Roadmap

Early Game

The opening hours ease you into Hogwarts, its classes, and the basics of combat, exploration, and spellcasting. Take your time here and enjoy it, because this is where the game teaches you everything you will rely on later. You will attend your first classes, unlock core spells, and start exploring the castle, which is packed with secrets even this early.

One important thing to keep in mind is your house choice, since several trophies are tied to it and cannot be changed later. If you are going for the platinum, consider keeping a manual save before the Sorting Ceremony so you can revisit it later instead of replaying everything from scratch.

A good early tip is to get comfortable with combat rhythm right away. Focus on dodging red attacks and using Protego for everything else instead of button mashing. If fights feel messy now, they will only get tougher later, so build good habits early and you will thank yourself later.

Mid Game

This is where the game really opens up. You will gain access to the Room of Requirement, mounts, more spells, and a much larger portion of the map. Side quests, collectibles, and exploration start to stack up, so it is a good idea to begin clearing things as you go instead of saving everything for the end.

Relationship questlines also become available here, and you should work through them alongside the main story since they unlock useful rewards and count toward trophies. Do not stress about doing everything perfectly, just stay consistent and chip away at objectives naturally as you explore.

A solid tip here is to upgrade your gear regularly and actually use your Talents instead of hoarding points. A stronger build makes combat smoother and faster, especially when enemies start getting tankier. If you ever feel underpowered, it is usually because your gear needs attention.

Late Game

As you approach the final stretch, focus on finishing the main story while wrapping up major side content like relationship quests and key challenges. By now, you should have most systems unlocked, and your character should feel strong enough to handle anything the game throws at you.

Before heading into the final missions, it is worth making sure you are stocked up on potions and have a good spread of spells equipped. Some late encounters require you to react quickly with different spell types, so having variety on your wheel will make things much easier.

A helpful tip here is to slow down during tougher fights instead of rushing. Watch enemy patterns, break their defenses properly, and use Ancient Magic when it counts. The game rewards patience more than aggression, even if it is tempting to go full wizard chaos.

Trophy Cleanup and Extra Tips

After finishing the story, you will likely still have a number of trophies left, mostly tied to collectibles, challenges, and side content. This is your cleanup phase, so go region by region and clear remaining objectives like Merlin Trials, Field Guide Pages, and side quests.

The biggest grind comes from completing all collections and side quests, so it helps to stay organized and not bounce around randomly. Focus on one category at a time and make steady progress, and it will feel much more manageable than trying to do everything at once.

If anything starts to feel confusing or overwhelming, just Ask Gami and get straight to what you need instead of wasting time searching around. Stay patient, keep chipping away, and before you know it, you will have the platinum and Hogwarts will officially be 100 percent complete.
