All Tales Of Baghdad In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Tales of Baghdad are short optional side quests scattered throughout the world of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Unlike main missions, they do not appear as traditional quest chains and usually require exploration to discover naturally.

These quests often focus on smaller stories across Baghdad and reward useful progression items like Skill Points, Favor Tokens, and currency. Completing all of them also contributes toward district completion and achievement progress.

Harbiyah Tale Of Baghdad

Holy Mission

Location: Northern Harbiyah, outside the Nestorian Monastery

The quest begins with a monk standing near the graveyard. Scan the area to highlight him, then speak with him to begin the tale.

Head to the northern edge of the graveyard and inspect the gravestone covered with red roses near the riverbank. After interacting with the grave, enemies attack the area. Defeat them to complete the tale.

Reward: Power of Favor Token

Abbasiyah Tales Of Baghdad

Blade In The Crowd, Tool In The Shed

Location: South-east of the Pharmacy of Haylanah

Speak with the Hidden One contact at the marker and follow him into the nearby marketplace. Defeat the corrupt guards in the area to finish the mission.

Stealth is optional here, so do not stress too much if the entire market suddenly turns into chaos.

Reward: Scholar Power of Favor Token

A Life’s Work

Location: Near the Observatory in Abbasiyah

Speak with Al-Mahani sitting near the Observatory synchronization point. After helping him to a bench, you must recover three missing astronomy pages scattered around the area.

One page flies across nearby rooftops, another is locked inside the Observatory behind a barred door, and the third is located near the top of the dome beside an astronomy device.

After collecting all three pages, return to Al-Mahani to complete the tale.

Reward: Skill Point

Karkh Tale Of Baghdad

Leap Of The Faithful

Location: Al-Mi'dhana Al-'Ateeqa Viewpoint

Speak to the frightened child standing near the top of the viewpoint tower.

Perform a Leap of Faith directly into the haystack below. After watching Basim casually trust gravity again, the child gains confidence and jumps as well.

Speak to him one final time after he lands safely to finish the quest.

Reward: Power of Favor Token

Wilderness Tales Of Baghdad

Curse Of The Si'la'

Location: Abandoned Village

This investigation-focused tale begins by speaking to Ma'Bad near the abandoned settlement.

You must investigate multiple clues throughout the village, including corpses, coins, tracks, broken pottery, and evidence near a cheetah resting on the beach.

Use Eagle Vision often since every clue highlights clearly when scanned. Once all clues are examined, return to the quest giver to conclude the investigation.

Reward: Skill Point

Treasure Hunt

Location: Northern Ukbara

Speak with the woman near the flooded house at the northern edge of the map.

Dive underwater and enter the submerged building nearby. Inside, destroy the blue vase to recover the hidden copper ore before returning it to her.

The quest is short but surprisingly relaxing compared to the rooftop assassinations happening everywhere else in Baghdad.

Reward: 100 Dirhams

Why Tales Of Baghdad Matter

Completing every Tales of Baghdad quest contributes toward full regional completion for the Explorer trophy and helps unlock the Crossing Paths achievement after finishing your first tale.

Although these side quests are smaller than the main investigations, they add useful rewards, world-building, and some of the more memorable character moments in the game.

What You Need

  • Access to all major districts
  • Eagle Vision
  • Basic parkour abilities
  • Throwing Knives for certain puzzles

Best Strategy

Complete Tales of Baghdad naturally while exploring each district instead of saving them all for the end. Most of them are located near synchronization points, viewpoints, or major story routes anyway.

Using viewpoints early also makes several quests much easier since rooftop pages, chase sequences, and hidden entrances become easier to track from above.

Warnings

Several Tales of Baghdad do not use obvious quest markers during objectives, especially investigation-based quests like Curse Of The Si'la'.

If you get stuck, scan constantly with Eagle Vision. Mirage loves hiding important clues in plain sight while pretending Basim suddenly became a full-time detective.

Rewards

  • Skill Points
  • Power of Favor Tokens
  • 100 Dirhams
  • Progress toward the Explorer trophy
  • Unlock progress for Crossing Paths
  • District completion progress

Tips

The Tales of Baghdad quests are some of the best side content in the game because they stay short, focused, and easy to finish between major assassinations.

Also, helping random citizens around Baghdad somehow always turns into Basim climbing rooftops or chasing flying paper. It is basically tradition at this point.

How To Unlock Every Hidden One Bureau In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

The Hidden One Bureaus in Assassin’s Creed Mirage unlock naturally as you progress through the main story and investigate targets across Baghdad. Each bureau acts as a Hidden Ones safehouse, fast travel point, contract hub, and story location.

Most bureaus are hidden beneath rooftops rather than accessible from street level. Use Enkidu to scout for the classic Assassin insignia and look for a green rooftop with an opening or skylight you can drop through.

There are four main bureaus in the game located in Harbiyah, Abbasiyah, Karkh, and the Round City. Once you enter a bureau for the first time, it permanently unlocks as a fast travel point.

Where To Find Every Dye And Costume In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, dyes are unlocked through story progression, eliminating Order Members, collecting Historical Sites, completing high-difficulty challenges, or purchasing them from merchants across Baghdad.

Costumes work differently from outfits. They completely change Basim’s appearance while keeping the stats of your currently equipped gear. Most costumes are earned through collectibles, major side activities, or endgame challenges.

Some exclusive dyes and costumes are also tied to Full Synchronization, Permadeath Mode, Twitch drops, Ubisoft Connect rewards, and DLC content.

All Lost Books Locations In Recommended Order In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

There are 7 Lost Books in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, including one hidden secret book unlocked after finding the others. Returning every book to Al-Jahiz at the House of Wisdom unlocks the Scholar trophy and cosmetic rewards.

The best way to collect them is by district progression. Start with the easier books in Harbiyah and Abbasiyah, move into Karkh and the Wilderness, then save the Palace of the Green Dome book for late game story progression.

Most Lost Books require small environmental puzzles involving barred doors, movable shelves, oil jars, or rooftop entrances.

How To Solve The Observatory Puzzle In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

To solve the Observatory puzzle in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, head behind the building during the A Life’s Work quest and climb onto the movable shelving unit. Use a Throwing Knife through the window to destroy the wooden bar blocking the front door.

Once inside, collect the three missing pages around the Observatory area. One page is inside the building, another blows away and must be chased across nearby rooftops, and the final page is located near the top of the Observatory dome.

Return all three pages to Al-Mahani outside the Observatory to complete the quest and earn a Skill Point.

All Gear Chest Puzzle Solutions In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Most Gear Chests in Assassin’s Creed Mirage are locked behind environmental puzzles, hidden keys, barred doors, or destructible walls. Common solutions include moving shelves, throwing Throwing Knives through windows to break door bars, and using explosive red jars to destroy fragile walls or floors.

Several chests also require story progression before they become accessible, especially late-game locations in Karkh. Using Eagle Vision regularly helps identify destructible objects, movable shelves, hidden windows, and keys much faster.

The hardest chest puzzles are usually found in Upper Harbor, The Four Markets, House of Wisdom, Dur-Kurigalzu, and Al-Jahiz’s House.

How Pickpocketing Works And How To Steal Easier In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Pickpocketing in Assassin’s Creed Mirage uses a quick-time event where you press the steal button a second time while a shrinking diamond lands inside the blue success zone. Successful steals reward Dirhams, trinkets, keys, or valuable Favor Tokens.

The easiest way to steal without failing is enabling Guaranteed Pickpocket in the gameplay settings. You can also unlock the Pickpocket Master skill to widen the timing window or use Sleep Darts to loot unconscious targets without triggering the mini-game.

Using Eagle Vision helps identify valuable targets quickly since rare loot carriers glow gold instead of white.
