Trophy: The Planet's Hope

Earn all FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH trophies.

Type: Platinum

Tags: Misc

Unlock Details

This is your platinum trophy and you will unlock it after earning every other trophy in the game. Nothing tricky here, but expect a long journey since Rebirth is packed with side content, collectibles, and challenging endgame tasks. Stay consistent with side quests and intel as you go so you are not cleaning up everything at the end, your future self will thank you.

Collectible

Trophy: Materia Completionist

Develop all possible materia together with Chadley.

Type: Silver

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by purchasing every materia available from Chadley across all regions, which requires completing nearly all world intel activities in the game. Each region has its own currency earned from intel, so make sure to spend it within that region since it cannot be shared. You will also need access to the final region tied to late game content after completing all protorelics and summon battles, so this is essentially a full completion task. The good news is the game gives you exactly enough currency, so if you stay consistent with intel, you will not have to grind anything extra.

Trophy: 7th, Assemble!

Recruit all Midgar 7th Infantry units for the parade in Junon.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

You will unlock this during Chapter 4 in Upper Junon by finding all 10 Midgar 7th Infantry units for the parade. The story only requires five, so it is easy to miss the rest if you are not paying attention. Take your time exploring the area and make sure you gather all of them before progressing, since this is tied to a single chapter segment and is much easier to do now than coming back later.

Trophy: 1-Star Startup

Donate 10 items to the treasure trove at Johnny's Seaside Inn.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by donating your first 10 collectibles to Johnny’s treasure trove at the Seaside Inn, which becomes available after progressing his side quest starting in Chapter 6 and continuing into Chapter 9. Most of these items come from mini games and side activities, so you will naturally build toward this as you play. Just make sure you actually return and donate them, since it is easy to forget once you start collecting.

Trophy: 3-Star Hotel

Donate 30 items to the treasure trove at Johnny's Seaside Inn.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

This unlocks after donating 30 total collectibles to Johnny’s treasure trove. By this point you will have engaged with a variety of mini games and side content, so progression should feel steady if you are keeping up with optional activities. If you are falling behind, it is a sign you may be skipping mini games, so start tackling them as they appear to avoid a large cleanup later.

Trophy: 5-Star Hotel

Donate 60 items to the treasure trove at Johnny's Seaside Inn.

Type: Silver

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

You will unlock this after donating 60 collectibles, which requires a much deeper investment into the game’s side content. Many of these items come from achieving high ranks in mini games, so expect a bit more challenge here compared to earlier tiers. Stay patient and chip away at different activities instead of focusing on one frustrating task, and progress will feel much more manageable.

Trophy: 7-Star Hotel

Inform Johnny that you have donated all possible items to his treasure trove.

Type: Gold

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

This is one of the biggest completion trophies in the game and requires collecting and donating all 88 possible items tied to Johnny’s treasure trove. These come from a wide range of activities including mini games, combat challenges, collectibles, and specific story moments, many of which require top ranks or Hard mode completions. The best approach is to work on these gradually as they unlock instead of leaving everything for the end, since trying to clean this up all at once can be overwhelming. Stay organized, keep track of what you are missing, and treat it like a long term goal rather than a single grind session.

Grind

Trophy: A Materia World

Level up an orb of materia.

Type: Bronze

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

You will unlock this naturally by leveling up any materia once through AP gained from defeating enemies. This happens very early without any effort, but if you want to speed things up you can link AP Up materia to another materia using connected slots on your equipment. If you are ever curious about progress, just check the materia screen and you will see it filling up over time.

Trophy: New Blood

Raise your Queen's Blood rank.

Type: Bronze

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by increasing your Queen's Blood rank, which requires defeating a number of NPC players and then beating a specific tougher opponent the game points you toward. Just keep challenging players as you find them and your rank will rise naturally. If you hit a wall against the final opponent in Kalm, do not get discouraged since that match can be tricky, just adjust your deck and try a more controlled approach instead of rushing plays.

Trophy: My Job Here Is Done

Complete all quests.

Type: Bronze

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing every side quest in the game, all of which are tracked and clearly marked as you progress. Once everything is finished, a final quest called Can't Stop Won't Stop will appear, which acts as the true completion challenge and involves several difficult mini games. Some quests can be confusing due to limited guidance, so if something feels unclear, it usually comes down to finding the correct location rather than difficulty. Stay patient and methodical, and this will come together naturally as you clean up the game.

Trophy: Grind It Out

Attain level 70 with a character.

Type: Bronze

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by reaching level 70, which is the max level in the game. If you complete most side content like combat simulations and world intel, you will already be very close without needing heavy grinding. For the final stretch, equip Exp Up materia found around Chapter 13 and run high reward combat activities to finish it off. This sounds like a grind, but if you leave it until late game, it goes much faster than you might expect.

Trophy: Well-Rounded

Master all weapon abilities and limit breaks, including those found in folios.

Type: Bronze

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by fully mastering every weapon ability and unlocking all relevant skills across every character’s folio. This includes collecting all weapons, maxing their proficiency, unlocking all synergy and regular abilities, and obtaining each character’s level 3 limit break. If you have been keeping up with side content, mini games, and moogle shops for manuscripts, you should already be in a strong position. The key is to work on weapon proficiency as you go by rotating weapons in your party, since leaving it all for the end turns this into a much longer grind than it needs to be.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/d69QcZsgK2s

Trophy: Of Hardy Stock

Complete all chapters on Hard difficulty.

Type: Silver

Category: Grind

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing the entire game on Hard mode, which is a significant step up in difficulty and requires strong preparation. Before starting, it is highly recommended to complete the toughest combat simulations and obtain powerful gear like the Götterdämmerung to give yourself an advantage. MP management becomes a major challenge since recovery options are limited, especially in long story sections, so plan your materia loadouts carefully and avoid unnecessary spell usage. Take your time, save often, and treat each boss like a learning experience rather than trying to brute force your way through.

Combat

Trophy: I Got This

Win a battle.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this automatically during Chapter 1 in the opening battle tutorial right after the credits. There is nothing to worry about here since the game walks you through everything, so just follow the prompts and enjoy the moment as your first real step into the game.

Trophy: Exploitative Practices

Exploit an enemy's weakness.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will most likely earn this naturally in Chapter 1 or 2 by using magic that targets an enemy weakness, such as casting Fire on early enemies. If you want to speed it up, use Assess materia to reveal weaknesses, then hit the enemy with the correct spell. Once assessed, you can check enemy info anytime during combat using the touch pad, which makes this much easier going forward.

Trophy: Unfettered Friendship

Free a bound ally.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

This is earned when you free a party member who has been bound by an enemy, which is indicated when their name turns orange. Quickly switch to another character using the D pad and use a strong ability on the enemy holding them. If you react fast, this will happen naturally early on, so just stay aware during fights and do not ignore teammates in trouble.

Trophy: Staggered Learning

Stagger an enemy.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this automatically early in Chapter 1 once you stagger an enemy. Build the stagger gauge by using abilities like Focused Thrust or exploiting elemental weaknesses. Pay attention to the pressured state shown after assessing an enemy, since this is when stagger builds much faster, and using that window properly makes this mechanic much easier to understand.

Trophy: Break It Down

Use a limit break.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by using a limit break, which builds up as you deal and take damage in combat. Once the gauge is full, you will hear a sound cue letting you know it is ready, then just select it from the Commands Menu to trigger it. This will happen naturally early on, so do not overthink it, just let combat flow and use it as soon as it becomes available.

Trophy: Fledgling Summoner

Invoke a summon.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

This is earned by summoning a creature during battle, which becomes available once the summon gauge fills while fighting tougher enemies, especially when they are staggered. Make sure you have a summon materia equipped on an active party member, then spend the required ATB to call it in. If it is not triggering, it usually means the fight is not long or difficult enough, so try again during a stronger encounter.

Trophy: Team Player

Use a synergy skill.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by using a synergy skill, which is done by holding R1 and pressing one of the face buttons during combat. These abilities do not use ATB and are great for building it faster while coordinating your party. Try a few different combinations early to get a feel for how they work, since mastering synergy makes fights smoother and a lot more fun.

Trophy: No "I" in "Synergy"

Use a synergy ability.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by using a synergy ability, which are cinematic team attacks that require building up the synergy gauge through specific actions in combat. Not every ability contributes to this, so look for commands marked with the synergy symbol and use those consistently to fill the gauge faster. Once ready, activate the ability to trigger a powerful effect, such as increased ATB usage, raising limit levels, unlimited MP, or boosting stagger damage. If it feels confusing at first, just focus on using a mix of abilities and spells during fights and it will come naturally as you experiment.

Trophy: Weapons 101

Max out a weapon ability's proficiency.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by maxing out a weapon ability’s proficiency, which you can track in the Materia and Equipment menu under Ability Info. Each weapon has a specific requirement for gaining proficiency, such as staggering enemies, and completing that objective repeatedly will fill the progress bar much faster than just using the ability normally. Try to work on these as you play by rotating weapons and keeping characters with incomplete proficiencies in your party, since leaving them all for later turns this into a grind you really do not want.

Trophy: You Work for Me Now

Defeat a summon in battle and obtain its materia.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by defeating a summon in Chadley’s combat simulator and earning its materia. These fights can be tough at first, but you can weaken each summon up to three times by finding and completing their divine sanctuaries in the open world. If you are struggling even after weakening them, try adjusting your setup with debuffs and different abilities instead of sticking to the same strategy, since these fights reward experimentation more than brute force.

Trophy: Bladesman of Legend

Defeat Gilgamesh.

Type: Silver

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by defeating Gilgamesh, one of the game’s secret bosses, but reaching him requires a lot of preparation. First, you need to obtain all six protorelics and defeat every summon in Chadley’s simulator to unlock their materia. After that, you must survive a series of difficult summon fights where you face two at once, and only then will Gilgamesh become available. The fight itself is fast and unpredictable, with aggressive attacks that demand strong reaction time, so focus on clean dodges and well timed blocks instead of rushing damage. It is worth learning this fight properly since you will face him again later in even harder challenges.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/2n_zHP2hTYw

Trophy: Are You Not Entertained?

Complete all bouts in the Musclehead Colosseum.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing every challenge in the Musclehead Colosseum at the Gold Saucer, which functions as a series of combat trials with different team setups. Many of the hardest battles only unlock after finishing the main story, so it is best to save this for post game when your party is fully developed. These fights also reward a lot of experience, so it is a great place to level up while working toward completion, just be prepared for some tough encounters near the end.

Trophy: Staggering Success

Deal 300% or more damage to a staggered enemy.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by pushing an enemy’s stagger percentage to 300 percent, which is much easier later in the game once you have access to specific abilities. Tifa and Aerith are key here, since moves like True Strike and Ray of Judgment increase stagger damage during the stagger window. The general idea is to stagger a high health enemy, then quickly stack abilities that boost the percentage before unloading damage. It can feel tricky at first, but once you understand the timing and ability synergy, it becomes very manageable.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/0oAiL5fcop8

Trophy: Virtually Renowned

Complete all of Chadley's combat simulations.

Type: Silver

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing every combat simulation from Chadley, excluding tutorials, which requires finishing all world intel and defeating Gilgamesh to unlock the final challenges. The later simulations, especially the Brutal and Legendary ones, are some of the hardest fights in the game and demand a strong understanding of enemy patterns and solid execution. Make sure you have multiple fully leveled materia setups ready and adjust your loadout depending on the encounter, but more importantly, focus on learning attack patterns since that matters more than perfect builds. Stay patient, because this is one of the toughest parts of the entire platinum journey.

Misc

Trophy: Caching In

Complete your search of a cache location.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

This is earned by opening all chests in a single cache location, which are marked by treasure chest icons on the map. Most of these areas only contain a few chests and are easy to clear while exploring, so you will likely get this without trying. Just make sure to fully clear at least one marked location before moving on, and you will not need to worry about hunting every chest in the entire game.

Trophy: I Brake for Chocobos

Repair three chocobo stops.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by repairing three Chocobo Stops found throughout the open world, which are usually discovered by following baby chocobos that guide you to them. Once you find a broken stop, simply hold Triangle to repair it, and you can even do this while riding your chocobo, which makes things quicker. These stops are worth activating since they act as fast travel points and let you recover HP and MP, plus they reward Golden Plumes that can be traded for useful chocobo gear.

Trophy: Expert Ex-kweh-vator

Use a chocobo to find two treasures buried by rabbits.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by digging up two hidden treasures using your chocobo in open world regions. When near a buried item, a question mark appears above your chocobo’s head along with a directional arrow, so follow that indicator and use the sniff ability to zero in on the exact spot. Take your time adjusting your position and camera until you are right on top of it, then dig to claim the reward. It is worth doing these whenever you see them since they can give rare materials, gil, and even region specific collectibles needed later, so do not ignore them as you explore.

Trophy: Intelligence Aide

Gather world intel at five separate locations.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing five world intel activities, which are scattered across each region and clearly marked on the map. These include things like towers, combat challenges, and exploration tasks, so just engage with the open world naturally and this will come very quickly without needing to go out of your way.

Trophy: Intelligence Specialist

Gather world intel at fifty separate locations.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

This is earned by completing fifty world intel activities across the game’s regions. If you have been consistently clearing intel as you explore, you will make steady progress toward this without needing to grind. Just keep checking the map and knocking these out as you go so it does not pile up into a long cleanup later.

Trophy: Director of Regional Intelligence

Gather all pieces of world intel in a region.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by fully completing every world intel activity in a single region, which includes several different types of objectives like climbing towers to reveal the map, securing chocobos for fast travel, rounding up moogles to unlock shops, following owls to expedition sites, completing divine sanctuaries to weaken summons, digging for excavation rewards, defeating fiends under specific conditions, and finishing unique phenomenon events tied to each region. Everything is marked clearly once towers are activated, so the main goal is to systematically clear each icon before moving on. One thing that can be confusing is certain divine intel locations like the one near Crow's Nest in Junon, which is actually below the village rather than inside it, so if something seems off, consider elevation and explore nearby paths instead of assuming the marker is wrong.

Trophy: Founder's Bonus

Obtain a protorelic in the grasslands.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this after obtaining your first protorelic in the Grasslands, which is introduced through Chadley’s intel system in Chapter 2. To get it, follow the Phenomenon Intel markers on your map and complete the sequence of encounters tied to it, including a mix of combat and light stealth sections. These are fairly forgiving and clearly guided, so just take them one step at a time. It is worth staying on top of these since protorelics are tied to some of the game’s more interesting optional content later on.

Trophy: Fort Condor Commander

Obtain a protorelic in the Junon region.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing the Junon region protorelic, which requires finishing four Fort Condor matches. This mini game plays like a simplified tower defense system where unit color matchups are the key to winning, so always pay attention to deploying the correct types against enemy units. It is generally more manageable than previous versions of Fort Condor, but if a match gives you trouble, slow things down and focus on countering properly rather than rushing your placements.

Trophy: Cactuar Crusher

Obtain a protorelic in the Corel region.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing the Corel protorelic, but it cannot be fully obtained until later in the story around Chapter 12, since only part of it is available during your first visit. This set of objectives revolves around the Cactuar Crush mini game with Yuffie and Aerith, which can be a bit tricky if you are not prepared. Since stats do not matter much outside of speed, focus on materia like First Strike and ATB Boost to get going quickly, and consider using Hermes Shoes for an early Haste effect. If Aerith feels awkward to use here, take a little time to get comfortable with her before retrying, it makes a big difference.

Trophy: Honorary Turk

Obtain a protorelic in the Gongaga region.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing the Gongaga protorelic, which mostly consists of straightforward combat encounters and ends with a fight against familiar enemies like Rude and Elena. By this point, you should have enough experience to handle them without too much trouble, so just stay aggressive and play to your strengths. One area that can be confusing is the Training Facility V B location, which is not clearly shown due to elevation, so head to the Cliffside Storehouse cache and look for stairs leading downward to find it.

Trophy: The Gambit Paid Off

Obtain a protorelic in the Cosmo Canyon region.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing the Cosmo Canyon protorelic, which involves the Gears and Gambits mini game. It works similarly to Fort Condor but adds a simplified gambit system where you set conditions and actions for your units, with priority determined by their order. It can look overwhelming at first, but you do not need to overcomplicate it, a simple and well ordered setup is more than enough to win. If things are not working, tweak your priority order instead of rebuilding everything, since small adjustments usually fix the problem.

Trophy: Professional Handler

Obtain a protorelic in the Nibel region.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing the Nibel protorelic, which consists of straightforward quests that involve following characters and clearing combat encounters. Everything is clearly marked on the map and easy to reach, so there is nothing tricky here. It is a good idea to finish these as soon as they become available since they add useful context to the story and help avoid extra cleanup later.

Trophy: Moogle Lover

Max out your moogle emporium merchant rank.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing all Moogle Emporiums across the regions, which you will naturally encounter while clearing world intel. Each one involves herding moogles into treehouses by positioning yourself to guide their movement, while avoiding their attacks. Later stages can get tricky, but you can use wind currents to stun them and make things easier, and if you struggle too much, the game allows you to lower the difficulty with no penalty. Once completed, each emporium opens a shop where you can trade Moogle Medals for useful items, so make sure to grab manuscripts early to boost your character progression.

Trophy: Stealing the Show

Win the prize for outstanding performance in the Junon parade.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this during the Junon parade in Chapter 4 by achieving a top performance across all three rounds. Before starting, make sure you have recruited all 10 infantry units for the related trophy, then arrange your formation by grouping similar units together to gain bonus points. During the parade, follow the color coded inputs carefully, red is a single press, yellow is rapid presses, and blue is hold, and aim for a solid combo each round rather than perfection. If you fall short, do not worry since you can retry by reloading, and a cleaner run with better timing will easily get you there.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/MJijXtutYOM

Trophy: Card Royalty

Win the Queen's Blood tournament held on board the Shinra-8.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by winning the Queen's Blood tournament during Chapter 5 aboard the Shinra 8. You do not need a complex or late game deck to succeed, since many early cards are strong enough if used well. Focus on controlling the board and placing cards strategically instead of rushing, and you will find most matches manageable. If you lose, just adjust your approach and try again, since nothing here is missable and a steady playstyle will carry you through the tournament.

Trophy: Critically Acclaimed

Receive a review of S or higher for your performance in Loveless at the Gold Saucer.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this during Chapter 12 by achieving an S rank or higher in the Loveless performance at the Gold Saucer. This is a QTE sequence where only your timing matters, not your dialogue choices, so focus entirely on clean inputs. It is a good idea to make a separate save before starting since you cannot freely replay it without using Chapter Select. You can practice the tutorial as much as you want beforehand, and while the first few inputs are slightly inconsistent due to a known issue, there is still plenty of room for error, so stay calm and keep your rhythm steady.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/Q7yfkP-XZwo

Trophy: Polygonal Prizefighter

Defeat Sephiroth in 3D Brawler.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by defeating Sephiroth in the 3D Brawler mini game at the Gold Saucer, but getting there requires completing the Can't Stop Won't Stop side quest in Chapter 13, which only becomes available after finishing every other side quest in the game. This is easily one of the toughest mini game challenges, since 3D Brawler demands precise reactions using both analog sticks to dodge incoming attacks before countering with L2 or R2. A very helpful trick here is to pause the game right before an enemy attack lands, giving you time to read the direction and plan your dodge, which makes a huge difference in later fights. When Sephiroth powers up and unleashes rapid combos, do not panic, these patterns are consistent and can be learned, and once you survive them he will always leave himself open for a free hit, so stay patient and treat it like a rhythm rather than a reaction test.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/mcz2xtOaA60

Trophy: Piano Virtuoso

Play all six Piano Outreach Association songs well enough to receive remuneration.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by earning at least an A rank on all six piano songs found throughout the world, which are tied to specific locations and side quests. Each song is a rhythm mini game using both analog sticks, and you have a decent margin for error, so do not stress about perfection. As you explore, check for piano icons on the map and make sure to speak to the nearby NPC after completing each song, since the trophy only unlocks after reporting back once all six are done. If one song feels difficult, take a break and come back later, your timing will usually improve with a fresh attempt.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/embed/A0QiqT7SJ2k

Trophy: Hall of Famer

Win all chocobo races.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing every chocobo race in the Gold Saucer, excluding the Platinum Cup. These races unlock after progressing the appropriate side quest in Chapter 12, and your success will mostly come down to your chocobo build and clean driving. Focus on Speed and Acceleration when choosing gear, and use blue orbs early in races to build up speed before worrying about abilities. You do not need perfect runs, just avoid major mistakes and maintain your lead once you have it.

Story

Trophy: Never Meet Your Heroes

Complete Chapter 1.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by finishing Chapter 1, Fall of a Hero, which acts as the game’s tutorial and introduces the core combat systems. Take your time here and get comfortable with the Combat Synergy system because it becomes very important later on. If you rush through this section, you will likely feel it in tougher fights down the line, so treat this like your training ground.

Trophy: Swampy Situation

Complete Chapter 2.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

This unlocks after completing Chapter 2, A New Journey Begins, where the game opens up and introduces side quests and the intel system. It is highly recommended to clear all available side content and intel objectives before moving on since everything is clearly marked on the map and designed to be completed in order. Doing this now keeps progression smooth and avoids having to come back overleveled later, which can make early content feel like a chore.

Trophy: Make Mine Black

Complete Chapter 3.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by finishing Chapter 3, Deeper into Darkness, which shifts focus toward using multiple party members effectively. The game starts pushing you to understand each character’s strengths and playstyle, so do not rely on just one setup. If something is not clicking, take a quick look at the in-game manual since it does a solid job explaining each character’s role and can save you a lot of frustration in upcoming fights.

Trophy: The President's Commendation

Complete Chapter 4.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

This unlocks after completing Chapter 4, Dawn of a New Era, where the game again encourages full exploration of side quests and intel objectives before progressing. Enemies are noticeably stronger here, so feel free to tackle objectives in whatever order feels manageable instead of strictly following the map flow. Before moving on, double check the in-game tracker to make sure everything is complete so you do not have to revisit the area later. One thing that can trip people up is Divine Intel 3, which is located underneath Crow's Nest rather than inside it. Fast travel to Crow's Nest South Gate, then head right and down to reach it, and do not worry if it feels confusing at first since the map does not show elevation very well.

Trophy: Cryptic Cameo

Complete Chapter 5.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by finishing Chapter 5, Blood in the Water, but there is one important thing you should not ignore here. During this chapter you can enter a Queen's Blood tournament, and you should absolutely sign up and win it since it rewards a collectible tied to post game content and the Card Royalty trophy. If you skip it or lose, you can return later using Chapter Select or on Hard mode, but it will be more difficult, so it is much easier to just handle it now while the difficulty is lower.

Trophy: Fun in the Sun

Complete Chapter 6.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

This unlocks after completing Chapter 6, Fool's Paradise, where the game leans heavily into mini games and expects you to be comfortable with Synergy Skills and Abilities. You will need to not only complete several mini games but also achieve top ranks, so do not stress if you cannot do everything right away since most of them can be revisited later. One section that can be annoying involves finding Cactuar pictures using a limited map, so keep an eye out for easy to miss spots like a pillar in the sea near the docks, the Surf and Curtain sign, a rock in the alley between Run Wild and the photo spot, and even a small pink cactuar on a red fire hydrant. If one feels impossible to spot, you are not alone, just slow down and scan carefully.

Trophy: The Price of Progress

Complete Chapter 7.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing Chapter 7, Those Left Behind, which is a good point to stay on top of ongoing side systems. Make sure you continue challenging Queen's Blood opponents whenever possible and aim for at least an A rank on every piano performance to avoid a big cleanup later. If you miss any weapons along the way do not stress since they can be purchased from weapon shops, so focus more on progression and keeping your skills sharp.

Trophy: Worth the Weight?

Complete Chapter 8.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

This unlocks after finishing Chapter 8, All That Glitters, where the game starts throwing a huge amount of optional content and mini games at you. It can feel overwhelming, but none of it is missable, so you can take things at your own pace and come back later if needed. That said, it is still a good habit to clear objectives as you go so you do not end up with a massive checklist waiting for you at the end.

Trophy: Crying Out

Complete Chapter 9.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

You will unlock this by completing Chapter 9, The Planet Stirs, where combat difficulty starts to ramp up in a noticeable way. Much like earlier chapters, you will need to fully understand how each character works since the game expects you to rotate and use everyone effectively. If fights start feeling rough, it is usually a sign to adjust your setup or strategy rather than brute forcing it, so take a moment to refine your approach and you will have a much smoother time.

You will unlock this by completing Chapter 10, Watcher of the Vale, which can be a bit confusing to navigate compared to earlier areas. Some side quests give you vague maps that are not very straightforward, so pay close attention to environmental details, especially the placement of fans, since they act as your main points of reference. If you feel lost, slow down and line up what you see in the world with the map instead of guessing, it saves a lot of backtracking.

Trophy: You're Not Murasaki

Complete Chapter 11.

Unlock Details

This unlocks after finishing Chapter 11, The Long Shadow of Shinra, where the game really starts testing your individual character skill. You will face multiple solo battles, so make sure every character has their SP fully spent and is properly set up before progressing. Two characters in particular have some tough solo encounters, so if you have been neglecting anyone in your party, this is where it will catch up to you, take a few minutes to prepare and you will save yourself a lot of retries.

You will unlock this by completing Chapter 12, A Golden Key, which includes a section near the end where you need to track down Cait Sith inside the Gold Saucer. The game gives very little direction here, so it can feel confusing if you do not know where to look. Check upstairs in the shop where he hides among plushies, talk to allies near the gates to trigger him moving, and look near a bench to the right of the entrance where he hides behind a Moogle. If you feel stuck, just remember he moves between spots, so keep circling the area and you will eventually catch him.

Trophy: I'm Here for You

Complete Chapter 13.

Unlock Details

This unlocks after finishing Chapter 13, Where Angels Fear to Tread, which acts as a point of no return for the story. Before pushing forward, it is strongly recommended to complete as many side quests and intel objectives as possible so you are properly prepared for what comes next. While you can clean things up later using Chapter Select, doing the bulk of the work now makes the post game much smoother and saves you from unnecessary backtracking.

You will unlock this automatically by completing your first side quest during the story. The game introduces these early and guides you directly into one, so just follow the objective and finish it. This is a simple introduction to side content, and you will be doing plenty more of these as you progress.
