Quick Answer

The Hidden One Bureaus in Assassin’s Creed Mirage unlock naturally as you progress through the main story and investigate targets across Baghdad. Each bureau acts as a Hidden Ones safehouse, fast travel point, contract hub, and story location.

Most bureaus are hidden beneath rooftops rather than accessible from street level. Use Enkidu to scout for the classic Assassin insignia and look for a green rooftop with an opening or skylight you can drop through.

There are four main bureaus in the game located in Harbiyah, Abbasiyah, Karkh, and the Round City. Once you enter a bureau for the first time, it permanently unlocks as a fast travel point.

Every Hidden One Bureau In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

The Hidden Ones maintain four major bureaus throughout Baghdad. These locations become increasingly important as the investigation board expands and new targets appear across the city.

Each bureau contains contracts, merchants, upgrades, investigation leads, and key story NPCs like Roshan or local Rafiqs. They also make traversal much easier since every bureau doubles as a fast travel location.

Harbiyah Bureau Location

The Harbiyah Bureau is the first major bureau players unlock during the main mission Baghdad Bound. It is located in the southern section of the Harbiyah district.

To enter the bureau, climb onto the rooftop and look for the signature green roof with a hole in the center. Drop through the opening to enter the Hidden Ones hideout and trigger the introductory cutscene.

If you are struggling to locate it, send Enkidu into the air near the local viewpoint. A yellow scouting marker will appear once the bureau is identified.

Abbasiyah Bureau Location

The Abbasiyah Bureau unlocks shortly after the opening investigation phase. It becomes one of the most frequently visited hubs because many contracts and upgrades route players through the district.

Like other bureaus, the entrance is hidden on the roof rather than the street. Look for rooftop openings and Assassin symbols while scouting from above.

Karkh Bureau Location

The Karkh Bureau becomes available during the investigation into the slave trade storyline. It serves as the Hidden Ones base for operations in western Baghdad.

The bureau follows the same design as the others with a concealed rooftop entrance. Once discovered, it becomes another useful fast travel location for contracts and collectibles in the district.

Round City Bureau Location

The Round City Bureau is the final major bureau players unlock during the later portions of the main story. Since the Round City is heavily guarded and restricted, having this bureau unlocked saves a huge amount of travel time.

Expect tighter security around the area compared to earlier districts. Thankfully, once the bureau is unlocked, sneaking back into the district becomes much less painful.

How Bureau Fast Travel Works

Every bureau automatically becomes a fast travel point the moment you enter it for the first time.

Open the world map and select the bureau icon to instantly travel back to the location. This is especially useful during late-game collectible cleanup, contract hunting, and trophy progression.

Because the bureaus are spread across all major districts, unlocking them early makes exploration much smoother throughout the rest of the game.

Step-by-Step

  1. Progress the main story until a new district investigation unlocks.
  2. Travel to the district tied to the investigation.
  3. Use Enkidu near viewpoints to scout for the bureau marker.
  4. Climb onto the rooftop with the green covering.
  5. Drop through the roof opening or skylight.
  6. Speak with the bureau leader or trigger the cutscene.
  7. The bureau now permanently unlocks as a fast travel point.

What You Need

  • Main story progression
  • Access to Baghdad districts
  • Enkidu scouting

Best Strategy

The fastest way to find any bureau is to climb to a nearby synchronization viewpoint first. Launch Enkidu from above and search rooftops for the Hidden Ones insignia or the recognizable green roof entrance.

Unlock every bureau as soon as they appear during the story. Even if you are focused on main missions, the fast travel points save a massive amount of time later during trophy cleanup and collectible hunting.

Warnings

Some bureau entrances are difficult to spot from street level. If you wander around looking for a normal doorway, you will probably spend more time parkouring in circles than actually assassinating targets.

Always search rooftops first.

Rewards

  • Unlocks permanent fast travel points
  • Access to contracts and investigations
  • Bureau merchants and upgrades
  • Easier district traversal
  • Story progression

Tips

The bureau system is one of the reasons Assassin’s Creed Mirage feels closer to the older AC games again. Hidden rooftops, secret entrances, and actual Assassin hideouts just hit differently.

Also, yes, Basim spends an impressive amount of time entering buildings through holes in ceilings.

How Pickpocketing Works And How To Steal Easier In Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Pickpocketing in Assassin’s Creed Mirage uses a quick-time event where you press the steal button a second time while a shrinking diamond lands inside the blue success zone. Successful steals reward Dirhams, trinkets, keys, or valuable Favor Tokens.

The easiest way to steal without failing is enabling Guaranteed Pickpocket in the gameplay settings. You can also unlock the Pickpocket Master skill to widen the timing window or use Sleep Darts to loot unconscious targets without triggering the mini-game.

Using Eagle Vision helps identify valuable targets quickly since rare loot carriers glow gold instead of white.
