How to Unlock

This is earned by opening all chests in a single cache location, which are marked by treasure chest icons on the map. Most of these areas only contain a few chests and are easy to clear while exploring, so you will likely get this without trying. Just make sure to fully clear at least one marked location before moving on, and you will not need to worry about hunting every chest in the entire game.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing the Corel protorelic, but it cannot be fully obtained until later in the story around Chapter 12, since only part of it is available during your first visit. This set of objectives revolves around the Cactuar Crush mini game with Yuffie and Aerith, which can be a bit tricky if you are not prepared. Since stats do not matter much outside of speed, focus on materia like First Strike and ATB Boost to get going quickly, and consider using Hermes Shoes for an early Haste effect. If Aerith feels awkward to use here, take a little time to get comfortable with her before retrying, it makes a big difference.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by winning the Queen's Blood tournament during Chapter 5 aboard the Shinra 8. You do not need a complex or late game deck to succeed, since many early cards are strong enough if used well. Focus on controlling the board and placing cards strategically instead of rushing, and you will find most matches manageable. If you lose, just adjust your approach and try again, since nothing here is missable and a steady playstyle will carry you through the tournament.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this during Chapter 12 by achieving an S rank or higher in the Loveless performance at the Gold Saucer. This is a QTE sequence where only your timing matters, not your dialogue choices, so focus entirely on clean inputs. It is a good idea to make a separate save before starting since you cannot freely replay it without using Chapter Select. You can practice the tutorial as much as you want beforehand, and while the first few inputs are slightly inconsistent due to a known issue, there is still plenty of room for error, so stay calm and keep your rhythm steady.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by fully completing every world intel activity in a single region, which includes several different types of objectives like climbing towers to reveal the map, securing chocobos for fast travel, rounding up moogles to unlock shops, following owls to expedition sites, completing divine sanctuaries to weaken summons, digging for excavation rewards, defeating fiends under specific conditions, and finishing unique phenomenon events tied to each region. Everything is marked clearly once towers are activated, so the main goal is to systematically clear each icon before moving on. One thing that can be confusing is certain divine intel locations like the one near Crow's Nest in Junon, which is actually below the village rather than inside it, so if something seems off, consider elevation and explore nearby paths instead of assuming the marker is wrong.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by digging up two hidden treasures using your chocobo in open world regions. When near a buried item, a question mark appears above your chocobo’s head along with a directional arrow, so follow that indicator and use the sniff ability to zero in on the exact spot. Take your time adjusting your position and camera until you are right on top of it, then dig to claim the reward. It is worth doing these whenever you see them since they can give rare materials, gil, and even region specific collectibles needed later, so do not ignore them as you explore.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing the Junon region protorelic, which requires finishing four Fort Condor matches. This mini game plays like a simplified tower defense system where unit color matchups are the key to winning, so always pay attention to deploying the correct types against enemy units. It is generally more manageable than previous versions of Fort Condor, but if a match gives you trouble, slow things down and focus on countering properly rather than rushing your placements.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this after obtaining your first protorelic in the Grasslands, which is introduced through Chadley’s intel system in Chapter 2. To get it, follow the Phenomenon Intel markers on your map and complete the sequence of encounters tied to it, including a mix of combat and light stealth sections. These are fairly forgiving and clearly guided, so just take them one step at a time. It is worth staying on top of these since protorelics are tied to some of the game’s more interesting optional content later on.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing every chocobo race in the Gold Saucer, excluding the Platinum Cup. These races unlock after progressing the appropriate side quest in Chapter 12, and your success will mostly come down to your chocobo build and clean driving. Focus on Speed and Acceleration when choosing gear, and use blue orbs early in races to build up speed before worrying about abilities. You do not need perfect runs, just avoid major mistakes and maintain your lead once you have it.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing the Gongaga protorelic, which mostly consists of straightforward combat encounters and ends with a fight against familiar enemies like Rude and Elena. By this point, you should have enough experience to handle them without too much trouble, so just stay aggressive and play to your strengths. One area that can be confusing is the Training Facility V B location, which is not clearly shown due to elevation, so head to the Cliffside Storehouse cache and look for stairs leading downward to find it.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by repairing three Chocobo Stops found throughout the open world, which are usually discovered by following baby chocobos that guide you to them. Once you find a broken stop, simply hold Triangle to repair it, and you can even do this while riding your chocobo, which makes things quicker. These stops are worth activating since they act as fast travel points and let you recover HP and MP, plus they reward Golden Plumes that can be traded for useful chocobo gear.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing five world intel activities, which are scattered across each region and clearly marked on the map. These include things like towers, combat challenges, and exploration tasks, so just engage with the open world naturally and this will come very quickly without needing to go out of your way.

How to Unlock

This is earned by completing fifty world intel activities across the game’s regions. If you have been consistently clearing intel as you explore, you will make steady progress toward this without needing to grind. Just keep checking the map and knocking these out as you go so it does not pile up into a long cleanup later.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing all Moogle Emporiums across the regions, which you will naturally encounter while clearing world intel. Each one involves herding moogles into treehouses by positioning yourself to guide their movement, while avoiding their attacks. Later stages can get tricky, but you can use wind currents to stun them and make things easier, and if you struggle too much, the game allows you to lower the difficulty with no penalty. Once completed, each emporium opens a shop where you can trade Moogle Medals for useful items, so make sure to grab manuscripts early to boost your character progression.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by earning at least an A rank on all six piano songs found throughout the world, which are tied to specific locations and side quests. Each song is a rhythm mini game using both analog sticks, and you have a decent margin for error, so do not stress about perfection. As you explore, check for piano icons on the map and make sure to speak to the nearby NPC after completing each song, since the trophy only unlocks after reporting back once all six are done. If one song feels difficult, take a break and come back later, your timing will usually improve with a fresh attempt.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by defeating Sephiroth in the 3D Brawler mini game at the Gold Saucer, but getting there requires completing the Can't Stop Won't Stop side quest in Chapter 13, which only becomes available after finishing every other side quest in the game. This is easily one of the toughest mini game challenges, since 3D Brawler demands precise reactions using both analog sticks to dodge incoming attacks before countering with L2 or R2. A very helpful trick here is to pause the game right before an enemy attack lands, giving you time to read the direction and plan your dodge, which makes a huge difference in later fights. When Sephiroth powers up and unleashes rapid combos, do not panic, these patterns are consistent and can be learned, and once you survive them he will always leave himself open for a free hit, so stay patient and treat it like a rhythm rather than a reaction test.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing the Nibel protorelic, which consists of straightforward quests that involve following characters and clearing combat encounters. Everything is clearly marked on the map and easy to reach, so there is nothing tricky here. It is a good idea to finish these as soon as they become available since they add useful context to the story and help avoid extra cleanup later.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this during the Junon parade in Chapter 4 by achieving a top performance across all three rounds. Before starting, make sure you have recruited all 10 infantry units for the related trophy, then arrange your formation by grouping similar units together to gain bonus points. During the parade, follow the color coded inputs carefully, red is a single press, yellow is rapid presses, and blue is hold, and aim for a solid combo each round rather than perfection. If you fall short, do not worry since you can retry by reloading, and a cleaner run with better timing will easily get you there.

How to Unlock

You will unlock this by completing the Cosmo Canyon protorelic, which involves the Gears and Gambits mini game. It works similarly to Fort Condor but adds a simplified gambit system where you set conditions and actions for your units, with priority determined by their order. It can look overwhelming at first, but you do not need to overcomplicate it, a simple and well ordered setup is more than enough to win. If things are not working, tweak your priority order instead of rebuilding everything, since small adjustments usually fix the problem.
