The Reacher 100% Guide

The Reacher is one of the largest optional areas in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. While most players visit it to progress Maelle's relationship quest, the location is packed with valuable rewards and optional encounters.

Exploring every route will reward weapons, Pictos, Colour of Lumina, merchant items, cosmetics, journals, and one of the game's most important relationship storylines.

How To Reach The Reacher

The Reacher is located west of Visages.

To access the area, you'll need Esquie's flying ability, which becomes available during Act 3.

The area also serves as the destination for Maelle's friendship quest and eventually leads to the encounter with Alicia.

Important Collectibles

Throughout the area you'll find a large number of rewards, including:

  • Multiple Colour of Lumina

  • Baguette Hairstyle for Maelle

This is one of the easiest cosmetic rewards to miss while progressing through the area.

Petank Rewards

A hidden Petank can be found near the Manor Door section.

Guide the Petank to its platform and defeat it to receive:

  • Resplendent Chroma Catalyst x5
  • Recoat x1
  • Colour of Lumina x5

The Petank also leads players toward additional collectibles and enemy encounters nearby.

Merchant Location

Inside the Foggy Area route, you'll discover a merchant selling several useful upgrades.

Notable inventory includes:

  • Anti-Blight
  • Exposing Break
  • Charging Weakness
  • Tainted
  • Tireso

Defeating the merchant unlocks additional rewards.

  • Longer Shell
  • Charging Counter
  • Charging Attack
  • Protecting Tint
  • Healing Boon

Many require exploring optional side paths rather than following the direct route to the summit.

Alicia And Maelle's Quest

The ultimate goal of The Reacher is reaching Alicia at the summit.

This encounter concludes a major part of Maelle's relationship storyline and rewards players with:

  • Lithum
  • Painted Me hairstyle for Maelle

Completing the quest also advances Maelle's friendship level toward its maximum rank.
