Trophy: A Friendly Push
Monkey strong
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Unlock Details
Launch Zoe off the swing using Mio’s Monkey form during Chapter 3: Hopes of Spring. In The Underlands subchapter, Mio and Zoe will move a large stone ore and eventually reach an area where Mio is supposed to use her Monkey ability to cling to grass on a fallen tree. Before doing that, look to the right. You will see a swing facing out over the valley. Have Zoe sit on the swing. Then have Mio transform into the Monkey and use R2 on the right side of the swing. Mio will give Zoe an extremely enthusiastic push and launch her into the distance. The trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Do this before using the fallen tree to continue the story. A friendly push. Straight into the abyss.

Destroy the bridge during Chapter 2: Neon Revenge. During the Play Me Techno subchapter, Mio and Zoe will reach a section where Mio needs to launch a metal ball toward Zoe using her weapon. Have Zoe catch the ball with her powers. Instead of using it normally, aim at the bridge directly above her and throw the ball into it. Destroying the bridge will unlock the trophy for both players.
Tip
As soon as Zoe catches the metal ball, look upward before continuing the puzzle. No worries. It's just a simulation. That makes destroying public infrastructure completely fine.

Trophy: BFF's

Complete the story by defeating the Final Showdown boss at the end of Chapter 8: Split. This trophy unlocks during the credits after finishing the final encounter. Split Fiction is very generous with checkpoints, so even if the final sequence gives you trouble, you will never be sent too far back. Both players receive the trophy at the same time. Eight chapters, countless near-death experiences, and probably several arguments over whose fault that last jump was. Friendship achieved.

Trophy: Bookworms
Complete all side stories
Type: Gold
Category: Online
Unlock Details
Complete all 12 Side Stories. Side Stories appear throughout Chapters 2 through 5 and are entered through special portals found away from the main path. Mio and Zoe will often comment when one is nearby, so listen to their dialogue while exploring. You can track your Side Story progress through Chapter Select: Checkmark = Completed ??? = Not completed Blue Dot = Started but not finished The 12 Side Stories are: The Legend of the Sandfish Chapter 2: Neon Revenge Subchapter: Play Me Techno After the highway chase sequence, the story places Mio and Zoe directly in front of the Side Story portal. Farmlife Chapter 2: Neon Revenge Subchapter: Streets of Neon After defeating Mr. Hammer and completing the following chase, you will reach a balcony where the story wants you to use an elevator on the left. Instead, look to the right. Head toward the fodders and pumpkin to find the Side Story portal. Goin’ Whole Hog and Huffing and Puffing can also be earned during this Side Story. Mountain Hike Chapter 2: Neon Revenge Subchapter: Big City Life Before Mio enters the porta potty that Zoe needs to launch across the traffic-filled gap, turn around. As Zoe, throw Mio toward the balcony containing the portal. Once Mio reaches it, kick down the ladder so Zoe can climb up and join her. Train Heist Chapter 3: Hopes of Spring Subchapter: Lord Evergreen Near the end of the subchapter, you will reach a pond where the normal route requires jumping across poles. Mio and Zoe will usually point out the nearby Side Story. Take the path to the right, then wall-run and grapple to reach the ledge containing the portal. Mio will need to dive underwater as the Otter and launch upward to reach the wall-run. Gameshow Chapter 3: Hopes of Spring Subchapter: Walking Stick of Doom After navigating the killer-flower pond as the monkey and fairy, both characters reunite in a large open area. The story route goes right. Instead, continue toward the large building at the end of the road. Pass through the platforms inside to find the Side Story portal on a wooden floor. Cold Potato can also be earned here. Collapsing Star Chapter 3: Hopes of Spring Subchapter: Halls of Ice Near the beginning of the subchapter, you will approach the huge castle using the grapple ability. Do not enter the castle yet. Go around its right side to find the portal between two large roots. Kites Chapter 4: Final Dawn Subchapter: Toxic Tumblers During the section containing moving cylinders and large pipes, you will reach a hallway where the main route turns left. Instead of turning, continue straight ahead. Pass the rotating pipe between the two trees to find the portal at the end of the hallway. Moon Market Chapter 4: Final Dawn Subchapter: Test Chamber After Mio and Zoe pass through their respective red and blue gates, continue across the platforms until reaching the one with four moving edges. Instead of continuing along the story path, look for an opening on the left. The Side Story portal is inside. Potion Chef and Chair the Load can also be earned during Moon Market. Notebook Chapter 4: Final Dawn Subchapter: Soaring Desperados You will reach an open section where both characters use jetpacks to glide over a large pipe. The story continues to the right. Instead, head toward the left end of the pipe and look for the Side Story portal on the colorless platform. Manage your jetpack carefully so it does not overheat before you reach the platform. This one is very close to the main path and difficult to overlook. Slopes of War Chapter 5: Rise of the Dragon Realm Subchapter: Water Temple During the section with two golden globes, do not use them to continue the story. Turn left and cross to the opposite side of the canyon using the flooded platform. Have both players step onto the platform and interact with the lever. Use the lever again, then immediately jump off. Once the second platform reaches the upper section, use it to reach the Side Story portal. Space Escape Chapter 5: Rise of the Dragon Realm Subchapter: Craft Temple At the beginning of the subchapter, you will emerge from a cave. Instead of heading forward along the story path, turn right while still near the cave exit. The Side Story portal is there. Birthday Cake Chapter 5: Rise of the Dragon Realm Subchapter: Treasure Temple The source provided identifies Birthday Cake as the final Side Story in Treasure Temple, but does not include its exact portal directions. Once all 12 Side Stories have been completed, Bookworms will unlock for both players.
Tip
If a Side Story shows a Blue Dot because you started but never finished it, enable Allow Skipping to Next Checkpoint in the accessibility settings. Skip forward, then complete the final checkpoint normally so the game registers the Side Story as finished. Twelve Side Stories later, you have officially proven that the correct response to “Should we stay on the main path?” is always “Absolutely not.”

Trophy: Chair the Load
Get off me...
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Unlock Details
Turn your co-op partner into a chair and sit on them during the Moon Market Side Story. After returning the first cat to the locked door, you will gain access to the marketplace plaza. Near the left pathway, look for a bookshop. There is a wand sitting in front of the door near a red cloth on the ground. Have either player pick up the wand. Use it repeatedly on the other player until they transform into a chair. Once they are a chair, sit on them to unlock the trophy.
Tip
Both Potion Chef and Chair the Load are found in the same marketplace area, so knock them out together before continuing the Side Story. Co-op friendship has officially reached its natural conclusion: Furniture.

Trophy: Cold Potato
Complete the Gameshow without the bomb exploding
Type: Gold
Category: Online
Unlock Details
Complete all 7 rounds of the Gameshow Side Story without letting the bomb explode. During Gameshow, Mio and Zoe need to keep passing the bomb back and forth while completing increasingly difficult challenges. Use R2 to pass or receive the bomb. Each successful pass resets the bomb timer, so communication is everything. You need to get the bomb safely through all 7 rounds. If the bomb explodes at any point, the run is ruined and you will need to restart the Side Story. However, if you know a mistake is about to cause an explosion, you can restart the checkpoint before the bomb actually goes off and continue the attempt.
Tip
Play it safe and pass the bomb early rather than trying to squeeze every last second out of the timer.
Warning
If the bomb actually explodes, you need to restart the entire Gameshow Side Story. Seven rounds of passing a live bomb back and forth. Finally, a healthy co-op activity.

Trophy: Feed Me
Take a snack
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Unlock Details
Feed your dragon during Chapter 5: Rise of the Dragon Realm. In the Water Temple subchapter, Mio and Zoe will eventually fall from the canoe and cross a large gap before learning their dragon abilities. Continue a little farther from that tutorial section. Mio can find a fruit tree on the left side, while Zoe can find one on the right. Have either player approach a fruit tree and press Triangle to feed their dragon. The trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Either character can do this, so just use whichever fruit tree you spot first. After everything your dragon does for you, the least you can do is provide snacks.

Trophy: Goin' Whole Hog

Make the giant sleeping pig fart during the Farmlife Side Story. After finding the first purple and green apple inside the barn, open the Pig Door and enter the second area. You will reach a large muddy section with a massive sleeping pig on the left. Look for bubbles coming from its nose. Have Mio use her fart ability to ram into the pig’s belly. If you hit the right spot, the giant pig will unleash a huge green cloud and the trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Aim Mio directly at the pig’s belly and use the fart charge from close range. You came here for a trophy. You left having weaponized livestock.

Trophy: Huffing and Puffing
It's not the big bad wolf you have to worry about
Type: Silver
Category: Online
Unlock Details
Destroy the stone house during the Farmlife Side Story. After finding the third purple and green apple, Mio and Zoe will enter another barn. Once you leave the barn, you will see a stone house ahead and hear dialogue referencing The Three Little Pigs. Have Mio go around to the back of the house. Look for the wall marked with a yellow circle. Use Mio’s fart ability on that wall to demolish the house. The trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
When you hear the Three Little Pigs dialogue, stop progressing and check the back of the stone house immediately. The wolf couldn’t do it. Mio’s digestive system could.

Trophy: Locked Up
No way out
Type: Bronze

Lock your co-op partner inside the cage during Chapter 6: Isolation. During the Maximum Security subchapter, before the section with the rotating magnetic bridge, you will pass through a room filled with lasers. In this room, look for an open cage. Have either Mio or Zoe step inside. The other player should then use the nearby console to close the cage door. Once one player is locked inside, the trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Do this before leaving the laser room, since the cage is easy to walk past while focusing on the main route. Nothing says trust like willingly stepping into a cage because your co-op partner said, “I think there’s a trophy for this.”

Trophy: One Bird, Three Stones
You couldn't have known
Type: Bronze
Category: Online
Unlock Details
Throw all 3 snowballs near the snowman during Chapter 3: Hopes of Spring. In the Halls of Ice section, Mio and Zoe will reach a bridge that leads toward the castle entrance. Before crossing the bridge, look to the left for a snowman with 3 snowballs beside it. Have Mio transform into the Monkey. Pick up and throw all 3 snowballs into the distance. After the third snowball is thrown, the trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Do this before crossing the bridge so you do not have to come back through Chapter Select later. Three snowballs. One trophy. Absolutely no birds were consulted.

Trophy: Potion Chef
I need your strongest potions
Type: Silver
Category: Online

Cook and drink all 6 unique potions during the Moon Market Side Story. After finding the first cat and bringing it back to the locked door, Mio and Zoe will enter the marketplace plaza where three cats run off down separate paths. Look on the right side of the plaza for a potion stall with a cauldron. Next to the cauldron is a board showing 6 potion recipes. Cook each of the 6 recipes and drink the resulting potion. The different potions temporarily transform you into various forms, including things like a cloud or a cat. Once all 6 unique potions have been consumed, the trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Either player can help make the potions, and the progress is shared between both players, so you do not each need to make all 6 separately. Apparently the strongest potion is the one that briefly turns you into something deeply confusing.

Trophy: Robot Revolution
Hasta la vista, baby
Type: Silver

Unlock Details
Hit the robot during Chapter 2: Neon Revenge. During the Big City Life subchapter, Mio and Zoe will enter a building shortly after the section where Zoe launches Mio across a gap in a porta potty. Inside the building, look behind the counter. There is a robot there, with three elevators farther back in the room. Have either player hit the robot. The trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Check behind the counter as soon as you enter the building so you do not accidentally take one of the elevators and move on. The robot was just standing there. Unfortunately for it, trophies have consequences.

Trophy: Rose's Best Friend
You made her cry
Type: Gold

Remove Cutie’s ear during Chapter 2: Neon Revenge. During the Play Me Techno subchapter, Mio and Zoe will eventually reach a subway entrance. Instead of entering the subway, look to the right for the Mastodon Pet Store. There is a familiar elephant sitting on top of the store that players of It Takes Two may recognize as Cutie. Use Zoe’s ability to remove Cutie’s ear. Once you do, the trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
When you reach the subway entrance, check the Mastodon Pet Store before heading underground. If you played It Takes Two, you already know this poor elephant has suffered enough. Apparently Hazelight disagreed.

Trophy: Snaaaaaaaaake
Could friendship bloom on the battlefield
Type: Gold

Shoot Zoe while she is hiding inside the cardboard box during Chapter 6: Isolation. During the Prison Courtyard subchapter, Zoe moves through the area as a green ball while Mio controls a moving turret and provides cover. After Zoe crosses the first gap, look for a cardboard box she can hide inside. Have Zoe enter the box. Then have Mio use the turret to shoot the box. The trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Do this immediately after the first gap so you do not accidentally move past the box. Stealth was going perfectly. Then your co-op partner found the trigger.

Trophy: Tazed and Confused
Adding insult to injury
Type: Bronze

Trip Zoe using Mio’s robot during Chapter 6: Isolation. During the Cell Blocks subchapter, Mio gains control of a robot that can extend a long tube. Zoe uses this tube to reach platforms that would otherwise be inaccessible. Instead of being helpful for a moment, have Mio extend the tube directly into Zoe’s path and trip her. Once Zoe gets knocked over, the trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Do this as soon as you gain control of the robot so you do not accidentally move past the section. Co-op teamwork is important. So is using industrial machinery to trip your friend.

Trophy: The Cake is Not a Lie
Congratulations, the test is now over
Type: Gold
Category: Online

Find the hidden room during Chapter 4: Final Dawn. During the Run and Gun subchapter, Mio and Zoe will progress through a 2D section that uses purple portals to move between platforms and rooms. Eventually, you will reach an area with 2 purple portals positioned close together on the floor. Use the portals to reach the high platform on the right side of the screen. Once you are up there, jump back into the same portal you just came through. Instead of returning normally, you will be sent into a hidden room on the left. Enter the secret room and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
If you are struggling to reach the correct height, use the nearby walls for a wall run before entering the portal. The cake is real. Which somehow makes this one of the least suspicious testing facilities in gaming.

Trophy: We're Gonna Need a Bigger Boat
Duuuun dun… duuuun dun…
Type: Bronze

Trigger the shark encounter during Chapter 6: Isolation. During the Hydration Facility subchapter, Mio can transform into a boat and carry Zoe across the water. Continue until you pass through the second rotating cooling system. After that, look to the right side of the water for a patch of bubbles. Have Mio carry Zoe directly over the bubbles and stay there for a moment. A shark will suddenly leap out of the water and the trophy will unlock for both players.
Tip
Once you pass the second cooling system, slow down and watch the right side of the water for the bubbles before moving on. Duuuun dun. Duuuun dun. Turns out the bubbles were not decorative.

Trophy: You Are Not a Robot
Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart
Type: Gold
Category: Online

Disarm the self-destruct sequence during the Gravity Bike subchapter in Chapter 2: Neon Revenge. After Zoe and Mio steal the bike, it eventually enters self-destruct mode. Zoe has one minute to complete a series of phone prompts while Mio keeps the bike moving. Use the following sequence: Swipe to unlock using R2 and Right Stick Right. Scan Zoe’s face by moving the Right Stick. For the reCAPTCHA, skip the first set of squares. On the second prompt, select the bottom 4 squares. Skip the third reCAPTCHA prompt. Select the first 2 checkboxes. Decline the incoming phone call. Open the Terms and Conditions and keep pressing Next until the blue Accept button appears. For the letter entry section, carefully type the required letters. Autocorrect may change what you enter, so backspace the incorrect text and re-enter the letters before pressing Enter. If everything is completed in time, the self-destruct sequence will be canceled and the trophy will unlock.
Tip
If you replay this through Chapter Select, enable Allow Skipping to Next Checkpoint and skip forward until the self-destruct section so you can retry faster.
Warning
Failing the sequence, crashing the bike, or running out of time may force you to restart the subchapter, and Chapter Select can reduce the amount of time available. Nothing proves you are human quite like fighting autocorrect while your motorcycle is trying to explode.

Trophy: Sisters: A Tale Of Two Besties
Relax on all 6 benches
Type: Gold
Category: Collectible
Unlock Details
Relax on all 6 benches. There is one bench in each chapter from Chapter 2 through Chapter 7. Both players should sit on each bench to make sure it registers. The 6 bench locations are: Chapter 2: Neon Revenge Subchapter: Big City Life When Mio and Zoe reach the pool area, go up the stairs in front of you, turn left, and grapple across to the building on the other side. The bench is on the left side of the balcony. Chapter 3: Hopes of Spring Subchapter: Halls of Ice At the entrance to Halls of Ice, you will reach the moving cube puzzle that Mio can push. Before doing the puzzle, go left toward the large tree. Head behind it to find a balcony with the bench. Chapter 4: Final Dawn Subchapter: Soaring Desperados Near the end of the subchapter, Mio and Zoe will hand over their jetpacks to enter the final room. After passing through the room where you give them up, stay to the left. The bench is in front of the large window. Chapter 5: Rise of the Dragon Realm Subchapter: Water Temple Near the end of the subchapter, Mio and Zoe reunite after Zoe climbs the two water wheels with Mio’s help. After Mio uses the hook to reach the top, head toward the left cliffside area. The bench is there. Chapter 6: Isolation Subchapter: Waste Depot After defeating the large robot, continue until Mio moves a circular platform to help Zoe cross. Near the end of the section, you will reach a waste container. The bench is to the right of it. Chapter 7: The Hollow Subchapter: Mosaic of Memories After using your abilities to cross the rotating lights, reach the other side of the gap. Look to the left near the cliff to find the final bench.
Tip
Use Chapter Select to clean up any bench you missed. The Chapter 6 bench is especially easy to walk past. Six benches. Eight chapters. And somehow sitting down becomes one of the most important things you do all game.
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu-KqyFG_hg&list=PLrUXkz1wHhUHhxsVJCZGkd6DXqrqjsEmH&index=10

Start by simply playing through the story and enjoying the co-op chaos. There are no missable trophies, and Split Fiction has a very generous chapter select broken into plenty of sub-chapters, so nothing needs to be perfect on your first run.
That said, you can save yourself some cleanup by exploring each area properly. Keep an eye out for benches for Sisters: A Tale of Two Besties and Side Stories for Bookworms. Mio and Zoe will often call out nearby Side Stories through dialogue, so if one of them starts talking about something off the main path, it is usually worth checking out.
As you move through the middle chapters, keep doing Side Stories whenever you find them and sit on any benches you come across. Most of the miscellaneous trophies are tied to specific moments, minigames, or Side Stories, so natural exploration will knock out a surprising amount without you even trying.
You do not need to stress about missing anything. If a trophy does not pop during your first visit to an area, keep going. Both players unlock trophies at the same time, so you are not creating twice the cleanup for the same requirement.
Finish the story and unlock BFF’s naturally along the way. By this point, you should have a decent amount of progress toward Bookworms and Sisters: A Tale of Two Besties if you explored instead of sprinting through every chapter.
Do not worry if some of the more unusual trophies are still missing, such as Potion Chef, Chair the Load, You Are Not a Robot, One Bird, Three Stones, Cold Potato, Tazed and Confused, Locked Up, Huffing and Puffing, Robot Revolution, Feed Me, A Friendly Push, Rose’s Best Friend, We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat, Are We the Baddies?, The Cake is Not a Lie, Snaaaaaaaaake, or Goin’ Whole Hog. These are exactly what chapter select is for.
After finishing the story, use chapter select to clean up everything you missed. The best order is to finish all remaining Side Stories first for Bookworms, then revisit benches for Sisters: A Tale of Two Besties, and finally knock out the miscellaneous trophies in their specific sub-chapters.
One of the more notable cleanup tasks is the Chapter 4 shooter minigame, where you need to coordinate with your partner and reach 1,000 points. This is much easier when both players focus on scoring efficiently instead of treating it like two separate solo runs.
If you are playing with someone who has already completed the game, chapter select can be used to rush through the remaining trophy requirements extremely quickly. You can technically turn the Platinum into a speed-cleanup exercise, but this is one of those games that is much better when you actually play the whole thing together first.
The Platinum is very forgiving: no missables, shared trophy unlocks, strong chapter select, and plenty of overlap between exploration and cleanup. The hardest part is not the trophies.
It is deciding which one of you gets blamed when the co-op plan immediately falls apart.
