Quick Answer

To complete the Seesaw Challenge in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, wait until the Half-baked Gestral lands on their side of the seesaw and jump the moment they touch down. You must successfully time four jumps in a row to win.

Jumping too early or too late will cause the challenge to fail immediately, so focus on timing rather than rushing. Completing the challenge rewards the Empowering Jumps Pictos.

Seesaw Challenge Guide

The Seesaw Challenge is one of several optional activities found in Verso's Drafts. While it initially looks like a combat encounter, the challenge is actually a timing-based minigame that tests your reaction speed.

You'll need to synchronize your jumps with a Half-baked Gestral standing on the opposite side of the seesaw. Success requires precision, but once you understand the timing, the challenge becomes much easier.

Where To Find The Seesaw Challenge

Head to the central pond area in Verso's Drafts where several seesaws are scattered around the water.

Look for the seesaw with an empty space available for your character. Speak with the nearby Half-baked Gestral to begin the challenge.

How The Seesaw Challenge Works

After starting the event, you'll enter a special encounter that resembles a battle.

However, dealing damage is not the objective. Instead, your goal is to successfully perform four perfectly timed jumps.

The challenge follows a simple pattern:

  • Watch the Gestral's movement.
  • Wait for them to land on their side of the seesaw.
  • Jump the instant they make contact.
  • Repeat the process four times.

Missing the timing at any point causes the challenge to fail.

Timing Your Jumps

The most important part of the puzzle is knowing when to jump.

Do not jump while the Gestral is still descending. Likewise, waiting too long after they land will also result in failure.

The correct timing occurs the moment the Gestral touches the seesaw. Think of it as reacting to the impact rather than predicting it.

Most players fail because they try to anticipate the landing instead of responding to it.

After a few attempts, the rhythm becomes much easier to recognize.

Seesaw Challenge Reward

Completing the challenge rewards the Empowering Jumps Pictos.

This Pictos increases counter damage by 100% for each successful Jump Counter performed during the same turn, making it a useful option for players who regularly rely on defensive timing mechanics.

Rewards

  • Empowering Jumps Pictos

Tips

  • Focus on the Gestral's landing rather than their jump.
  • React to the impact instead of trying to predict it.
  • Stay calm after each successful jump since all four jumps use the same timing.
  • Missing a single jump causes the challenge to fail, so consistency matters more than speed.
