss the flare shot or run out of ammo, use your flashlight to strip his darkness shield and finish him with the shotgun while carefully dodging his fast melee attacks.
To defeat Rusty Johnston in Alan Wake Remastered, lure him outside the cramped visitor center into the nearby yard, burn away his darkness shield with your flashlight focus, then shoot him repeatedly with the revolver.
The yard contains an infinite supply of revolver ammo, so focus on surviving, dodging his fast attacks, and keeping enough distance to safely remove his darkness shield before firing.
To destroy the Poltergeist Bulldozer in Alan Wake Remastered, burn away its darkness shield using Flashbangs or your flashlight focus beam, then finish it off with gunfire once the shield breaks.
The fastest strategy is throwing 2 to 3 Flashbangs while dodging its charge attacks. Make sure to eliminate nearby Taken enemies first so you can fully focus on the bulldozer without getting overwhelmed.
To survive the Anderson Farm stage fight in Alan Wake Remastered, stay near Barry's spotlights, keep moving around the stage, and use the large amount of ammo and supplies scattered across the arena.
The fight happens in multiple waves, and stepping into each spotlight checkpoint restores safety and progress. Prioritize survival over aggressive pushes and avoid letting your health drop into grayscale danger.
To defeat the Tornado final boss in Alan Wake Remastered, move across the bridge toward Diver's Isle, destroy possessed objects blocking your path with the flashlight, then use the Flare Gun at close range to damage the heart of the Dark Presence.
You must first destroy the swirling outer shell protecting the tornado before firing several direct flare shots into its glowing center to finish the fight.
To restore power to a generator in Alan Wake Remastered, interact with the machine and press the action button when the rotating indicator needle enters the highlighted green zone. You must successfully hit the timing window three times in a row to fully restore power.
The timing gets faster after each successful crank, so stay focused and avoid pressing too early. Make sure the surrounding area is clear of Taken enemies first, because getting hit will interrupt the mini-game and force you to restart.
Nightmare difficulty in Alan Wake Remastered features tougher enemies, longer darkness shields, reduced resources, and more punishing combat encounters.
The best strategy is avoiding unnecessary fights whenever possible, mastering dodge timing, conserving powerful resources like Flashbangs and Flare Gun ammo, and relying heavily on safe havens, generators, environmental hazards, and flashlight management to survive.

Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
This one is missable and only unlocks in Episode 4 while you are escaping the Lodge above Cauldron Lake. As you move through the building, you will come across a waiting room type area with a television sitting out in the open. Walk up to it and interact with it just like you would with the collectible TVs. The trophy only pops at this specific TV. You cannot unlock it earlier at Wake’s home even though the story makes it look possible there. Make sure you interact with the correct set during the Lodge escape before moving on.
Trophy: Drink 'Em Both Up
You drank both containers.
Type: Bronze
Category: Missable
Unlock Details
This missable trophy can be started in Episode 1 after leaving the ferry, but you won’t be able to complete it until Episode 5 when you can return to the diner. In Episode 1, enter the diner and approach the two elderly biker-looking men on the left. One of them will ask you to play track 6 on the jukebox. Make sure to select it so it starts playing. Later, when you’re heading to the town hall with the sheriff to get the keys, you’ll pass by the diner again. Go inside and play track 6 on the jukebox a second time. Once track 6 has been played twice, the trophy will unlock. Make sure both plays are completed in the correct order.

Unlock Details
This is missable and only available at the start of Episode 4 inside Hartman’s Lodge. After Hartman leaves you with the Anderson brothers, return to your room to trigger nightfall. Once you get the key to access the staff wing, head toward Hartman’s office. After passing through the double doors from the atrium, take the first left into a room filled with paintings. Ignore the artwork and go straight to the desk with the computer. You will find a tape recorder there. Interact with it and play all three recordings in full. Stay in the room and manually start the next tape after each one ends. Let all three play completely and the trophy will unlock.
Trophy: Bright Falls Aficionado
You examined every sign and point of interest in Bright Falls.

This collectible trophy unlocks when you have examined all 25 signs and points of interest around Bright Falls. These are the local history plaques scattered throughout the town, offering details on events, missing persons, and the history of Bright Falls. Key locations include the streets near the ferry and gas station, the diner, the motel, the town square, and various alleyways. You’ll also find some inside the sheriff’s office and Hartman’s Lodge. Simply interact with each plaque to check it off—once all 25 have been viewed, the trophy will unlock.

Trophy: Collector's Edition
You discovered every manuscript page in the game.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks when you find all 106 manuscript pages of the “Departure” story. Most pages—91 of them—can be collected on Easy or Normal difficulty, but the remaining 15 are exclusive to Nightmare. The pages are generally easy to spot, with only about 10% placed slightly off your normal progression path, including the Nightmare-specific ones. Keep in mind, you cannot earn this trophy without playing through Nightmare, so plan accordingly. Following a guide or marking chapters carefully will help ensure you don’t miss any critical pages needed for both the story and the trophy.

Trophy: Couch Potato
You watched every television program.
Type: Gold

The 14 TVs are scattered throughout Bright Falls and surrounding areas. The first is in the motel lobby during Episode 1, while others are in motel rooms, the diner, and various cabins along the road to Cauldron Lake. You don’t need to watch the full program—just turning them on will count.

Trophy: Damn Good Cup of Coffee
You found 25 coffee thermoses.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks after collecting 25 coffee thermoses during the game. Coffee thermoses are small collectible items scattered throughout Bright Falls and the surrounding areas. They are often placed in visible spots such as porches, park benches, building interiors, and along forest paths. Because many are located near the main route, you will likely collect several naturally while progressing through the story. If you keep an eye out while exploring each episode, reaching 25 thermoses should happen without too much trouble. Continue collecting them whenever you see them since finding every thermos in the game is required for the full collectible completion trophy.
Trophy: Every Nook and Cranny
You discovered every hidden chest.
Type: Bronze
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
This collectible trophy is earned by finding all 30 hidden chests in Bright Falls. Keep a sharp eye out for gold paint that marks their locations, along with small blobs and directional arrows that guide you. Each chest is marked by a candle in a circle either above or next to it, so following these visual cues will make collecting them much easier. Once all 30 are found, the trophy will unlock.
Trophy: Finders Keepers
You discovered five hidden chests.
Type: Bronze
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks after discovering five hidden supply chests throughout the game. These chests contain useful resources such as ammunition, batteries, and other supplies, and they are usually found slightly off the main path in forest areas and side locations. As you explore each episode, keep an eye out for yellow paint markings on trees, rocks, or nearby objects. These markings typically point toward a hidden chest nearby. Following these markings will often lead you to a supply cache tucked away from the main route. You only need to find five chests for this trophy, so it will often unlock naturally if you explore a few side paths during your playthrough. Continue searching for more chests if you are also working toward the trophy for finding every hidden chest in the game.
Trophy: Hypercaffeinated
You discovered every coffee thermos.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
The coffee thermoses are scattered all across Bright Falls and its surrounding areas. The first thermos is on the ferry as soon as you take control of Alan. Other notable locations include the road to Cauldron Lake, inside the gas station, the motel, and Hartman’s Lodge. You’ll find several along the streets of Bright Falls and in alleyways, usually sitting on counters, tables, or benches. Some are tucked behind objects or inside small rooms, like inside the police station or inside cabins near the lake. The last thermos appears in Episode 6 just before the final confrontation at Cauldron Lake. Exploring thoroughly and checking every interior and exterior will net you almost all of them naturally.
Trophy: KBF-FM
You listened to every radio show in the game.
Type: Gold
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
The 11 radios are mostly placed after key story beats. You’ll find one in the ferry at the start of Episode 1, several in the motel rooms, and one inside the sheriff’s office. Other notable locations include the diner, the gas station, and the lodge in Episode 4. The final radio is inside Cauldron Lake, usually near a narrative event. You don’t need to listen to them fully; just turning them on is enough. Following the story sequentially will make sure you don’t miss any.

Trophy: Paging Mr. Wake
You discovered 25 manuscript pages.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks after collecting 25 manuscript pages during the game. Manuscript pages are scattered throughout the episodes and often appear along the main path or in nearby side areas. As you explore each location, keep an eye out for glowing pages lying on the ground or near important story locations. Many of them are placed directly along the route you will naturally travel, so collecting 25 usually happens without too much effort during a normal playthrough. If you are aiming for full completion, continue collecting manuscript pages whenever you see them. Gathering them consistently throughout the game will make it much easier to unlock the trophies for collecting every manuscript page later.
Trophy: Picking Up After Yourself
You found every manuscript page in Normal mode.
Type: Silver
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks after collecting every manuscript page available while playing on Normal difficulty. Manuscript pages are hidden across all episodes and are usually found along story paths, inside buildings, or just slightly off the main route. Exploring each area carefully will help you find most of them naturally, especially if you check side paths and small locations near your objectives. The glowing pages are fairly easy to spot once you start looking for them. Collecting all manuscript pages during a Normal difficulty playthrough contributes toward the final collectible challenge for completing the full manuscript collection in the game.
Trophy: Back! Back, I Say!
You used a flare to push enemies back.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy is earned by using a flare to create space between yourself and the Taken. You can either use it while at low health to gain breathing room or hold it down when surrounded by three or more Taken to keep them at a distance. Both methods work, but holding the flare during a dangerous encounter often guarantees success. Most players will unlock this naturally during regular combat sequences.
Trophy: Collateral Carnage
You defeated 20 Taken using environmental hazards.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks when 20 Taken are killed indirectly by your actions rather than direct attacks. Common methods include drowning, electrocuting, or using environmental hazards. Many of these will happen naturally as you progress through the main campaign. Key spots to get indirect kills include Anderson Farm, where you can push Taken off ledges or into hazards, and the Train Yard, which has an electric fence and multiple enemies in close proximity. If you’re struggling, the second DLC “The Writer” offers quick farming opportunities. On the floating path, shining your light near the word BOOM will spawn explosive barrels, and you can trigger chain reactions to kill multiple Taken. Later, near the Lighthouse, shining light on rocks marked CRUMBLE will collapse them, killing any Taken caught in the light. For most players, the base game locations like Anderson Farm are sufficient if you’re patient.
Trophy: Come One, Come All
You eliminated four Taken with a single flare.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Earn this trophy by killing four Taken with a single flare. The easiest method is to line up standard Taken in close proximity and fire the flare into the middle. Heavier Taken are less ideal, so focus on regular enemies. You’ll likely earn this naturally in later sections of the game where enemies group together.
Trophy: Float Like a Butterfly
You performed a successful combat dodge.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
You earned this trophy the first time you successfully perform a perfect slow-motion dodge in combat. When an enemy attacks, press L1 and move the Left Stick in any direction right before the hit lands to trigger a cinematic dodge and slow down time around Alan. The timing window is fairly forgiving once you get used to enemy animations, so you will likely unlock this naturally early in the game.
Trophy: If It Flies, It Burns
You destroyed several attacking birds.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy is cumulative and unlocks when you have burned a total of 1,000 ravens with your flashlight. Ravens first appear in Episode 2 while you are in the woods, but some can be encountered as early as the first chapter when returning to the cabin to save Alice. Hitting them with the light works the same way as dealing with the darkness surrounding the Taken. Ravens killed before their natural death still count toward the total. A reliable farming spot is above the cabin in Episode 1—groups of ravens will spawn, and you can burn them, then reload the checkpoint to repeat until the count reaches 1,000.

Trophy: It's Not Just a Typewriter Brand
You defeated 50 Taken with the shotgun.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Earn this trophy by killing 50 Taken with the shotgun. The shotgun works best at close range, usually taking down enemies in a single shot. It is moderately common and effective against Heavy Taken. Using it regularly during fights will steadily move you toward the trophy.
Trophy: Missed by a Mile
You performed 20 slow-motion dodges.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Earn this trophy by performing 20 perfect slow-motion dodges. To do this, press L1 + Left Stick in any direction at the precise moment an enemy attacks. The time-slow effect will trigger if done correctly. This is fairly easy to achieve over the course of normal gameplay, and doing it consistently will also unlock Float Like a Butterfly.
Trophy: Right of Way
You knocked 15 Taken off your car.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Earn this trophy by running over 15 Taken with a car. The first opportunity comes in Chapter 2 toward the end. Cars are extremely effective, headlights remove Taken shields and the bumper can kill enemies outright. Simply drive carefully and make sure to hit a total of 15 Taken over the course of your drives to unlock the trophy.
Trophy: Sound and Fury
You destroyed four Taken with a single flashbang.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy works the same as Come One, Come All but requires a flashbang grenade instead of the flare gun. Position four or more Taken close together and throw a flashbang to eliminate them simultaneously. Late-game encounters naturally present opportunities to earn this without extra farming.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/471RUnj8WCw
Trophy: Taken Season
You defeated 50 Taken with the hunting rifle.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks by killing 50 Taken with the hunting rifle. The rifle is less common than the revolver, but it normally kills most enemies in a single shot and is especially effective against Heavy Taken. Ammo is limited, so make each shot count. You can progress naturally through the game, using the rifle whenever you encounter enemies, and the count will build toward the trophy.
Trophy: The Six-Gun Scribe
You defeated 100 Taken with the revolver.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
Earn this trophy by killing 100 Taken using the revolver. You can start counting from your early encounters in Episode 2 and continue throughout the game. Make each shot count, especially on tougher enemies, and combine with other methods of dealing with Taken to progress efficiently toward the 100 kills.
Trophy: They're Heeeeeere!
You destroyed 20 poltergeist objects.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This cumulative trophy unlocks by destroying 20 poltergeist objects with your light. These are the objects possessed by darkness that attack you throughout the game. Your first opportunity is in Episode 3, but you will encounter many more as you progress. They are easy to track, and you will likely surpass the requirement naturally during your playthrough.
Trophy: Thunder and Lightning
You defeated 50 Taken using flashbangs.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks by killing 50 Taken with flashbang grenades. Like the flare gun, flashbangs are best used against groups of enemies and are moderately available. Each encounter where you use flashbangs to stun or kill multiple Taken counts toward this trophy. All these trophies—Revolver, Rifle, Shotgun, Flare Gun, and Flashbang—can be earned naturally as you progress through the chapters. Experiment with each weapon’s strengths and weaknesses, and you’ll reach the required kill counts without needing extra farming.
Trophy: Two For the Price of One
You eliminated two Taken with a single shotgun blast.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks by killing two Taken with a single shotgun blast. The easiest way to achieve this is to shoot one Taken when another is nearby, which will often damage or kill both. There’s no strict strategy, any shotgun works, and it will likely happen naturally in sequences where multiple Taken are grouped together and you need heavy firepower to clear them.
Trophy: What Light Through Yonder Window
You defeated 50 Taken using the flare gun.
Type: Bronze
Category: Combat
Unlock Details
This trophy requires killing 50 Taken with the flare gun. The flare gun is perfect for groups of enemies but weak against individuals. Ammo is limited in most episodes except for Episode 6. It also works well against ravens. Use it strategically in fights to maximize kills without wasting shots.
Trophy: Alan, Wake Up
You completed the game on Nightmare difficulty.
Type: Bronze
Category: Ending
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks when you complete the game on Nightmare difficulty, the toughest challenge Bright Falls has to offer. Unlike Easy or Normal, Nightmare forces you to manage scarce resources, plan every encounter carefully, and treat each shot with your flashlight or weapons as crucial. Some sections can be punishing, so it’s smart to retreat when needed and use glancing shots to keep your distance. Don’t wait to collect everything on this difficulty—hoarding collectibles here can quickly get you killed. Move constantly, avoid unnecessary fights, and conserve ammo and batteries. If you struggle with a specific area, practice it on an easier difficulty first so you can focus on survival during your Nightmare run. Enemies hit harder, take more damage to down, and will punish mistakes quickly, so patience and careful planning are key to claiming this trophy.
Trophy: Departure
You completed the game on Easy difficulty.
Type: Bronze
Category: Ending
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks for completing the game on Easy difficulty. Finishing the final episode and watching the ending will trigger the trophy automatically if you played the entire game on Easy. Difficulty trophies in Alan Wake Remastered are stackable. This means completing the game on a higher difficulty will also unlock the trophies for the lower difficulties. Because of this, most players will earn this naturally if they complete a Nightmare difficulty playthrough. If you plan to go for the platinum, it is usually best to focus on completing the game on Nightmare difficulty instead. Doing so will automatically unlock the Easy and Normal completion trophies at the same time.
Trophy: Hardboiled Writer
You completed the game on Normal difficulty.
Type: Bronze
Category: Ending
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks for completing the game on Normal difficulty. Finish the final episode and reach the ending while playing on Normal to earn the trophy. Like the other difficulty trophies, this one is stackable. Completing the game on Nightmare difficulty will also unlock this trophy along with the Easy completion trophy. Because Nightmare difficulty is required for full completion, many players will unlock this automatically during that run rather than doing a separate Normal playthrough.
Trophy: An Idyllic Small Town
You fought through Bright Falls without dying.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks by completing Episode 5 without dying. Most of the episode is straightforward, but there are two key sections that require caution: the Church Defense and the Chopper Defense. During the Church Defense, the sheriff fights alongside you and can take most of the aggro. Let her handle the bulk of enemies while you pick off stragglers with your torch or weapons to keep things manageable. The Chopper Defense is trickier since you are solo, with only two floodlights to help control the Taken. Keep the lights active between waves, running to them as needed to weaken the enemies, then attack with your preferred weapon and use the torch to stagger foes. Carry flares or flashbangs in case things get crowded. This trophy is easiest on Easy difficulty. Once enough Taken are defeated, head to the chopper to finish the mission. Don’t feel forced to stay on the helipad, positioning yourself safely while managing enemies is more important than following any strict route.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/a4ydnRN3uKU
Trophy: Carny
You knocked over five can pyramids.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
This collectible trophy is earned by knocking over five of the defenseless can pyramids scattered throughout Bright Falls. There are twelve in total, and you can topple them either by running into them or shooting them. Once you’ve taken down five, the trophy will unlock. Keep an eye out as some are tucked away and easy to miss.
Trophy: Energized!
You changed batteries 100 times.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks by using 100 batteries throughout the game. Anytime you use the focused beam of your flashlight, it consumes battery power, and you can recharge it by inserting a new battery. Your torch will also recharge naturally over time, but using batteries speeds things up. Simply press Triangle to use a battery when needed. This will come naturally during your first playthrough, as frequent use of the flashlight quickly adds up to 100 battery changes.
Trophy: Gunless Wonder
You reached Cauldron Lake from the dam without firing a bullet.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks in Episode 6 by traveling from the Well-Lit Room in the Dam all the way to Cauldron Lake without firing a single bullet. You can’t shoot your gun at all, but using vehicles, flares, flashbangs, and environmental hazards is allowed. Key tips include using the car in the first section and after the tunnel to safely push through Taken, using flares and flashbangs to clear pursuing enemies, and leveraging the construction zone floodlight, which can kill Taken without using your weapon. If you accidentally fire, restarting the last checkpoint will reset your progress. This trophy is easiest on Easy difficulty and will unlock automatically when you reach the tornado at Cauldron Lake.
Trophy: Meet the Deadline
You reached Cauldron Lake lookout in under 30 minutes.
Type: Bronze
Category: Misc
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks in Episode 3 by reaching the Cauldron Lake lookout in under 30 minutes after leaving the museum to meet the kidnappers. Speed and efficiency are key, as you’ll need to navigate a long distance filled with obstacles and Taken. Tips for success include avoiding unnecessary fights, moving carefully through platforming sections, and familiarizing yourself with the terrain, especially around the mine. Plan item usage strategically—some areas, like the Trainyard, can be bypassed without using items, while others, like the Train Warehouse, may require quick action. Ignore possessed items such as the Steam Engine, and use flares to manage ravens without slowing down. Skip optional collectibles, chests, and resources to maintain your pace. For best results, attempt this on Easy difficulty.

Trophy: Bright Falls' Finest
You finally managed to make that phone call.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks at the end of Episode 1 after reaching the Bright Falls gas station. The first episode is designed to teach the core mechanics of the game while introducing the story and the town. The opening dream section teaches combat basics while you move toward the lighthouse. After that, you will spend time exploring the diner in Bright Falls before heading back into the forest. The final stretch requires you to apply everything you learned earlier as you fight through Taken enemies and defeat Stucky at the logging yard. After reaching the gas station, interact with the phone to call the Sheriff and complete the episode. The trophy unlocks immediately when the mission ends.
Trophy: Child of the Elder God
You shone a light upon the night of otherworldly fiends.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks during the concert battle at Anderson Farm in Episode 4. As you progress through the farm area with Barry, you will eventually reach a large outdoor stage where a scripted combat sequence begins and waves of Taken attack while music plays. The objective here is to survive the entire encounter without your health dropping too low. Stay mobile around the stage and make use of the strong light sources positioned around the area. There is a powerful flashlight at the front of the stage, supply boxes along the back wall, and a healing light beneath the large dragon statue above the stage. Enemies will attack from multiple directions, so avoid standing still and keep scanning the stage for incoming Taken. The moving stage lights can automatically burn away enemy darkness if they pass through them, which helps thin the waves quickly. If enemies get too close, use flares or flashbangs to push them back and create breathing room. The safest strategy is to keep moving while burning away enemy darkness with the stronger flashlight and finishing them quickly. As long as you maintain good positioning and avoid letting your health drop too low during the fight, the trophy will unlock once the concert battle ends.
Trophy: Follow the Light
You were enlightened by a dream.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks during the opening Nightmare sequence at the very beginning of the game. As you move through the dreamlike forest and head toward the lighthouse, you will encounter a mysterious guiding light that explains how the core combat mechanics work. Follow the path forward while learning how to weaken enemies with your flashlight before attacking them. Once the tutorial sequence finishes and the scene concludes, the trophy will unlock automatically as part of the story progression.
Trophy: Gatekeeper
You mastered the floodgates.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks in Episode 5 when solving the floodgate puzzle near the transformer yard. After meeting Cynthia Weaver, also known as the Lady of the Light, she asks Alan to cut the power to the transformer yard before she will help him further. To reach the control panel you must cross a set of bridges controlled by a simple floodgate puzzle. Three buttons control different bridge combinations. The correct solution is to activate the far right button first and then activate the middle button. This will align the bridges so you can cross to the other side. Once the bridges are aligned, walk across and interact with the control button to complete the task. Doing this successfully unlocks the trophy.
Trophy: Heavy Metal
You destroyed the bulldozer.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks during Episode 3 when you encounter the possessed bulldozer in a large construction yard. As you move through the episode you will eventually enter a wide open work site, and once you step inside the area a possessed bulldozer will begin attacking along with several Taken. The bulldozer will repeatedly charge around the yard while the Taken attempt to attack you at the same time. Keep moving and watch the direction of the bulldozer so you can avoid getting run over. You can even use the bulldozer to your advantage by luring Taken into its path as it charges across the area. Focus your light on the machine whenever it stops long enough to expose its darkness shield. After weakening it with the flashlight, continue damaging it until the possession breaks and the bulldozer is destroyed. Defeating the possessed bulldozer will unlock the trophy. This encounter can technically be avoided if you run through the area without engaging it. If you are aiming for the trophy, make sure you stay and destroy the bulldozer instead of skipping the fight.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/KKcGpQAGM5k
Trophy: Iron Horse
You made the train engine run out of steam.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks later in Episode 3 when you encounter a possessed steam train in the ghost town section of the level. As you progress through the area you will eventually reach a train yard where a locomotive becomes possessed by the darkness and begins attacking. The train fight happens in two phases. First you will need to focus your flashlight on the boiler to burn away the darkness protecting it. Once that section is weakened and destroyed, the fight continues with the cab of the locomotive. Keep your distance while burning away the darkness shield with your light, then deal damage once the shield breaks. After destroying both parts of the possessed train, the trophy will unlock. Just like the bulldozer encounter earlier in the episode, this fight can be bypassed if you run past the area. Make sure you engage and destroy the locomotive if you want the trophy to unlock.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/yiycv10KQ0g
Trophy: Let There Be Light
You restored power to the area.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks during the story when you restore power at Bird Leg Cabin. As you approach the cabin, you will need to head to the shed located just behind the house to start the generator. Interact with the generator and complete the short starting mini game to bring the power back online. Once the generator successfully starts and electricity is restored to the cabin, the trophy will unlock automatically as part of the story progression.
Trophy: Nordic Walking
Unlike Stucky, you enjoy incontestable health benefits.
Type: Bronze
Category: Story
Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks after defeating Stucky during the forest section leading to the Bright Falls gas station. After the cabin sequence, you will wake up in the forest and begin making your way along the road toward the nearby fuel station. Along the path you will eventually reach a logging yard where Stucky appears as your first major boss encounter. He moves quickly and can be difficult to track, so focus on burning away his darkness first with the flashlight. Try not to overuse the focused beam too early. Slowly drain his shield until he pauses, then unload your revolver shots into him. Once Stucky is defeated, the trophy will unlock.

This trophy unlocks at the end of Episode 2 after completing the events in Elderwood National Park. The episode begins at the sheriff’s station where Alan receives a call from someone claiming to have Alice. Believing it may lead to her rescue, Alan heads out alone toward Lovers’ Peak to meet the supposed kidnapper. Once night falls, you leave the cabin in the park and encounter the ranger again in his Taken form near the ranger station. After defeating him, continue following the signs leading toward Lovers’ Peak while dealing with Taken along the forest trails. Eventually you will reach a cable car that breaks and sends Alan falling into the forest below. You will temporarily lose most of your weapons and only have your flashlight, but a nearby supply box provides flares to help keep enemies back. Follow the man who helps you after the fall and fight through several Taken encounters together. After reaching Lovers’ Peak, the man reveals that he is the kidnapper and demands the manuscript for Departure in exchange for Alice. An argument follows and both Alan and the kidnapper fall from the overlook. When you regain control, make your way back toward the cabin where Barry is waiting. A large flock of ravens attacks near the cabin, so defeat them before heading inside to speak with Barry. Completing the episode will unlock the trophy.

This trophy unlocks at the end of Episode 4 after discovering the truth behind the events in Bright Falls. The episode begins at Cauldron Lake Lodge where Dr. Hartman attempts to convince Alan that Alice is dead and that he belongs in the lodge as a patient. After escaping the lodge, Alan and Barry crash while trying to reach Anderson Farm and must continue on foot. During this section Alan temporarily has no weapons or flashlight, so the safest approach is to avoid enemies and move quickly through the forest until you reach a vehicle that allows you to continue toward the farm. Once you reach Anderson Farm, continue exploring the buildings with Barry while dealing with Taken encounters along the way. After progressing through several structures you will eventually reach the farmhouse where the power must be restored. Turn on the electricity and interact with the music player upstairs to trigger the next sequence. Alan then enters a dreamlike state where he finally realizes what truly happened the night he and Alice arrived in Bright Falls. After this revelation the episode concludes and the trophy unlocks automatically as part of the story progression.

Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks at the end of Episode 5 after reaching the Well Lit Room with Cynthia Weaver. The episode begins in the Bright Falls sheriff’s office where Alan and Barry are being held after Agent Nightingale arrests them. After the situation escalates, you will leave the station with Sarah and restore power before heading out to retrieve the helicopter keys. As you move through the streets of Bright Falls you will fight through multiple Taken encounters while progressing toward the helicopter. Eventually Barry is forced to retreat into the general store while enemies flood the street. Continue through the bookstore and church areas before regrouping and preparing for a helicopter defense sequence. After surviving this section you will be transported to the power plant where Alan must continue alone. At the power plant Cynthia Weaver appears and instructs Alan to shut down the transformer yard, which leads to the floodgate puzzle required for the Gatekeeper trophy. After completing this task the story continues toward the crash site and eventually onto the dam. During the final section you must outrun a massive tornado while moving across the dam. Keep pushing forward until you reach the elevator where Barry and Sarah are waiting. After entering the Well Lit Room and the following cutscene plays, the episode concludes and the trophy unlocks.
Trophy: Tornado Wrangler
You calmed the fury of the storm.

Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks during the final episode after defeating the tornado created by the Dark Presence. Alan must return to Bird Leg Cabin on Diver’s Isle to finish writing the ending to the story, but the tornado blocks the path forward. The fight takes place on a series of platforms where the tornado continues to attack while Taken enemies appear around you. The game provides unlimited flare gun ammunition during this section, so make full use of it to clear enemies and create a path toward the center of the storm. Once the surrounding enemies are cleared, aim the flare gun toward the heart of the tornado where Barbara Jagger appears. You must land three direct hits to weaken the darkness completely. After the final hit a cutscene begins where Alan uses the Clicker and dives into Cauldron Lake. When the scene ends, the trophy will unlock as part of completing the final confrontation.
Trophy: Under a Thin Layer of Skin
You disobeyed the park ranger's instructions.

Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks during Episode 2 when you encounter the park ranger at the ranger station. After hearing a disturbance on the road, you will enter the reception area and find the ranger badly injured. He asks you to restore the power, so head over to the nearby generator to investigate. When you reach the power source, you will discover that it has been sabotaged. Something attacks the ranger while you are away, and when you return to the station the back wall will be destroyed. Move through the opening and prepare for a boss fight against the ranger, now transformed into a Taken. The ranger behaves similarly to Stucky and moves quickly around the area. Focus on draining his darkness shield with your flashlight before trying to deal damage. Once the shield breaks, a few revolver shots will bring him down. Defeating the Taken ranger will unlock the trophy.
Trophy: Wheels Within Wheels
You found the kidnapper but the truth was not what you expected.

Unlock Details
This trophy unlocks at the end of Episode 3 after reaching the Cauldron Lake lookout and finally confronting the kidnapper. During this episode Alan is on the run from both the FBI and local law enforcement, and the main objective becomes finding transportation so he can reach the coal mine where the kidnapper claims to be waiting. Once you obtain a vehicle, drive toward the mining area and enter the main building where Alan waits for the kidnapper to make contact. After some time passes, you will finally hear from him and receive instructions to head to the Cauldron Lake lookout located beyond the old mining town. As you travel through the mining area you will encounter several possessed objects that attack as you move through the ghost town. Continue progressing through the environment until you reach the mine shaft. Inside the mine you will need to navigate through tunnels and operate a simple elevator puzzle before exiting back outside. After leaving the mine, move through the nearby building and prepare for a Taken ambush along the way. You can either defeat the enemies or push past them and continue toward the lookout trail. When you reach the bottom of the path leading to the lookout, a cutscene will trigger and the episode will end. The trophy unlocks automatically at this point as part of the story progression.
The opening episodes of Alan Wake Remastered ease you into the strange world of Bright Falls while teaching the core combat mechanics. Early on you will learn the most important rule of the game: light is your best weapon. Your flashlight weakens enemies by burning away the darkness protecting them, and once that shield is gone you can finish them off with your weapons. Take your time getting comfortable with this rhythm because you will rely on it for the entire game.
During these early chapters you should also start paying attention to collectibles like manuscript pages and coffee thermoses. They are scattered along the main paths and small side areas, so it pays to explore a little instead of sprinting straight to the objective. If you miss something along the way, don't stress too much. The game is fairly forgiving, and you can always Ask Gami if you want help finding a specific collectible later.
A helpful early playstyle tip is to treat light sources as safe zones. Streetlights, lamps, and other bright areas will protect you from enemies and give you a moment to breathe. If a fight starts getting chaotic, retreat to the nearest light instead of trying to tank everything like an action hero.
As you move into the middle episodes, the game starts throwing larger enemy encounters and more intense combat sections your way. Forest paths, logging yards, and abandoned areas become common battlegrounds where groups of Taken will try to surround you. This is where positioning becomes important, so keep moving and avoid getting cornered.
The mid game is also where players usually make the most progress on collectibles. Manuscript pages and thermoses appear more frequently, and exploring side paths becomes more rewarding. Keep your eyes open when entering new areas because many collectibles are placed slightly off the main route. A small detour can often save you a cleanup run later.
One experienced-player tip here is to conserve your stronger tools like flashbangs and flares for larger encounters. Regular enemies can usually be handled with the flashlight and revolver combo, so save the powerful stuff for moments when multiple Taken rush you at once.
In the later episodes the game ramps up the pressure with larger battles and more intense enemy waves. You will face longer combat sequences and environments that require careful movement between light sources. By this point you should feel comfortable with the combat system, so stay calm and focus on controlling enemy darkness before dealing damage.
Late game areas often combine combat with environmental navigation, so keep an eye on generators, lights, and other objects that can help you survive. Sometimes the best strategy is not brute force but simply moving from one safe light source to the next while thinning enemy numbers.
A good late-game tip is to slow down when fights start getting overwhelming. It is tempting to panic when several Taken appear, but patience usually wins these encounters. Burn away the darkness one enemy at a time and keep your positioning smart. You have made it this far, so the finish line is not far away.
Once you finish the main story, most remaining trophies will likely come from collectibles you may have missed along the way. Coffee thermoses, manuscript pages, and other optional discoveries are scattered throughout the episodes, so a quick replay of specific chapters is usually enough to grab what you missed.
Fortunately the platinum trophy in this game is very achievable and does not require extreme difficulty challenges. If you played carefully and explored during your first run, you will already have a large portion of the trophies completed naturally.
If you are hunting down the last few collectibles or wondering where a specific item is hiding, this is a great time to Ask Gami for help. Sometimes the final thermos or manuscript page can be surprisingly sneaky, but with a little persistence you will have that platinum trophy in no time.
